jaggy can't believe you are letting work stop you - can't you just summons him in?!?! Grin

ochaye · 18/02/2011 16:22

jaggy and mrsden - can i join your symptom spotting club! I'm hoping to ov over the weekend although it might be early next week.

Welcome tunnocks. I love your name! I haven't looked at your chart yet but it sounds exciting. Will you really be able to wait for Sunday? What willpower! I'm impressed!

A girl i work with had her baby last night. Everyone was over the moon at work this morning. I'm so excited for her and the thought of her meeting her baby sent shivers through me (good ones!): wish it was me Sad.

weimy · 18/02/2011 17:45

Ochaye It doesn't get any easier does it.

Ok when do I poas? I am 9dpo I think my temps will dip tomorrow tho :(.

TerrysNo2 · 18/02/2011 19:23

weimy no point POAS yet, 10dpo is very very early and a BFP wouldn't be assured, I know its hard but come here and vent when you need too. FX for a temp hike tomorrow for you!

ochaye · 18/02/2011 19:29

I'll remind you of your wise words in 5 days time Terrys Grin ...

jaggythistle · 18/02/2011 20:46

i am totally enjoying not po any s, i can recommend it. :) didn't even bother with opks this time. just trying to watch cm, temps and trying cp checking. also lots of swi.

it was strangely more relaxing last cycle just waiting to see if temps dipped rather than poas from 9dpo onwards!

HPTs will be staying in the cupboard again until it makes sense to use one.

you may laugh if you see me crumble at viewed of the 2-(

jaggythistle · 18/02/2011 20:52

at the end of the 2wwnot at viewed whatever that means!

essenceofSES · 18/02/2011 21:16

jaggy - you must be superwoman! SWI on a daily basis and will power to resist PO various S!

Hope everyone is enjoying their Friday night and have lovely weekends planned!

Newgolddream · 18/02/2011 21:36

I had a positive opk today - first time ever for an internet cheapie as always tried to convince myself before the line was dark - but today it really was! So Im off to bed lolWink

jaggythistle · 18/02/2011 22:36

sorry i didn't reply there, was busy swi of course haha!

not super anyone, just got fed up of the waste of time BFNs and just got grumpy. also realised that the chart would give the same info, maybe a couple of days later! (and for free )

will probably not swi for a month now and DH will be v grumpy!

really hoping for a Bfp after lots of effort. :)

am also enjoying Tunnocks and ochaye's username the noo ;-)

ochaye i was greeting a bit the other day reading the texts that my friend and i exchanged a few hours after she met her DD. shivers indeed. i had my phone by my bed waiting for her news.Grin 5 months ago this was, i never get round to deleting messages Blush

jaggythistle · 18/02/2011 22:52

PS I saw a much more impressive swi effort on this thread once. I'm sure it seemed to go for about 10 days including twice some days Shock

jaggythistle · 19/02/2011 07:32

morning!

I'm in a good mood today. DS slept all night, yay! he's just had a feed and cuddled in quietly for a bit before looking for breakfast. think he might be teething again though.

also my temp is up. :)

Eek 2ww!

ochaye · 19/02/2011 08:20

Hi jaggy. Thought I'd join you! Glad you're in a good mood. So am i after reading your chit chat Grin.

I got a temp rise this morning too but had wine last night and a rubbish sleep because of the wind howling roun our house. Now i'll have to wait for tomorrow which might also be random as we're out for our anniversary tonight.

jaggythistle · 19/02/2011 09:08

being in a good mood does seem to have made me a a blether. Blush

i had a few glasses of wine last night too, i don't think enough to affect temps though.

jaggythistle · 19/02/2011 09:11

hope you have a nice night for your anniversary btw. :)

ochaye · 19/02/2011 09:47

Thanks jaggy ... just got a beautiful bunch of flowers. Am feeling very pleased with myself Smile.

Have a lovely day!

Truffkin · 19/02/2011 10:21

Morning ladies, good luck for the start of some new 2WWs! FF is predicting OV for me next Sunday and is usually pretty accurate so we'll be upping our efforts from Wednesday to Saturday Wink

Am having a lovely time catching up with my Mom this weekend as she has come to stay. DH is away on a stag do so we have lots of girlie stuff planned! She has told me some bad news about my sister who is in a bad way at the moment but didn't want to talk to me over the phone. I can't do much from here other than send her lots of love but am planning to go and see her next weekend.

