I'm going to test again tomorrow, so we will see what the morning brings..... Thanks for all the thoughts! (Oh and Grin at you VJay sounding like a monkey!)

Love to all, and sorry for lack of personals xxx

barbie1 · 16/04/2011 16:48

i wont be able to sleep! Good luck for the pee test tomorrow monkey...ill say a little prayer for you before bed this evening Smile

Dh back is bad Shock off sick for next 3 days or so, might not be able to post as much but ill try my best.

Re London move, dh might be getting promoted to work on a major project in korea Hmm, but this would mean moving to london first for at least 18 months. In two minds, Korea scares the crap out of me, but its all for the greater good, excellent career move for dh, and will mean we can be back and settled in the uk within the next 6 years. I like it here though, im in my little expat bubble, but i understand all good things have to come to a end.

Will keep you all posted, hope you are having a good weekend x

monkeybumsmum · 16/04/2011 17:07

Wow barbie Korea! It must seem scary, but at the same time do you feel a little excited? On a purely selfish note I LOVE the idea of you coming back to London though, even if it is only for 18 months or so. Maybe we can finally meet! Having said that, do you think we could organise some sort of Emmsy's meet-up this summer? I know you said you were back at some point - will you be in London or Devon?

It would be fab if lots of us could agree on a date and manage some sort of get-together. I can do lots of dates over the summer as I'm off work, and would love the excuse of 'having' to go to London Grin

Btw, I have period pain and an achey lower back Sad Have just been googling these progesterone pessaries, and they definately can delay periods, so I think it's probably that. Having said that, there is a really faint line on the test still, if I squint Grin Oh, and if I turn it the other way I can see it too - that's normally my 'test' to see if I'm just imagining it Grin Oh this is maddening! I'm such a POAS addict - I've made myself down loads of water this afternoon so testing again today is NOT a possibility!

monkeybumsmum · 16/04/2011 17:09

ps Poor dh barbie I really hope he feels better soon... Did he injure it, or is it something that keeps coming back? Sore backs are horrible Sad Send him get well soon wishes from me please Smile xxx

MummysLittleSunbeams · 16/04/2011 22:27

OMFG Monkey!

Right what colour is the line & how thick is it??? What brand of tests are you using? If it's one you have bought in the chemist (as opposed to online) then it's likely to be a positive. If the line is the same colour & thickness as the control line (no matter how faint) then it's likely to be a positive.

Period-type pain is good as I had them badly throughout the first trimester of both successful pregnancies. Cramps are one of the most common symptoms.

Compare your symptoms here

barbie1 · 17/04/2011 08:37

Grr dh is on computer watching grand prix. Im on phone to check on monkey. Everything firmly crossed here for you x

monkeybumsmum · 17/04/2011 09:21

Grin MLS! Well, I have done another test this morning, and the test line was all weird, sort of like an inverted 'v' rather than just straight up and down. Also, even though I could see it, it was soooooo pale that I'm not sure it had any colour to it. These tests are the ones from Access Diagnostics, so just IC's. They seem quite dodgy though, and even when I tested after my hcg shot (just to see Blush) it was a weirdly coloured line. Won't be buying these again! Did a Babymad one too, and no line Sad

Have got v bad period pain today, and it feels to me like these pessaries are stopping AF from coming, and it feels very uncomfortable. I really don't think I am pg Sad

How are you doing MLS? How are your girls?

Barbie How is dh doing? Is his back any easier today?

VJayJay · 17/04/2011 09:34

Monkey I am keeping my fingers firmly crossed for you my lovely, it is quite a head f&@k for you (((((hug)))))

mermaidspurse · 17/04/2011 09:43

oh monkey is it cyclogest that you are using? I have only ever been prescribed it after a bfp and yes it can delay bleeding. I don't know if it can mess about with the reading. off to google for you.x
I think you need a clearblue test lovely lady.

VJayJay · 17/04/2011 09:59

Monkey I have just been thinking and when i used the babymad tests they were incredibly faint AND remember you are only 13 days dpo. Mine were faint even at 14 15 dpo. It ain't over yet! X

mermaidspurse · 17/04/2011 10:08

have been driven mad by all those flashing sigs people on forums use. agree with vjay though. off to cross all the blades of grass in the garden.xxx

loueytb3 · 17/04/2011 10:09

monkey aargh - you definitely need a FRER or a clearblue to check. They are IC's and they can be a bit variable from one batch to another. Cramps do not mean AF is imminent - I always had bad cramps in the first fews weeks of PG. Yes cyclogest can delay AF but as far as I know it won't make any difference to what you see on a PG test. GO AND BUY ANOTHER TEST

barbie poor DH, hope the back gets better soon. I'm very excited that you might be coming back to London but I can't imagine where your head is at the moment. Its a lot to deal with.

