goingmadtrying · 31/01/2011 14:42

and to you mrshedgehog havent seen many people trying for #3. good luck to you :)

kateepie2 · 31/01/2011 14:48

Hi goingmad this is my third cycle, ttc numero uno. Apart from a few weird days just after I ovd I have had far fewer 'symptoms' than I had last two months, so hoping for the best!

xx

goingmadtrying · 31/01/2011 14:53

kateepie big fingers crossed for you for this month then :) when are you due to test?

kateepie2 · 31/01/2011 15:00

er, discounting mad testing today goingmad, 5 days time would probably be more realistic (AF due around the 7th-9th)... in all probability, every day from about wednesday, ahem.

Good luck to you too! Smile

Thinking11 · 31/01/2011 17:59

How am I going to last the wait? I carried out my first home artificial imsemination on Saturday TTC#1.

Im not 100% sure of my dates due to confusing OPK but i have ordered a clearblue monitor for next month.

The sensible me os telling me that I can't be pregnant first time with a new donor, only 1 attempt this month and with unclear dates but then my irational me is thinking What If????

Arghhhh this is going to be a long 2 weeks!!!!

Karbea · 31/01/2011 18:55

Last month by now, I had enlarged heavy painful boobies - this month nothing! grr!

as you were... Smile

Thinking11 · 31/01/2011 19:04

I have promised myself that I am not going to start imagining i have every sympton under the sun. Last time I was TTC I convinced myself every month and I've never got my BFP

goingmadtrying · 31/01/2011 19:08

I promised myself I wouldn't lose the plot but this ttc seems to make it happen arrrghh good luck to everyone waiting to test :)

Karbea · 31/01/2011 19:09

I think you just notice them because you are aware, but my boobs seriously doubled in size! haha! I had slight pain when I ov'd this month, i've noticed it before (before TTC) but never really paid any attention to it) whereas this month I went and pee'd on OPK...
Oh well nothing to imagine this month, I feel totally normal! Sad

Thinking11 · 31/01/2011 19:14

Does anyone know anything about the clearblue fertility monitor. I only going to get 2 or 3 donations a month so i need to make sure my dates are bang on

kat2504 · 31/01/2011 19:16

the cbfm is quite good but obviously quite expensive. It identifies the high days before ovulation. If you can only get two a month might be better to use ovulation tests. However, the cbfm would give you a few days advance warning of the best days. Depends how regular your cycle is. Also in the first two months it gave me too many high days to be very useful.

Could someone please remove me from the bus as I am now moving on to the next transport service!

Thinking11 · 31/01/2011 19:29

I tend to be very regular 25 days with OV around day 15 although recent OPK have been fading all over the place.

I ordered the cbfm and hoping it'll help me get a more accurate reading. I think my donor would be happy to donate 3 or 4 times a month max.

Fingers crossed the first time was enough and I am worrying over nothing but i very much doubt it

sevendwarves · 31/01/2011 19:32

Hi goingmad and mrshedgehog

I'm always surprised on MN at the amount of people that think 3 children is a lot. I'm one of 3, my two best friends are both one of 3 and my DB has 3, so 2 or 3 have both always seemed like normal numbers to me. I've always said I'd like at least 2, always thought I'd have 2 then see if the urge was there to have any more, although we've just bought a 4-bedroom house! I think 4 is a lot though!

sevendwarves · 31/01/2011 19:33

thinking if it makes you feel any better DH and I only managed it once during my fertile days this cycle.

Thinking11 · 31/01/2011 19:42

it does make me feel better thanks sevendwarves, i just fear that because im doing AI with donor sperm its going to take months and months.

Its taken me years to finally make the decesion to do this and I dont want to wait months and months now.

sevendwarves · 31/01/2011 20:14

thinking thats the trouble though isn't it? Once you decide you seriously want a baby, you WANT a baby, not in 9 months plus however long it takes to conceive!

I know you probably don't get as many possible chances with a donor but general advice is to have sex every other day when ttc, which is only 3-4 times during the fertile phase anyway.

Also if we're unlucky this month, I've worked out I should be most fertile from 14-18 Feb. We're moving on the 16th so probably won't get much chance next month either!

queenrollo · 31/01/2011 20:20

I haven't been around for a while. Really not been thinking about TTC this cycle. Pretty sure i ov'd last friday but only SWI 2 days before and yesterday so not holding out much hope here for a BFP. Will be just my luck to get a BFP this time and spend my wedding day fighting morning sicknessGrin

sevendwarves · 31/01/2011 20:50

When's your wedding queenrollo?

I'm a bridesmaid for my friend in June, so may well be a 5-month pregnant bridesmaid!

queenrollo · 31/01/2011 21:27

26th of Feb Smile and my dress it fitted so if i am pregnant I hope i don't bloat too much in the early weeks!

sevendwarves · 31/01/2011 23:08

Ooh that's getting close! Hope you have a great day!

goingmadtrying · 01/02/2011 07:34

Well definately feel like the dreaded AF is on it's way although no sign just yet, feeling really dispondant today :(

goingmadtrying · 01/02/2011 07:36

Good luck with your wedding queenrollo, I got married in July it was fantastic, have lots of fun :)

ellangirl · 01/02/2011 07:39

I've got a bfn this morning at 13dpo, 2 days before af due so it looks like i'm out. So disappointed because it means it's nearly a year. DS took a year and a half- gave up trying properly with him in the end and got pregnant, but it seems harder this time because we already have a baby so we know it must be possible! DH has strong views about not wanting to see a doctor so we'll just have to carry on as we are...
