Morning all, WhyWait have updated your stats.

Sorry to hear about redudancies, I went through it last year, so know how horrible it is, especially the not knowing, but fingers crossed for you all that things pick up soon!

Am all done with this months serious SWIing and now just waiting to see if our old friend AF turns up, still making loads of goodies for xmas at the moment so got plenty to keep me occupied!

Button, sorry to hear about the job. It's a horrible thing to go through.

We've now made the official announcement re the engagement so I can shout it from the rooftops if I want to :)

I'm fairly sure I have passed ovulation, so I reckon am in my 2WW, gah, feeling a bit over emotional at the moment and trying not to think of when the 'window' may fall next month, I am trying not to get my hopes up too high for this month as I am going to be disappointed enough without building myself up if that makes any sense at all.

Hello everyone

After two bites at the July Bus I'd like to join the August Bus... hope that is ok :)

Quick bit about me... I have a wonderful two year old boy and have been trying to concieve No2 for a year now. In that year we've had an ectopic and a miscarriage at 13 weeks but we're now trying again.

Welcome knitter, nice to see you again!

Teds77 · 16/11/2010 12:22

Just trying to catch-up!

LOL to the 'lurking' EWCM and also the thermometers being used in ladybits Grin

Eskarina sorry to hear your news but glad that the GP was helpful and sounds like you are staying postive.

button also so sorry to hear your news. That's a real bummer. Have my fingers crossed for a new job very soon.

GetDown any news on ov-ing? Do hope it's about to happen x

And welcome to valbona, Greeneyes and knitter nice to see some familier faces but sad the July bus didn't have more BFPs. Hope we'll start getting some here soon.

queenofthecapitalwasteland · 16/11/2010 13:25

Just tested- BFN Sad + Angry

Bought a test this morning as i've always found the best way to encourage AF was to actually buy the test but Boot's own brand just confirmed it Sad

Ah well, September bus here I come!

Anyone else tested yet?

Teds77 · 16/11/2010 13:40

Oh QOTCW gutted for you Sad

I might test at the weekend as feeling weak this month...

If I get a BFN I think I can squeeze another trip in on the August bus and reckon you could too? If you fancy it, keep a seat warm for me at the back of the bus.

queenofthecapitalwasteland · 16/11/2010 13:47

Well, according to my super fab android app Grin I need to start SWI again from 25/11 so I'll still be trying.

Quiet annoyed as I had been feeling a little queasy today, but also feeling very grumpy which sent out mixed signals.

KLou111 · 16/11/2010 15:03

Really sorry QOTCW any sign of AF though, as you may be a late show-er?

Am on 2ww now. Roll on 2 weeks. Got my OPK sticks this morning, did one this aft but neg, so guess have already OV'd as was due yesterday/latest today.

Fingers crossed and prayers being said x

GetDownYouWillFall · 16/11/2010 16:46

Sorry you got a negative QOTCW Sad

Teds I think I am ov'ing as I've got stretchy stuff, feeling a bit achey in the lady area, and OPK was definitely darker today (but still not as dark as the control line - which is officially a negative Confused)

Annoyingly DH is ill! I will have to turn on my charms tonight! Wish me luck!

Eskarina · 16/11/2010 16:52

Congrats on the engagement 100years

Knitter lovely to see you, but sorry to see you here IYSWIM. Better luck this month!

I'm on CD11. Did an ov stick this morning and only got a faint line, so obv not yet. The problem with having such irregular cycles is that I've ovulated as early as CD13 and as late as CD26. This could get expensive in pee-sticks! Which is more important - that you do the OPK at the same time each day, or that you do it in the afternoon? I can manage one or the other, but not both. The instructions on the clearblue site say something like "many women find first thing in the morning most convenient", but I thought it was better to do them pm?

I have parents' evenings this week so am trying to make sure children's books and records are up to date before tomorrow, then have to stay at school until late tomorrow and thursday evenings.

GetDownYouWillFall · 16/11/2010 16:57

Esk this is from FF - may be helpful to you...

