Getting us started on a new thread; this one is gonna be a lucky one!

OP posts:
freelancegirl · 13/04/2011 22:49

TOWIE is on ITV2 - not sure if that's normal telly but I only have freeview and no Sky or anything technical like that YRMOTB and Mouse and MummyA. You need to watch it from the beginning. I mean, it's awful, but it's great. I watch it grinning from ear to ear all the way through.

Mouse glad you had a good weekend! Much needed I imagine.

I've started brown spotting tonight and a bit of cramping. It's either the last clot visible on scan at epu on tues or it's af. Hope it's both as it's one step towards 'normal' for the body!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 13/04/2011 23:17

Popping in on way to bed but just wanted to say I'm in awe of some of the fitness levels on here - mountain marathons bb ?

yrmotb dh has started doing triathlons over the last couple of years, I think it's a growing trend and I bet if you just google it you'll be surprised at how many local ones come up. He's mainly doing shorter sprint distances rather than the real iron man endurance types, but still seems to require a fair amount of training!

mummya have said on other thread but fab news on scan x

Will catch up more tomorrow - am knackered!

Freezingmyarseoff · 14/04/2011 12:48

Hello everyone
I've been a bit rubbish about catching up with everyone, a combination of lovely weather at the weekend (my washing line was put to good use Smile), upgrading our dying pc to a mac [new gadget emoticon], and now I've just been lent the twilight books [bookworm emoticon]

Just avoiding work catching up now

YRMOTB great news about getting the school place

MummyA that's fab news about your scan, so pleased for you. Has the MS subsided much?

Mouse Really glad you had a good weekend away - you needed it

Freelance your positive outlook is inspiring me, fingers crossed for quick referral

Ladybee welcome back, hope the cold's cleared up.

AandR Glad your body is getting back to normal with AF. Hope the blood tests are helpful

BBB pants about having to cancel the private appt, but tell us more about the mountain running. Which mountain will it be on?

I haven't watched TOWIE either. I've given up TV for lent because I used to watch too much CSI crap. It's quite liberating actually

DH is another triathlete, but has had no luck roping me in yet. Once upon a time I did 24hr mountain bike races but now I'm just too lazy busy
We decided we couldn't wait another month or 2 for my follow-up xray for chest so I managed to persuade GP that I should get it done early. SMEP is on so might not be around much in the next few days Wink

Waves to jolls, battery, digi, izzy, wiggle, velvet, loola, blackkat, chloe, zam

laters my dears

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 15/04/2011 08:03

(I'm sorry, I couldn't help it! Smile )

nickstermum · 15/04/2011 09:13

[thinks madness emoticon] Grin

[very impressed emoticon]

Puts on very tight suspenders for BB Grin

Hope you are ok lovely xxx

Velvetcu · 15/04/2011 09:47

hellooo everyone

Does anyone in the south-east fancy meeting up for lunch at mamaps place? I'm going to go anyway just thought it would be nice to meet a few of you :)

Youremindmeofthebabe · 15/04/2011 10:02

Oooooh. That sound lovely. Unfortunately I'm in Yorkshire. Where is it, Kent way? Just popped over there to wish you good luck velvet but I'll say it again here, good luck!

how are you doing? I saw your camping photos,lOoks like a good time was had?

Will catch up later when off the phone. Swi doing ok. I think I've got hayfever though. Never had it before. It's fairly shit!

freelancegirl · 15/04/2011 10:16

I am south east. OOh, I have never had a RL meet up! I might be a bit shy...

Morning everyone, sorry for the lack of individual response but I really must start some work. Yesterday I did about an hour's work, went to the dentist, went to the gym (hardcore workout - starting to ache now!), went to the pub, went for a pizza...Not very productive but much needed to cheer me up. I had managed three whole days without a drink and boy did it feel good. Just takes the edge off when feeling a bit low (see am not always Ms Positive...). Makes me wonder why I don't just crack open a bottle every morning :)

Just wanted to say I've been in bed reading Dr Beer's Is Your Body Baby Friendly and I think it's fab so far. Really informative. Just a shame more people don't follow his lead over here. Love to know if anyone has any opinion on it.

