new know how you feel, my cycles changed every month so now first since mc no idea where i am, and am a bit concerned but will see what happens. Have you tried working it out without ff??

i tend to just use my diary as to when my af's start. and have used baby hopes ov calendar to predict dates. as i've said before i used longest and shortest cycles and plan to dtd every 2 days over the period.

When would you expect af to start??

Newgolddream · 12/01/2011 22:07

Sorry to hear about your mc, had you been ttc long before that?

Im not obsessive by temping (yet!) its just Im 40, work ful time and would probably kill myself dtd all over the place lol so I need a bit of help!,

And with OV generally being around CD10-12, my plan was like yours - DTD every 2 days, so I DTD on CD 8 this month -- exactly when temps rose, so may have caught it.

If my cycle is 24 days this month AF will be due tomorrow but if it goes to my highest 28 days, not till Monday.

Just dont get this long LP thing, unless of course I didnt ov on CD 8 at all.

InnocentRedhead · 13/01/2011 06:31

Morning everyone, Just a quick check in to see how everyone is doing? I am so glad i'm normal lol!

Chilled out a bit now, not really in a 2ww or anything just next step is to start using ov stick!

GOOD LUCK TO YOSHIMI - may be getting our first BFP on the bus.
Anyone heard from Tallie, she's at the top of the list and haven't heard if AF arrived for her?

I've decided i am not gonna chart this month but will use Ov sticks and just know all my dates, next month will be a diff story, gonna start temping, charting, the lot!

JustShaggingForNow · 13/01/2011 07:59

hi cep

Thanks for the welcome. The holidays are a ski trip in March (when if I got a BFP then I would be 10 weeks) and a 2.5 week trip to India in April/May (17-19 weeks) so I am a bit concerned. Think a ski trip may be a bit unwise and the India trip would be quite stressful as I'm sure DH would be constantly worrying that something would go wrong!!!!

I'm also running my 1st half marathon at the start of March......

don't think the timing could be worse!! AF due on 21 Jan so still another week to go before I can test!

JustShaggingForNow · 13/01/2011 08:01

cep - sorry to hear about your mc.

Newgolddream · 13/01/2011 09:36

Morning everyone - guess who had visited when I got up this morning? Gutted. But first day is always the worst, onwards and upwards now! Because of my short cycles im still here to. That makes another 24 day cycle but since FF said I ov on CD 8 a LP of 16 days, doesnt seem normal for me. Any suggestions, do you think its all right or im wondering if something is wrong because I was under the impression your LP length was fairly consistent between cycles?

Hi there justshaggingfornow

Morning innocentredhead, im off to buy opks now since im back at the start. Quick question, im new here, do I change my position on the stats list, confused what to do lol.

sevendwarves · 13/01/2011 10:11

Hi to all of the new ladies.

newgolddream just remember it's not over until AF arrives!

yoshimi have you tested yet?

sevendwarves · 13/01/2011 10:14

Sorry newgolddream, that'll teach me not to refresh! I think the dates on the stats are a bit muddled anyway so I wouldn't worry about moving yourself but just update yours.

hiddenme · 13/01/2011 10:16

justshagging Not great timing, but I find these things are typical.
I came off the pill when ttc DC2 5 months before our wedding as it took 11 months to ttc Dc1. Typically, I fell pregnant straight away and was 22 weeks pregnant when we got married

Bumpsadaisie · 13/01/2011 10:59

Hi there, could I join off the September bus?

Bumpsadaisie, TTC#2, Cycle 2 ,UCL 29-31, CD 3 at the moment.

Last month was our first month of trying and it was quite wierd, period was 8 days late (AF is just leaving today).

Thinking of using OPKs again this month. Do you think I should just assume that this month my cycle will be 29-31 days as usual and start using OPKs about day 13?

Cheers
Bumps x

arabella36 · 13/01/2011 11:15

Sorry AF arrived newgold.

Hello to everyone else on here this morning.

bumps - hello and welcome. I'm not sure which day you should start POAS, I would tend to start a little earlier on the off-chance that it was a slightly shorter cycle that month. Others may have different advice though.

I'm 3-4 DPO and I feel suspicious that I might be pregnant. I've had a little nausea, a lot of tiredness and a dull ache reminiscent of mild period pains since yesterday. If it turns out that I'm not then I'll know next month not to read too much into these symptoms next time! It seems unlikely I'd have any symptoms so early.

Newgolddream · 13/01/2011 11:51

sevendwarves and arabella36 - thank you! As I said AF day is always the worst eh..... Anyway I will keep my fingers crossed for you, will update my stats to later when I get home from work on the pc, im on my phone just now.

Hi and welcome bumps, not sure about opks as you are on early cycles, im quite irregular but now im on my 7th cycle ttc I can start to know when to start. Do you know. How long your LP is?

PrincessScrumpy · 13/01/2011 12:04

cep: hotel's in Stratford Upon Avon area and DH will play golf while I have a spa treatment. Sounds lovely - think golf may be his motive as he rarely gets to play these days, but I'm happy to pretend it's all for me! Grin

PrincessScrumpy · 13/01/2011 12:57

Oooops, looks like I need to jump off. Turns out the spotting I had on Tuesday and Wednesday weren't a period. Just checked my dates and I was due on Tuesday, so I've done a test and it's positive.

Now, if only dh would get out of his bloody meeting so I can tell him! 1st time round I was more patient and felt it important we were together - now I'm just glad to go to the loo without dd coming too! Grin

Good luck to everyone else. Lots of love xx

Karbea · 13/01/2011 13:18

This will be our second month of trying for our first baby, ave cycle length 24days.

Good to meet you all, and hello again to those who fell off Sept bus before me! xx

congratulations shoopshoop!

cep · 13/01/2011 14:37

hi all. Thanks new and JSFN i'd come off the pill the previous december, but didn't really start trying properly till a couple of months after that.

princess congratulations. will make trip away even nicer.

new am sorry af is visiting. try to think of it as another stat to help working the dates out. can you tell me what date your last af started i just want to try something.

welcome bumps i agree with arabella i would definately start a little early.

welcome karbea

shoopshoop i havent't used superdrug, but did use tesco cheapy previously when that gave a faint positive i got the clear blue digital test as that is clearer by giving dates. a bit expensive but that's why i used it to confirm.

ShoopShoop · 13/01/2011 14:41

Thanks arabella although I really don't know whether to believe it yet. Just phoned MrShoop (I know I shouldn't have but never mind) and was a gibbering wreck. His advice was to buy every type of test on my way home and do them all this evening. I think he's just as disbelieving as me!! Hmm

ShoopShoop · 13/01/2011 14:42

Thanks cep....good idea. I'll give it a go and report back this evening / tomorrow Smile xxx

cep · 13/01/2011 15:14

good luck Grin

xstitch · 13/01/2011 16:03

Congrats Princess, sounds promising shoopshoop :). Are these the first positives?

Just remembered I forgot to poas for the OPK earlier oops Blush