Follow the manufacturer's instructions about the time to take your OPK. First morning urine is usually not the best for OPKs since your LH surge usually begins in early morning when you are still sleeping and may not be apparent in your first morning urine. If you test in the early morning, you may miss your surge entirely since LH levels may already be reduced by the next morning. Late morning or early afternoon is usually best unless the instructions suggest otherwise.

Eskarina · 16/11/2010 17:08

Thanks Getdown that is helpful, the problem is I'm at work every day and there's nowhere to pee on a stick in peace! (well, obviously there are loos, but they're not really private enough). I came home earlyish today because it's really foggy here and I'm a bit of a wimp about driving in the dark and fog Blush but tomorrow & thurs I won't be in until 7.30. This could all be academic as it might be a week on friday before I ovulate at all anyway Confused

Also, what do those of you who know about charting make of my temps? here This is a fairly typical pattern with my temp drifting down from CD4ish onwards. I expect they'll get down to about 35.6 or so before they go loopy and we play guess the ovulation day.

Thanks Smile

Teds77 · 16/11/2010 17:40

Good luck with charming your DH GetDown Grin

Eskarina 'fraid charting is still a mystery to me. Hope someone can help.

I think I'm 5DPO today so am foolishing hoping for the onset of full pg symptoms in the next day or so... And will probably imagine them up anyways if they don't appear. Am loon. Grin

GetDownYouWillFall · 16/11/2010 17:41

I started a thread a while ago about tips for OPK testing if you work.

Is there a disabled loo you can use? I find I pee into a plastic cup (the ones you get from a water cooler) and test straight away. The result only takes a few minutes to come up. I use the internet cheapies and the sachets are quite small and discreet, I can usually stuff one into my pocket / trouser belt and it doesn't even notice!

I think it would be better to test in early afternoon if you could - seems a shame to risk missing the surge.

Your chart looks fine to me, I think it's normal for temps to drop slightly as AF dwindles away.

Would you like to have a look at mine?? This is post MC cycle - so a bit longer than normal.... do you think ov is about to happen getdown's chart

ravenlocks · 16/11/2010 18:54

One of my colleagues just announced her pg today and said she couldn't believe how quickly it happened. Envy

I still haven't remembered to take my temp!! Trying to look on the bright side of this, ie that TTC isn't the first thing I think about when I wake up.

Esk I do my OPKs after work, about 7pm each night and it works fine.

I am so not confident this cycle due to timings. Although just thought, if I was trying NOT to get pg I would be sh**g myself about unprotected sex on poss ov day, but coz I AM trying to get pg I am thinking ?crap I only DTD once in fertile window and possibly day after Ov so it'll never happen?.

valbona · 16/11/2010 20:11

thank you for the warm welcome to the bus! most comfy. I am having delusional psychosomatic (spelling??) symptoms. convincing myself being grumpy-for-no-reason is pregnancy not PMT ...

sillybillymummy · 17/11/2010 00:33

Hello.. it's almost impossible to keep up!
Need one of you ladies on this bus to give me some expert opinion!
Last night when DH & I were SWI-ing.. he said i felt very hot compared to normal - what does this mean?
I have never 'temped' or anything... so does this mean, i was about to OV??

BabsH · 17/11/2010 07:00

Morning,

Maybe you were just having a really good time? I get really hot just before the big O IYSWIM?!?

Sorry not much help and possibly TMI, but thought I would add in my pennysworth before someone comes along who actually knows something :o

buttonmoon78 · 17/11/2010 07:08

Thanks for the messages everyone. DH now at home feeling decidedly emasculated. Am now hoping I fall off the August bus and will go and see gp when af arrives to sort out contraception again. I can't risk making things even worse.

queenofthecapitalwasteland · 17/11/2010 08:05

ravenlock how annoying! Hoping you have some ggod news this month.

buttonmoon hope things go better soon for you and your DH and you can get back on the wagon soon.

valbona nothing wrong with that- I'm currently deluding myself hoping that as AF hasn't turned up yet, and she's normally so punctual, I may still be in luck.