AandRMum · 15/04/2011 10:43

I am south east - I have forgotten where MamaP's pub is but I'd be up for checking it out. Any excuse really to have a drink!! Three days freelance rather impressive.

Goodluck freezing with SMEP. It works for me. I seem to get pregnant every two months on it (took 4-6 months when I didn't know anything about ovulation etc. [how did I ever get pregnant in the past emoticon] ) - just need to work out how to make them sticky.

Seems like a busy time of month - suspenders are on for BBB (they are feeling very tight - really do need to catch the exercise bug) YRMOB great commitment to the cause pushing on through with hayfever!

Hope it was Glamping Nix !

I am being a bit pathetic at the moment. I generally have a rather optimistic outlook on life but it seems whilst I can cope with and seem to put myself deliberately in the way of stress in terms of work and life - my health not being in order just feels a bit overwhelming. I keep imagining that I have something life threatening and then have horrible visions of my DDs growing up without me and get myself into a complete state.

loola2shus · 15/04/2011 11:13

Hi All,

Sorry I haven't been on for ages, had lap&dye on Monday and have been feeling rough/achey since.

Feeling a bit better today but cannot believe the effect that aneasthetic had on me (my 1st one) I still had spinny room syndrome most of yesterday as if I'd had too much to drink! I still feel as though I could dift off to sleep at any point! I have 3 lots of stitches but all dissolvable so don't have to go back!

Dr said that right tube perfect, left slow draining and very tortuous. They managed to divide some adhesions...and I can't remember any more than that as I was drifting in and out of consciousness!! Blush I have to wait until July 5th for a follow up appointment, which is frustrating, as thats as much as I will know until then Angry

Sorry update is so late, PC has a virus and couldn't remember password for MN to log in on Laptop!

Hope everyones OK, will try and catch up on news over the weekend xxx

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 15/04/2011 11:45

loola sorry you're feeling so rough, and that you didn't get the answers you needed on the day (July seems a horrendously long way away too Sad ). On the bright side, lap and dye does seem to lead to extra fertility, so who knows...

velvet I would love to join you but am over in the south west. It does look lovely though! Good luck (again!) for the scan today x

aandr sorry you've been feeling down, although you've had such a tough time recently that it's not surprising Sad. Where are you now in terms of the thyroid op? Have you spoken to the cons any more about it?

good luck to those on SMEP - I think it worked for me, although I was really lazy and gave up towards the end!

I'm saving beanbags for all of you btw - hoping to see some more bfps soon xx

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 15/04/2011 11:46

looks like you had fun camping and I can't believe you have a proper lovely bump now!! Have serious bump Envy here! Grin

batteryhen · 15/04/2011 18:41

Hello lovely ladies:) Am just popping in to wave at everyone :)

Am keeping my fingers crossed for BB, I am 6dpo today and for some very odd reason -I have had lots of creamy CM (sorry Blush) I would love to think it is a symptom but I am not that deranged .... yet.

Have a lovely weekend all, I am off to pick DP up, he is back for 2 whole weeks which is fab xxxx

MummyAbroad · 15/04/2011 21:27

hi loola sounds like quite a harsh reaction to the anesthetic Sad poor you, I was lucky in that I only got one "complication" and that was severe constipationConfused, I hope you have at least avoided that as it is quite common too.

Are you being given estrogen to promote lining growth? (I had 6mg per day for 6 weeks) Have you got a balloon stent or a coil fitted to prevent the walls of the uterus sticking together while it heals? These are quite standard treatments for adhesion removal performed by the "A" listers (those doctors that only treat Ashermans) Did you also get a course of antibiotics? or have antibiotics via IV during the procedure? This last one is really really important, do ask for them if you havent already got them. Get an appointment with your GP if you have to. I was also recommended by my doctor to take 1000mg of Vit E to promote tissue regrowth and reduce likelihood of scar tissue coming back. Many women I've spoken to (and me) took raspberry leaf tea/capsules post operation too. There is no hard evidence that this works though, the idea is to "tone" your uterus wall. Dont take it while TTC though.

