QOTCW are you going to test again? I always find Asda's cheapies give me positives quiet early last time it was only 9 DPO!

Button I hope everything works out for you and your DH.

My AF is due on the day of my bro's surprise party! If i get a positive don't know how I'll feel, bittersweet comes to mind!!. I am not a huge drinker anyway so it won't seem unusual if i am not drinking. But on the other hand if its negitive i won't be in the mood for celebrating. Starting to lose faith a bit. Hope everyones dreams come true this month x

queenofthecapitalwasteland · 17/11/2010 08:53

CMD83 I'm very tempted to test again, when I got PG earlier this year first test (early) was BFN and the second one was BFP, but that was on the day AF was due. Hoping you get a good result this month Smile

GetDownYouWillFall · 17/11/2010 13:23

buttonmoon so sorry you are having to think about contraception again that must be so disappointing Sad Hope your DH finds other work soon and you will be back with us again.

Hope you still get that BFP QOTCW Smile

I had a positive OPK yesterday for the first time ever, so was quite excited about that. I'm going to do another one today at about 2 so we'll see what that one says too.

Feels a bit achey today, but it's more in the middle than on either side so don't think it can be ov. pain can it? Confused

100years · 17/11/2010 13:44

Button, sorry to hear you are thinking of contraception again.

QOTCW yeah keep testing, hope it comes BFP and not AF arriving.

My temp was well up this morning, but it's been up and down for days, but has never been this high so I reckon it's all done and dusted now. 2WW here I come. Am not coping well with a few things mentally the past few days, there have been a lot of tears over things, my fecking moods are all over the place! Hormental woman alert!

OP posts:
GetDownYouWillFall · 17/11/2010 14:24

Sounds promising 100years! Remember though that you need to see at least 3 sustained increased temps in a row to confirm ov. has happened. Hope the 2ww passes quickly for you. Sorry to hear you've been feeling a bit weepy.

I've just had another positive OPK. Smile If anything it was stronger than yesterday. So do we have to keep DTD every day until it goes negative?

FF told me yesterday that ov would happen within two days, but now it's saying could be the day after that! Poor DH is ill at the moment, he's going to be worn out!!

ravenlocks · 17/11/2010 17:34

Good luck button I know how you are feeling, my DH was made redundant too and was actually unemployed when I found out I was pg last time (which we went on to miscarry). I am usually quite highly strung (!) but was really chilled out about that fact as just thought, 9 months is a long time away and what will be will be. He had another job within 6 weeks. I hope all works out for you both.

Getdown defo SWI away for the next couple of days at least. Will be interested to know if you get a positive OPK on the day you ovulate once FF confirms the temp shift.

QOTCW good luck for next round of testing!

BabsH · 17/11/2010 18:13

Afternoon all,

Sorry to hear about you thinking about going back on contraception Button, hopefully things will work out soon for you and your DH!

I've just gotten a new phone with an android system, so have been trying out the apps, including one called my Days, which follows your periods and you can add in your temps etc, so going give that a go this month and see how I get on, does anyone else use something similar? Any good?

ddas · 17/11/2010 19:26

Girls I have some vvvvv good news: AF not due till sun but have been feeling constantly nauseous since just before wkend-tried to ignore it telling myself it was there because I wanted to be pregnant so badly my body was fooling me. But yest and worse today- excruciatingly painful breasts to point were just the feeling of my bra on my nipples (sorry that prob to much info lol) was unbearable. My curiosity got the better of me and tested-bfp! As was an Internet cheapy silly me thought no it's faulty need to double check so bought an expensive techy one which say preg 1-2 wks! Sorry for the long post I'm just so over the moon that have verbal diarrhoea and dh on business trip and his plane not landing till v late tonight so got to keep it to myself till 2moz!!

BabsH · 17/11/2010 20:27

Yay!!!! Big congrats from me too!!! Hopefully the first of several of us :)

GetDownYouWillFall · 17/11/2010 20:36

Yay ddas so pleased for you Smile Smile Smile

ddas · 17/11/2010 20:44

thanks! fingers crossed that an early bfp will get the ball rolling and the august bus will be a bumper BFP month!!!!

ravenlocks: it was first month for properly ttc but last month we didn't do anything to stop it so guess it's more of a cycle 2. SIL got pregnant at first attempt and recommended pre-seedwhich we used this month . As last month without any concerted effort = bfn this month we went all out and had schedule of SWI alternate days once period stopped and with the help of OPK -SWI everyday around ovulation. very knackering but very very glad we went all out lol as my mum took 3 yrs to concieve so was ready for a long slog.

trying to not get too excited though in case it doesn't stick so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for a healthy successful pregnancy.

CMD83 · 17/11/2010 21:03

Yay! Congrats ddas

Eskarina · 17/11/2010 21:05

Hurrah ddas! Congrats Smile
Lovely to see a graduates section on the bus.

Not much to report here. I have spent all day talking - couple of meetings in the morning, teaching all afternoon (that bit was OK!) then parent consultations all evening - I was talking almost non-stop for 3.5 hours! I did try to let parents get words in edgeways Blush Now completely lost my voice and I have to do it all again tomorrow.

Have forgotton about OPK's, though my new packet arrived this morning. Must try harder to do them in the evenings.

MrsP81 · 17/11/2010 21:22

Fantastic news ddas!!! Grin

KLou111 · 17/11/2010 21:28

Congrats ddas, that's so exciting!

Nothing going on here either, yet - DH is off on a stag do for three days starting tomorrow, so we'll be getting down to it after that (I hope).
