Hi Raven - I empathise, it's so hard. A best friend recently told me she MC and it has totally devastated her. I eventually tried to focus on the positive side with her(if there is one! huh), in that she knows everything works when she's ready to try again. I have no idea if I helped her at all. I think the only thing you can do is let her know that you'll be there if she wants to talk.Sad

GetDownYouWillFall · 29/11/2010 20:11

queenrollo sorry your DP been annoying and let the water out. Grr. You should definitely have had a bath first - boy's bath water - ewwwww! Hope you are cosy and relaxing now.

Sorry to hear about your colleague raven it's awful and I don't think there is any "right" thing to say. Some people would probably be grateful for it not being mentioned, some would likely feel hurt and ignored by that. So it's very difficult. Maybe just acknowledge it and just be sensitive to her reaction. How sad though Sad
I can't imagine getting to 9 weeks only for it then to all go wrong.

MrsP81 · 29/11/2010 21:18

I would agree that its hard to know what to say. I think just letting her know that you're there if she wants to talk about it. Sad

Please can somebody pass that wet fish this way? I was also planning the telling of the parents at Xmas when I hadn't yet ovulated! Blush I think that I have now (at long last), so in the 2ww.

Sorry to see quite a few ladies off to the next bus.

sillybillymummy · 29/11/2010 22:47

hello Ladies...
I am playing a little game, to help me not to test for a few days - if one of the kids are up and being 'demanding' first thing in the morning, i'm not testing because they would ask what i was doing, and i can't hold on to my first wee long enough to get the sorted, before i test! So... tomorrow morning, if i do my first wee on my own, i will test.. and so on - oh dear , what has become of me!!

100years · 30/11/2010 07:35

Morning all.

Please can someone update my stats to show me leaving the bus :( AF is here again. On my phone in bed so can't update it. Hope we do get some BFPs soon the bus is due some.

I'll check in again in a bit, lurgied and period pains do not make me want to face the world.

sorry to hear about the AF arriving 100 years
sorry as well to hear about your colleague raven, thats sad news. I'd just be as sympathetic as you can and be there to listen if she does want to talk about it.

i'm on the 2ww now as well. Its odd as last month I was utterly convinced I was pg. Had all the symptoms and even when I tested and it was BFN I thought to myself 'how can a test not pick up on it when the symptoms are so strong, they really need to design better tests!' and was a real surprise when AF turned up.
This month have done all the SWI at the right time and have no hopeful feeling at all about it. I feel convinced that this is not my month again.

Perhaps I am wrong seeing as I was last month but its such a strong feeling! very strange

GetDownYouWillFall · 30/11/2010 12:54

Aww 100years so sorry to hear that you are ill in bed, and with AF too Sad That's rotten. Hope next month is your month.

glad to hear you are now on the 2ww fel1x - it's horrible when you think you have symptoms and then get a BFN. Leaves you very confused Confused Hope this next 2 weeks goes quickly for you.

Just checking in. Am 12DPO prob going to test on thursday if AF doesn't arrive.

queenrollo · 30/11/2010 13:06

sorry AF got you 100years

where's that wet fish gone? about an hour ago i started with an ache, the kind i get the day before AF shows up. This of course is a sign that i'm pregnant Hmm i will cry if AF shows up tomorrow as that will be from one extreme to the other with my cycles........

Feeling tearful too, have been let down by friends and feeling very emotional about it.

This afternoon I am going to distract myself with Christmas music while i make the Christmas cake.

RugbyWidow7 · 30/11/2010 13:27

ooh that sounds like a good plan queenrollo - distraction is the way forward.

Ruddy 2ww!! Distraction, distraction, distraction. Being stranded by the snow doesn't help matters much.

Sorry to hear about your friends, it's so awful when that happens, esp. if you're feeling a bit sensitive (most of the time for me!)

Hope the baking helps Bear

mrsden · 30/11/2010 13:43

Sorry AF got you 100years and that you're feeling poorly on top of thatSad

Christmas music and baking sound like good distraction techniques queenrollo

AF is due on Saturday but I had a tiny amount (just a spot really) of light brownish discharge when I wiped (sorry TMI). So now I'm convinced AF is going to show up soon. And I have a sort of dull period like ache in my tummy. I am going to be so fed up when AF arrives, we really tried so hard this month. I even forced myself to drink grapefruit juice. I know this is only our 5th cycle but it feels like forever and I am getting so inpatient. Both my sisters got pregnant straight away, and friends are always telling me how it easy it was for them.

Is anyone testing soon? Surely there must be some BFP's due for this bus?

ravenlocks · 30/11/2010 14:14

Thanks for the advice guys. Still so sad for her.

Sorry to see AF got you 100years, you were the OP too! Keep checking in with us tho.

Poor you also queen and your RL friends, anything we (virtual bus friends!) can do to help?