Questions you might want to ask your doc when you get the opportunity (can you email someone?) are:
what extent (percentage) of my cavity contained scar tissue?
Where exactly was the scar tissue?
Was any of it calcified or dense? difficult to remove?
Were any heat source (laser instruments) used?
Was the scar tissue flat or banded?
Where the uterine walls stuck together?
How much (what percentage) was removed?

I cant tell you how much amazing support and knowledge I have got from the hundreds of women who are on the international support group for Ashermans suffers. You can join here, (its a closed group) or talk to people on the public facebook site here.

Hope you are OK and feeling much much better by the time you read this xxx

hairylights · 16/04/2011 10:52

Hello again everyone. We've taken the brave decision to ttc again.

Our bloods have been taken for rmc testing and all the doctors have said we can ttc again now (three mmc in the last year, las was early feb).

Do you all think I should leave it one more month for my body to settle? I've had two periods since medical management and I'm trying to eat healthily and get a little exercise. I seem to have no problems getting pregnant.

brokenbarrenbrook · 16/04/2011 15:47

Hello all, flying visit, no news I'm afraid, but no AF which is due today.... To take my mind off it DH and I went out for a 25 mile cycle and now my legs are so tired it hurts to stand up Grin

battery my "imaginary" symptoms this month started at 6dpo...... Just saying! Wink

hairy how are you darlin, good to see you. If you've been given the all clear then I'd crack on, that's what we did. If your periods have been back to normal and you feel up to it then go for it x

Will pop back in tomorrow with an update, I've got a test free house so will need to go out and buy one. Gulp.

AandRMum · 16/04/2011 16:02

Hi hairy lovely to 'see' you again. It is a rather brave move to try again. We are on 3 mc here as well - hopefully 4th time lucky! Ignore me if I am being too nosey but what tests have you had so far? Did the tests come back with anything? I don't think there is any reason to wait other than getting your head around it all. I am waiting for blood results which will hopefully turn up before I ov so I can decide whether we are ttc this month or not.

loola hope you are feeling better. I hate being put under. How long was the op for? I find the longer it is the more I spin!

battery I think we need to keep a close eye on you - creamy cm is always a good sign although I do find the day 5/6 symptoms are very misleading!!! Long may the symptoms continue.

bbb when is the date with the pee stick?

My very demanding customer DD1 is expecting her skirt to be finished in time for going to Grans tomorrow - so waves to all

MummyAbroad · 16/04/2011 17:17

good luck with that test BBB!!

hairylights · 16/04/2011 17:28

Hello bb I'm quite mad! But have to try again for my sanity!

a&r I've had chromosome tests (myself and partner) and clotting tests. I'm awaiting the results and get them on 10th May.

Youremindmeofthebabe · 16/04/2011 20:57

for BBB! How exciting! Have you got your prog script in preparation?

it's all very exciting in here- How lush.

hairy how lovely to see you again. good luck with the trying again, I think if you feel ready and there's no other physical reasons, then go for it now.

aandr sorry you're feeling down. It's so easy to let your imagination run away with you and think of everything that might be wrong, but try not to get caught up in the what-if's. I am well aware that this is so much easier said than done though..Hugs.

loola glad that you've had the lap and all was well enough. it is a very weird feeling, anasthetic, isn't it. perhaps you had just a touch too much? Mine made me feel very weird for a few days, although what was grief and what was anasthetic or the extra bleed, I'm not too sure.

I am currently 3 dpo, or 2. And delighted. Looking forward to a night offBlush.
I have been out for tea with my dad and his wife and eaten so much that I feel sick still, 2 hours later.. was lush though. Stopped at a farmers market and bought a blueberry and lemon crumble cake. Bang goes my calories saved by running. Watching the shit that it Britain's got talent.

Waves to all, hope you're all well.