Anyone who lives away from their family 'base' how hard is it when something happens and you aren't just there straight away? Feel a bit rubbish about it!

essenceofSES · 19/02/2011 10:22

ochaye - happy anniversary! Hope you have a lovely evening out with DH and yay for flowers!

jaggy - great to have a good night's sleep :)

I'm still perplexed by my ovulation. Day 2 of a peak on CBFM and ov pains so I think I'll probably be ovulating today - CD13 when I've not ovulated before CD18 in years!
Didn't manage any SWI last night as DH saw GP yesterday who has put him on ramipril for high blood pressure and asked him to see diabetes nurse as his blood sugar was high too. I think it will do both of us good to make a few lifestyle changes so we had a bit of a chat about that instead of SWI. Hopefully tonight and tomorrow night will be enough for this cycle Hmm

Sorry, am on phone and not sure how I managed to double post Blush

essenceofSES · 19/02/2011 10:24

Truffkin - sorry for xposts!
Hope you enjoy your time with your mum. Sorry for your sister's troubles. I'm lucky that most of my family are close by but all DH's are in Ireland so I know how hard the distance can be.

jaggythistle · 19/02/2011 10:49

truffkin sorry to hear about your sister. my family are only a few hours away, but i wish i could just pop round sometimes to be there for them. enjoy your weekend of girlie stuff :)

weimy · 19/02/2011 11:24

Happy Anniversay Ochaye, sorry things aren't going well for your sister Truffkin.

Well as expected my temps have started to dip :(. Feel really down this morning as I was secretly believing this was the month and that they would continue to rise. I also stupidly weighed myself and have put half a stone on. Feel fat and useless. I am going to be on and miserable whilst away at a conference that is always full of arguements and stress. Also just found out that my Mum is taking my younger Sister, her partner and their baby to florida in September, I know it is really petulant but I'm feeling very resentful of all the time that she spends with my sister when I have lived in my house 10 years and she has been to see me only 6 times. It feels as though I am not worth the effort because I don't have any children. To top it all off I am still waiting to find out if I am being made redundant, I am in teaching and I am really worried that they are going to leave it so late that I wont be able to get a job until after the October half term.

It's so frustrating and heartbreaking when you were so sure that you had done everything right :(

Sorry, felt like I might explode if I didn't get it off my chest.

Truffkin · 19/02/2011 12:44

Oh Weimy it's really hard when you are feeling down and see things that bother you all around. I sometimes feel a bit like this regarding my in laws, they live close to my husband's brother and his family and see them loads (they have 2 DCs and another due in June). We moved to London a few years ago and in spite of them having no financial or time reasons why they can't come to see us, have only been to our house once! We visit them fairly regularly (at least every month or so) and have invited them many times, even giving them a homemade voucher for a weekend to stay with us for the weekend as a Christmas present last year!

I do think that if we had children they would make more effort (and I suppose we would want to travel less) and it sometimes gets me down that their other son has 'provided' grandchildren when we can't seem to do that at the moment!

My Mom has been talking about my brother's baby (well his gf obv! she's 20 weeks) and how she can't wait for another little baby (my other nephews are 2 and 3) and I have been thinking how rubbish I am for not being able to contribute to the growing brood of grandchildren! She doesn't know we are TTC as we've kept it just between the 2 of us, which I'm glad about now as it would be horrible trying to explain why we are still not pregnant after all this time!

Still, I try not to wallow too much (ERTD time is tough though!) and focus on the positive things in our life. We have a lovely place to live, lots of great friends, brilliant relationships with our nephews and niece, great friends with a good social life and we do lots of fun stuff that we couldn't do with children (or would be different) so we have lots to be grateful for.

Have a few Wine today and make sure you get lots of hugs. Here's one to start you off (((Weimy))))

AuntieDoris · 19/02/2011 15:20

I'm back!! Had a couple of weepy days when AF arrived but have decided that I just have to get on with it. Also, have discussed with the DH and we are going to try a different tactic of SWI - going to try every 2 days once AF has disappeared and see if that works.

Oh Truffkin I know how hard it is when you live away from your family. I live in Leeds and all my family live in Guernsey. I sometimes feel disproportionately far away far them. We are hoping to move there in September although it is going to be a financially crippling move.
