How long did it take for DC1 if you don't mind me asking arabella? And what cycle are you on now?
I just assumed it would be quick as I'm still quite young, never thought I'd see myself on cycle6!

Hi Iwish, I was lucky enough first time round. It was the first cycle of trying. And this is the first cycle for TTC2 but I'm 34 so I know it won't necessarily go easily. Lots of people conceive easily first time and take 2 years or more next time.

Are you using opks or temping?

This time using CBFM. Last time just used OPK to make sure we weren't missing out on the vital few days.

What are your cycles like Iwish?

My cycles are a bit weird. They have been different lengths. The last ones have been 27, 25, 26, 32, 27. The last one I used opks from cd10-cd17 and my chart shows I ov'd on cd16. So I have no idea what will happen on this cycle. Are yours usually the same or random like mine?
How strange is it that we spend most of our lives avoiding pregnancy and when you want to get pg its so much harder than just DTD!

thanks iwish. Im mega confussed with all the ttc info to be honest. I got pg the 2nd month of us trying after our wedding, at that point i wasnt even thinking about when i ov,d ect, unfortuantly i did go onto miscarry at 8 weeks but didnt mc till i was 14 weeks all very sad.
My last period was the 21st dec, my cycles are 28 days bang on, i ov,d last month at 5th,6th of dec which was day 12 and 13 which is the next two days... I did get a strong line on the 5 and a faint one on the 6th so maybe we just missed it, not sure what happened really....
Now were having s.e.x everyday of my fertile window just to makesure we dont miss it...
Excuse tmi but had some excess fluid today and some tummy pains so do think im ready to ov soon....

You are lucky to have a regular cycle, wish mine was so regular! I expect I will ov somewhere between cd14 and cd20 haha sounds ridiculous the difference.

How is your DP/DH with ttc? Does he get really involved or just SWI when told hehe.

meant to add, had my mmc sept22nd, couldnt start trying till dec as had to have my mmr vacinnation as found i was none immune during pg. So this is my second cycle of ttc, its so all very frustrating, been with my hubby for 15 yrs got married this yr and have now decided to try, now were ready seems life is putting stummbeling blocks in our way! All i want is a child, is that so much to ask...

he seems pretty on board with it all, we brought some pre-seed and his happy to do what his told especially if it means he gets to have hhis wicked way!!! His a dirty boy at heart...

It is so confusing ttc but I will help you (with my little knowledge lol) if you need it. I think that when you get your strongest line you generally ov 12-46 hours after so maybe keep SWI the day you get the lines and a few days after just to be on the safe side. I ov the day after I get my lines.
Was the fluid clear and stretchy? That is the most fertile cm. I seem to get some watery cm about 4/5 days before ov then for the 2/3 days before and including day of ov I get clear stretchy cm.

Hi everyone [waves]! I was joggin alongside but now have bum firmly on seat as AF visited me on Wed (have been away since then). Was irrationally upset about not being pg and also discovered that it turns out I do get PMT when not on the pill... poor DH...

Hence feeling stupid for getting upset as only on cycle 2! That was first cycle after coming off the pill so will see if next one is the same length...

I need help and advice if anyone could assist?! I have no idea, other than increasing SWI to every couple of days around the middle of my cycle, of how to increase my chances of getting pg. I am sadly ignorant of temps, ovulation, and various tests, other than looking out for EWCM (and even then not entirely sure if it signals beginning, middle or end of OV!). Would greatly appreciate some tips to make head or tail of it all as feeling rather stupid at the moment

thanks i wish, excuse tmi, its gone from creamy to slightly egg white, stretchy today so i think day 12,13 maybe the days!! Im using to ov sticks aday at the moment its a good job there just amazon cheapies...

Iwish, frustrated is what id describe how im feeling at the moment!! Some people only have to look at dick and there pg!! Sorry for being crude, but you get the drift! Lol

Hi mrsS welcome! Sorry af got you. Af got me yesterday so I am now on cycle 6. I totally understand being upset, I cried uncontrollably yesterday when af arrived.

Well... Where to start... I think usually assuming you have a 14 day luteal phase (the time after OV to the day before next af) you would OV on cd16. But that can vary. For example last cycle I ov'd on cd16 but only had a 11day LP so my cycle was 27 days.
You could either just go for the natural approach and try SWI every other day from before expected OV to a few days after expected OV and see where that gets you? Or you could buy some ovulation sticks. You can get like 50 for about £8 on eBay and do them from maybe cd12 and when you get a positive you usually OV 12-48 hours after.

I'll back up the frustrated feeling, AF should be here on the 4/1 (provided i have a 28 day cyclie, they are all over place) but i have had no PM symptoms, like none at all, last cycle length was 28 days but i had PM symptoms for a week before. I have had no mood swings, no PMT, no cramps etc. All i can think about is what if, what if, what if and it is driving me INSANE.

Hi mrsb woohoo yep get SWI now! The eggwhile cm helps the little swimmers up to the egg and provides nourishment for them.
SWI means Shagging with intent - love that phrase!
I only use cheapies from eBay so 2 a day for me too :).

weve SWI twice already today, my dh has just popped upstairs (where ive been recovering from last nights drinking, all day) and asked if i want to do it again!!?? His more obsessed then me!!! Like i said b4 his a dirty boy!!!

I haven't tested yet, i am going to wait until the 4/5th to test, i just feel like i will jinx it if i test too early and i don't wanna do that, not long to go i suppose the only problem is i am on 3 days off after tonight so the thought is just going to consume me for them!
