Hi there Attenborough - the CBFM usually asks for the first test on day 6 - so you should be asked to start testing from tomorrow. Good luck!

Do you want us to add your stats to the list?

Seems to be quite a few people who are in "testing" territory - any BFPs ladies??!!

BabyHoping · 17/09/2010 10:13

Hello everyone,

Emmy sorry about AF/chemical pregnancy. Hopefully that means that its easy to get pregnant and this month you will have a keeper.

ljg At this point I prefer knowing that I got a chemical pregnancy than not knowing anything... So I guess I will continue with the crazy testing before! ;) What I think is important is realizing that those first days lots of things can go wrong and your body knows best. If I got a positive by 10dpo I think at this stage of my life i would probably wait a few days before telling DH

Attenborough the monitor starts asking for tests on the 6th day of yur first cycle (once it knows your can ask later)

Lychees I feel the same way as you... I just keep receiving news of second pregnancies and everytime I get them I feel really bad...Last one was from a very close friend who has a 9month baby and I just found out she is pregnant again (already with 4 months)

Well on my side, ovuation stimulation worked and yesterday I got another shot to make the egg come out. Doctor told us to "do it today, friday, saturday, sunday, until you get tired" so here we go! Honestly I´m not thinking at it so much as I was before cause I have to maintain my sanity and last months have been hard.

LaraMi · 17/09/2010 11:20

Hi... I wondered if anyone knew where I can sell mine... It's brand new, never been opened. I fell pregnant before needing it. I tried Gumtree but I guess that's not the right forum and am aware I can't sell stuff on here so wondered if anyone knew where I can get post it to sell it. Thanks

ljg72 · 17/09/2010 11:24

Put it on Ebay!!! have a look at others for sale on there, to give you a guide on the going rate...Congrats on your BFP X

Lychees · 17/09/2010 13:00

Hello All!

Startlet I had early peaks this cycle on CD14/15 so I think AF is due v.soon and I think she will come so there is no point in wasting a HPT.

Good news on the ovulation BabyHoping and good luck with the bd'ing!

Attenborough · 17/09/2010 14:53

Thank you!

Starlet - you needn't add me to the list yet thank you - not TTCing for another few months but decided it wouldn't hurt to try the CFM for a random month just to get used to the way it works. Very kind of you to offer though!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 17/09/2010 17:53

Hello everyone, hope you're all having a good Friday.

Emmy - sorry about the BFP then AF, that must be so disappointing Sad. Hope you're going to make the most of the wine this weekend.

Been manic here decorating so not been posting much. However CBFM asked for its first stick yesterday - on day 7?! I thought it was supposed to start on day 6 or 9 (I'm on cycle 2)? Anyway it's still on low obviously but am hoping to see more progress than last month, when I didn't get a peak at all.

starlet - am interested to hear about your acupuncture, I keep thinking about it myself. Please keep us updated!

Anyway hope you all have a good weekend

Attenborough · 17/09/2010 19:37

Sorry, people - a couple of basic question about the stats (now Starlet has piqued my interest!):

  1. UCL - is this usual cycle length?
  1. what does CD mean?
KnackeredCow · 17/09/2010 22:01

Attenborough, welcome! I'm on cycle 1 with the CBFM, but so far have found it really useful.

In response to your questions. Yep to #1.

CD means Cycle Day. I could never remember until CBFM.

Attenborough · 17/09/2010 22:12

I'm so sorry if this is something I should be more tactful about, but I'm a bit confused, as some of the posters on the list have a UCL number which is much smaller than their CD number. Can someone explain? Or just tell me to bugger off and not be such a numpty?

Attenborough · 17/09/2010 22:13

(And thank you for the welcome! I'm still not really here, honest, but will join in properly as soon as I can).

Keziahhopes · 17/09/2010 22:20

Hi Attenborough - some people are having bizarre cycles, hence the numbers! Boba, bless her got to 120!! A record for this thread!

KnackeredCow · 18/09/2010 09:16

Morning ladies. Feeling a bit down today. Just had a text from one of my friends to say that she's pg with number 2. Apparently it was an accident.

Have sent her a congratulatory text, but feel really bad because I don't actually feel as happy as I should for her. I guess I am Envy

Wish she'd been more tactful in her text and hadn't told me that the pregnancy was unplanned.

Sorry for me me me post.

Lychees · 18/09/2010 09:34

Morning All!

KnackeredCow, I know what you mean. The last two RL pg announcements [my brother's #3 and my cousin's #2] have been followed with "we didn't expect it to happen that quickly!". Well, good for you!!! Well done for being so bloody fertile!!! Angry

Attenborough, also in answer to your q about UCL. Some of the ladies with big CD numbers haven't been on in a while so they probably are not on those CD's. I think we probably need to tidy the list up a bit.

fedupttcnosuccess · 19/09/2010 13:14

thank you lychees. i am so down at the minute it's unbelievable. all the symptoms were there this month (i am definitely not a symptom spotter:too much else going on at work and home, for me to have any time on my hands to do that!); and then AF arrived with a vengeance. I am so disheartened now. we are resigned to the fact now that it may now never happen for us. we are both a little long in the tooth now, i'm 40, he's 43. could not have predicted that we'd be even considering this at our ages even up until just 5 years ago. life is strange. it's certainly a funny hand we've been dealt. i am in a very dark place right now. so sorry to infict this on you guys here. we are so grateful for our health, etc. but this baby thing is quite hard to come to terms with:especially with it being "unexplained infertility"; if it aint broke, how do we go about fixing it?

Lychees · 19/09/2010 16:39

fedupttcnosuccess, this journey is so hard and lonely. I can empathise with those feelings. I get the same feeling of devastation each month ... I've just learnt to hide it better. It's so all-consuming.

Do you have much support in RL? If not, there are very supporting, lovely ladies here. They help me get through each month. All I can say is that there is always hope. That is what I'm hanging on to. Like you, I have no answers and its frustrating. But I am ever hopeful.

fedupttcnosuccess · 19/09/2010 18:13

Thank you so much for your warm welcome. People in RL are blissfully unaware as they continue to see me as the driven career woman I have been all my life. I find it hard to confide in family and friends, otherwise I am frightened I will crumble, and this hard exterior shell once shattered will be hard to put together. I am genuinely happy for friends and family popping babies left right and centre. However, my personal life choices haunt me.

Keziahhopes · 19/09/2010 23:42

Hi fedup - I so know what you mean about people being unaware, with an outside shell. You have just described me (minus the driven career woman - I love my job, but haven't climbed the ladder and nor do I wish to and have no children either despire years of ttc!)

Fedup - have you been to the gp for basic blood tests and up to date smear and swabs etc? They will do those for you and it might help?
