Well I got my positive OPK today, so disproportionately excited (probably because I got to make two lines on a test for the first blimmin time)

So, with doing that and charting my temps I do feel like I am taking control of things. But.... 10 Feb (when AF due) seems like aeons away. How will I ever face the wait? This month seems to have gone so slowly compared to my last two cycles!

Turns out most of my symptoms might be due to the fact that I have tonsilitis - just confirmed at docs this morning and now have 7 days of antibiotics! But...still no sign of AF and on CD33 of UCL30 at the moment! Going to try and wait until weds before I test again as am reasonably convinced my being ill is casuing the delay ...all rather frustrating!!

kateepie2 I know what you mean about the excitement - in fact I had the opposite when I only got a control line on all my POKs last month (don't think they were very effective tbh, I know I ovulated). Hope it's a lucky month for you!

Congrats to the BFPs, :( to those whos evil witch arrived, keep on SWI to those chasing the egg and good luck to those in the 2ww. Sorry I can't remember who wanted to know but you could try temping, it'll confirm you have ov'd but only after 3 higher temps. I use Fertility Friend, its quite good for recording everything, you can record opks and SWI etc. i just put my temp in every day and it does everything for me and i only use the free membership, didnt fancy paying the extra. heres my chart so you can have a nosey. chart If you go through my chart and go up to the top theres a join free tab if you did fancy joining :)

Hi all, well AF due tomorrow so just POAS and get a very faint vertical line on a clearblue+ stick...

Does that mean its positive??!! Or shall I wait and do another one in a few days if AF still not here?

oooh hils sounding good!!! I believe that... a line is a line!! I would still do another test in a couple of days...apparently the PG hormone level doubles every 48 hours so you should get a stronger reading then!

hey hils I think I would indulge myself a little cautious excitement in your position...and keep testing . Others on this thread had feint BFP's before AF due and just kept on testing over the subsequent days and saw the lines get stronger! Have you told DH yet?

Yes he was there when I checked, I think he's a bit bemused by it all!!

oooh Hils a line is a line. Try again tomorrow or Wednesday with FMU and hopefully it'll be a nice dark line :)

H Hils sorry, it means first morning urine. its more concentrated so you have more chance of a BFP :)

Brilliant news hils, a line is a line, although when I got pregnant with DS I got 3 BFP's and still didn't believe it, so I can understand you not wanting to get too excited yet!

thanks seven have spent the day lying on the sofa watching a dvd box set DH bought me for Christmas...was wondering when I'd get the chance to watch it hee hee maybe tonsilitis does have a plus side ! Might POAS again in the morning though I really should wait another day...still no sign of AF...now is it PG or tonsilitis causing the no show?!?!

blue are you testing again this am? I've had some of your symptoms so keep checking here for your result

mmm...being the impatient person that I am I decided to test again this morning even though I should've waited...BFN ...starting to feel pretty fed up now! AF never this late even when I've been ill before. Do you think it's worth me trying a different brand? been using clearblue and clearblue+ so far?? Might just be me clutching at straws thinking that might come up with a different result! Was SO convinced last night that this morning would give a BFP as the right hand side of my back was killing and had a weird taste in my mouth too but alas the waiting for AF continues! Now CD34 of UCL30!!

Hi all and congratulations all you ladies with BFPs. I've not been on for a while as enduring the 2ww, but it's approaching testing time and I'm not sure when exactly to test. I think I'm day 12 po and was thinking of testing tomorrow, but if it's BFN I'll be frustrated, so wondering if I can hold on to the weekend! The other day I had an inkling I might be pg due to cramps (but no af) and really sore boobs. I remember these symptoms from when I was pg with DD, but I guess they are similar to af symptoms, so will have to wait and see!

Blue, I think if I were you I would try to wait a day or two longer. Let's hope you ARE pg and it's not just the tonsilitis - take it easy and get well soon.

Thanks seven am going a little insane here yes! This is only my second cycle post pill but I used to be v regular pre-pill so difficult to say! Just have to wait and see!

It's going to be another busy testing weekend on this thread I can see!!