Tee hee sillybilly

We do need some BFPs! My money is on whywait next and her late AF. Any update whywait?

GetDownYouWillFall · 30/11/2010 14:20

WhyWait already got her AF and has moved onto the Sep bus I think.

queenrollo · 30/11/2010 14:37

ravenlocks the great thing about my virtual friends is they never let me down!

I told them to keep some dates free for the wedding(to make sure they would be free as we intended to ask them to be our witnesses), they forgot and booked a holiday(in the 10 days between me telling them and our appt with the registrar).....which of course turned out to be the weekend we've booked the wedding for. Angry

still haven't got near the kitchen. Hormones must be going crazy as i keep crying and i just want to get under a blanket on the sofa and watch soppy films.

Teds77 · 30/11/2010 15:08

Oh queen that's rubbish - do hope it gets sorted out.

I got married in heavy snow so the blizzard outside is reminding me of what a fab day it was Smile and am convinced that your day will be awesome too Grin

Just trying to catch up on what's happening and bit Sad that so there are so many AFs or BFNs.

What's the latest testing news from Klou and myweeangel or I have missed that? And the others at the front of the bus? And fingers crossed for GetDown and sillybilly and those resisting testing today! MrsDen hope it's not the start of AF. I'm just starting cycle 5 and agree that it feels like forever especially when it seems so easy for so many friends. I know that it isn't really that long but like you am so impatient!

raven glad you seem a bit more positive. You didn't need to get the zinc, TCOYF, OPKs etc. as obviously I've already filled the back seat with these goodies Blush also strictly no drinking or caffeine just plenty of pumpkin seeds.. oh yes, I am going all out this month...

Teds77 · 30/11/2010 15:15

Oh and very sad about your colleague's mc news raven and really ditto to what others have said. My cousin mc at 10 weeks, she didn't want to talk about it so the best I could do was a big hug. If it was me I don't think I'd want to dwell on it but I always appreciate kindness/support/thoughfulness of those around me.

100years · 30/11/2010 15:44

Thanks for all the well wishes everyone.

Have managed a bath and got dressed!!! It's progress.

I'm kind of thinking of next month and I'm not sure I'm going to get on the September bus, we will be trying, but I kind of feel a little like I want to hide away from the world re the TTC and try not to think of it too much, got a bit stressy about it this month, and think if I'm like this on the first month what the hell am I going to be like when it takes x months. I want to keep my sanity, and I've not done too good a job of that this month. That doesn't mean I haven't enjoyed the bus experience I just kind of want to try and put it a bit more to the back of my mind.

This may all change in a day or two when I'm less lurgified and feeling better in myself!

OP posts:
Teds77 · 30/11/2010 15:54

100years sorry about AF getting you Sad but glad you managed a bath!

I was really down last month when AF came and took a few weeks before I ventured onto this bus. I think there are days when only a kiss from DH or a cuddle from my cats can cheer me up but there are days when it's nice to share the agony of the 2ww with MNers.

Hope you stay positive, the lurgy disappears and a BFP is just round the corner xx

myweeangel · 30/11/2010 15:55

Well Teds I have tested this morning again (convinced that I'm now close enough to when AF is due!) and BFN. :(
Despite racking brains cannot remember when AF is so still hopeful, maybe being silly hanging on to some hope but we'll see.
Thing is, no BFP, but no AF either!!
MrsP81 - thought I could write our names "and Bump" on Christmas cards... Blush

mslk · 30/11/2010 16:27

Sorry to those that AF has caught. Hope the lurgy doesn?t last long 100 years not good to have it all happen together

Klou & Myweeangel hoping you still get BFP

So sad about your colleague Raven

Sorry about your friends queenrollo. Hugs to everyone that needs them.

GetDownYouWillFall · 30/11/2010 17:06

mslk have you tested yet?

kat2504 · 30/11/2010 17:13

Also did test, AF due in three days, most tests say you can use them 4 days early. Also BFN :( Really hoped this would be my month. Not over till AF arrives but no symptoms so not optimistic. Guess I will see some of you on the next bus, but still fingers crossed for better luck for the remaining passengers!
On the bright side, no sober Christmas for me this year :)

sillybillymummy · 30/11/2010 17:17

Well i didn't resist BFN - and i've just got a visit from AF
Gutted.
100years i know what you mean about facing the world. I didn't even take my DS to preschool today, we live up a hill in the middle of no where (roads are not gritted) and i could have got there.. but he wanted to stay home and i have just been in my tracksuit all day.

GetDownYouWillFall · 30/11/2010 17:18

Ah kat don't give up yet. The stats are based on the day AFTER your AF is due I think, so you are actually testing 4 days early. And the percentage of false negatives at 4 days early is high.

Don't want to raise your hopes unduly, just saying don't give up all hope yet!!

sillybillymummy · 30/11/2010 17:18

kat2504 its not over until the bi@tch AF turns up. But if she does, then see you on the next bus!