Sorry for lack of personals (again) busy busy today trying to sort out various crappy diy jobs that need doing because of our houdini isaac who keeps trying to escape via the front door Confused

monkeybumsmum · 17/04/2011 10:20

Gosh Louey poor you trying to keep an eye on Isaac. Good luck doing the DIY stuff, and I hope it works!

Mermaid I think it's the equivalent of Cyclogest - it's called Utrogestan and I'm 'taking' it three times a day - yuk! I just want to stop it now and let nature take its course - the aches and cramps are getting really bad, all up my back and into my legs Sad Bless you and your crossed grass, I shall sit and imagine that Grin

VJay thanks for the hope! The end of the 2ww is awful isn't it, it drags like nothing else! I have an appt for a blood test on Tuesday morning, and will get the results Tuesday afternoon, so will know for certain then...

Right, am off to build a climbing frame Grin Enjoy your Sunday everyone, and thanks for all the support lovely ladies Smile

cupcakefairy · 17/04/2011 12:14

Hi ladies sorry for absence... have had nasty tummy bug and spent yesterday violently vomiting :( was so horrible but think I'm on the mend now...

monkey thinking of you loads, can't imagine what you must be feeling it's so flipping confusing :( hope you can enjoy a relaxing Sunday afternoon. I would love to do a meet-up in the summer in London too so we need to get some dates to discuss :)

Oh monkey what a confusing headf for you... Confused Roll on tues and some conclusive clarification.. Still sounds hopeful and im wishing that what started as a sad month for you may end on a much happier note, love the idea of crossing every blade of grass a'la Mermaid*! Grin Oodles of sand and a hug in the meantime..
Barbie oooh how exciting that you maybe coming back to London for a bit! Sympathies to your poor DH and his back though, its absolutely awful to be dehabilitated and in pain.. If he doesnt already know, knees together when getting on or off the bed, into the car etc! Also try laying on back and curling knees into chest for as much as comfortable!

That was reiterrated to me with my SPD and used again last wk! Im Shock for poor poor Buddha still suffering, you poor soul, are you having physio?

Also big hug to poorly Cupcake being sick is horrible.. Glad your on the mend, sounds like some chicken soup or jacket potato comfort food is in order..

Louey i did say congratulations about your sis didnt i? Hmm How do you manage running round after a toddler with a growing bump? Tis something that concerns me with the thought I could hopefully get pregnant again sometime soon!

Big waves to lovely Vjay and Mermaid, and everyone else! Sorry to not ever keep up with a full Curlyesque style of personals! Blush

Have come to sit in the garden while Summer and DH (after a week of lates) has a nap but the sun went in! Hmm Will prob go and peel veggies for sunday roast instead now! Wrote out Summers birthday invites earlier! Cant believe its just over 5wks away! Shock Sad Her latest exploits that make me melt, are walking holding my hands, Grin holding the phone to her ear (in a funny way with her elbow in the air) and babbling into it, Grin and waving and saying bye when her fave telly progs (Ben and Holly, Peppa pig et al) finish! Grin She also waves when im on the phone to someone and say goodbye too! Grin She is such a happy lil soul, its just lovely!

MummysLittleSunbeams · 17/04/2011 21:49

Monkey I'm not religious but when I went to bed I prayed really hard for you last night. I've done many many tests but have never had one with an inverted V. As others have said, the best one to get is First Response. With the babymad tests you really need A LOT of hcg to get a positive - First Response were always my hpt's of choice. Do you normally get af pains?

My girls are great thanks. Sadie cracks me up with the funny things she comes out with now & Kitty is such a Mummy's girl, she'd happily sit on my lap all day & I'd happily let her.

I'm going to say another prayer for you tonight & I'm going to carry on until you get a proper bfp.

monkeybumsmum · 17/04/2011 22:12

Oh MLS you've just made me get all teary Blush Thanks so much, you are just lovely! I normally get AF pains, but on around CD2/3 usually. It's all very odd! I'm so glad you said that about the babymad tests, I need a little bit of hope! I must say that today I have been jinxed as one of the babymad ones (yes, I did more than one Blush) had a bold pink line on it, but the rest of the white area stayed pink too Confused I've given up now, so will wait for Tuesday, and if it's a definate no then we'll just try again.

It's lovely to hear about your beautiful girls - you are so lucky to have them, but I'm sure you know that already Smile

We had a scare this evening - one of our dogs got out, and dh and I were driving round the countryside for an hour and a half before we found her. I was shaking by the time we got her home! I was so scared that we'd never see her again, the little monkey!
Best get off to bed now, love to all xxx

ps I'm now on hols for two weeks, so hope to be on MN lots, yay!! Smile
