Well here we are on volume 5!! Plenty of room for growing bumps and stashes of Thermometers and pee sticks!!

This thread WILL bring BFPs, everything crossed ladies apart from your legs!!

VintageNancy · 27/01/2011 20:52

hello! :) I just got a thermometer so I will start using it tomorrow (I'm mid-cycle but thought it was worth trying it out and then hit the next cycle knowing what I'm doing). It's possible I'll be back asking silly questions soon and sharing my chart. I've been stalking all you guys trying to get the hang of what it all means!

ravenlocks · 27/01/2011 20:55

Good to know conception can happen mouse but so sorry it wasn't a happy ending.

You are right ifatfirst it is worth a shot. I am just going to try and chill a bit about it, as getting pg 2 cycles in a row after nada for 9 months feels sooooo fecking unlikely. I can help feeling I am back at the start and will have another 9 months to wait before I get another BFP.

TerrysNo2 · 27/01/2011 21:03

Evening all

mouse I'm glad you are back home safe and well. Take care of yourself.

battery glad your scan went well, now lets get a little bean in there! Smile

kateepie welcome! Will stalk check out your chart later, quick post as cooking!

ifatfirst I didn't get PG on WTF cycle, hopefully WTF+1!! Smile My cycle was fairly normal but 5 days out for OV and total length (so LP stayed the same) but I was only 6 weeks gone and bled for 5 days like a normal period.

Hope everyone has a good evening, going to eat my roast duck now! :)

spilttheteaagain · 27/01/2011 21:29

Yum terrys sounds lovely Smile

Welcome nancy

mouse I'm so glad you're home safely. Now take your time and please don't feel obliged to be in work on Monday. Did the hospital do you a sick note? Be gentle with yourself xx

mousebacon · 27/01/2011 21:49

Hi spilt, hope you're well. Hospital didn't do me a note but seeing the gp tomorrow and reckon she'll do me one. Have also decided to get my thyroid function checked. It's something pro active I can do and I can't see her refusing. I might as well check eh? God I want a baby so badly! Sick of the sight of my hospital! xx

level · 27/01/2011 22:14

What is a WTF cycle?
I know what it stands for but I don't see what it means in this context.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 27/01/2011 22:22

level the WTF cycle is the one immediately after a mc, before you get your first proper af. It's referred to as the WTF cycle because your body's all over the place and there's no logic to when or whether you'll ov, or when af will appear!!

mousebacon · 27/01/2011 22:24

WTF is what the fuck cycle - the cycle straight after a mc where your body seems to do whatever it fancies x

level · 27/01/2011 22:29

Ohhh don't want one of those then!

essenceofSES · 27/01/2011 22:32

Hello all, just thought I'd check in otherwise I'll completely lose the thread of the thread IYKWIM!

Mouse - sorry I'd not read back over the thread much before joining yesterday so didn't realise you were having an ERPC today.
Having been there twice, I can understand a little of what you've been through. I agree there would be no harm in getting your thyroid tested. Good luck at the GP.

Terrys - hope you enjoyed your duck!

Ravenlocks - I got pg in my first WTF cycle but then had another mmc, left it a month and then got pg with DS the following cycle. Many people think that a woman is more fertile the first couple of cycles after mc.

Nancy - welcome :)

Kateepie - hello again :)

battery - sounds like your scan went well!

Right, I must go to bed as I'll fall asleep on the sofa otherwise!

kateepie2 · 28/01/2011 08:23

Morning!

Sounds like you've all been busy, I just crashed out on the sofa and ate pizza all evening.

Temps up again this morning, is that normal? As this is my first attempt at charting I'm still working out my pattern, but the charts I've looked at don't seem to keep going up! Hope I'm not doing anything wrong.

Chart is here if anyone wants a gander.

I shall be stalking all your charts Grin

Kateepie x

Iwish · 28/01/2011 09:47

Morning all! Happy Friday!

Kat I think your chart looks fab :)

Well I decided to try the cb digital this morning and got a bfp, said 'pregnant 1-2' woohoo! Now I'm excited Grin

Thanks iwish and congratulations! Envy as hell, but so pleased for you Grin good luck at the docs!

xx

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 28/01/2011 09:57

Awww Iwish how wonderful. I hope your pg is smooth and uneventful. Enjoy it and indulge - you'll never get another one as restful! Am, obviously, quite Envy though.

I am 4dpo, not much to report but a question occurred to me.
If sperm has met egg, then until implantation there will be no pg signs, correct?
So any signs like tender breasts etc will be purely to do with normal LP stuff. It's only once about 7-10dpo that pg signs kick in?

at work so can't name check but am chart stalking.

kateepie2 · 28/01/2011 10:03

mrsa I read somewhere that if the egg is fertilised then there is some signal made to the body/hormones before implantation takes place. So could get some symptoms. I'm guessing most of it is just prog. related and so normal LP. Doesn't stop me analysing every last twinge tho!. Am also confused as I was on pill for 10 years, before that I never got PMS, sore boobs or anything. Since TTC I have had it bang after ov, every time. Grrr.

kateepie2 · 28/01/2011 10:04

PS also 4dpo Smile

jaggythistle · 28/01/2011 10:21

7dpo now. still feeling good about no early testing this time. lp has been 12 days last 2 cycles i think. going to be a long 5 days or so!

chart

kateepie2 · 28/01/2011 10:26

keep sitting on your hands jaggy! 10 days to go for me... can feel it stretching out, like years, lol Wink

Iwish · 28/01/2011 10:45

Thanks Kat I'm scared to death going to the docs lol. Feels a bit wierd saying I'm pregnant.

thanks mrsa I hope it goes well too lol. I'll be stalking you next week if that's ok.

I shall be stalking Kat and jaggy too.

Can I just tell you that I'm sooo scared of telling my mum and dad. Well mostly my dad...

OP posts:
MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 28/01/2011 10:47

Why so worried Iwish and you don't have to tell anyone else till 12 week scan.

jaggythistle · 28/01/2011 10:48

sorry for short posts, on phone and at work! Blush

kateepie2 · 28/01/2011 10:51

iwish for what its worth, I will be in the same boat with my folks - DP's will be deliriously happy, mine, not so sure. But, I'm a big girl now! Don't worry about the docs, thats what they are there for! xx

Iwish · 28/01/2011 10:58

mrsa just a bit scared as I have an underactive thyroid so just don't know what the docs will say. Im sure it will be fine and it's just me being a wuss :) I'd like to tell my parents and DPs parents but no one else will know.

Kat my DPs mum n dad will be thrilled and I'm sure mind will but feels a bit weird my dad knowing, he still thinks I'm his little girl.

Xx

mrsden · 28/01/2011 11:02

Woo hoo Iwish Congratulations again Smile

mouse I am so sorry you are having to go through this. Remember we are all here to support you.

I am 10dpo, I think AF should be due on Tues. I have no symptoms so not feeling very hopeful but my temp is still up. my chart

jaggythistle · 28/01/2011 11:17

Iwish My Dad cried when I told him cos he was so happy! Hope you get on ok.

We hadn't told them we were TTC so it was a bit of a shock for all the parents. My FIL said 'Who's a clever girl' Hmm My Mum said ' I assume this was planned' Shock (we'd been married over a year and together for yonks so you'd think so)

So prepare for strange reactions if it's a big surprise!
