fed up. no sign of AF so looks like the last two cycles being 35 and 37 days was a blip and i'm heading for another 40+ cycle.

Just don't know what's going on with my body, and thinking it really is time to pester my GP but part of me is scared in case there is something really wrong Sad

rosieposey · 27/09/2010 10:31

Thanks for all the well wishes ladies :)

I did loads of tests too totallyfloaty (about three times a day!) and got some really strong looking lines when i got up yesterday. Unfortunately by lunchtime i did another and one last night and this morning and they are all negative. Obviously must be a chemical pregnancy, had one at the beginning of the year too and exactly the same thing happened - its the perils of testing early im afraid.

I would definately expect to see a nice strong line by today and this mornings negative just confirms its a chemical. Cant wait for AF now, last time this happened it was a few days late and i tortured myself by doing a test every day till it came but of course they stayed negative, i am not going to do that this time.

I hope i dont see many of you on the July bus and you get lots more bfp's, ill join as soon as af starts and fingers crossed for next month. Good luck everyone!

Totallyfloaty its looking good - will keep everything crossed for you :)

fledtoscotland · 27/09/2010 11:18

Stilk no AF so will test again tomorrow

xx

BenignNeglect · 27/09/2010 12:12

Sorry to hear that Rosie :(. Hope the July bus is better for you.

And Raven - don't do it!!! Resist the sticks :)

ravenlocks · 27/09/2010 15:29

Rosie that sucks, how gutting. Hope you are feeling ok, and ready to get straight back to it.

Your story and the strong advise from broughthimroundtotheidea and benign have convinced me not to test tomorrow.

I had thought that I wouldn't atall ruin DH's birthday by getting a BFN as I wouldn't believe it anyway due to how early I was testing. However, in reality I would be so upset with a BFN that it would impact the day - no doubt. Even worse I guess if I got a BFP and got us both excited and it turned out to be a chemical and I get AF a couple of days later. Also googled and found out that mostly likely day to get a chemical pg (if that is the right way to say it?) is at 12DPO - obviously take that with major bucket of salt given I found it on the internet. So not very many arguments for testing at 11DPO.

So, I will test on Thursday if I don't have AF or a major temp drop by then.

Quite nervy today as this is only my 2nd month of temping and at 11DPO last month I had my first of 3 steep temp drops which resulted in AF 13DPO. I have a feeling I will know tomorrow deep down if things didn't work out this month - testing or no testing as my BBT will give the game away.

I should really be working but just can't be bothered!!

ravenlocks · 27/09/2010 15:42

Meant to say - how irritating queenrollo! Are you temping? I would recommend it if you have irregular cycles as as pinning down luteal phase length, and pinpointing ovulation (albeit after the event) were benefits I noticed from it. They say your luteal phase length doesn't vary more than a day or so each month. For example for me, I am on CD28 today, but only 10DPO whereas previous cycles have been as short as 26 days. I been stressed and confused over 'late periods', which actually was just about later ovulation. So, if I hadn't been charting/ temping I would have thought I was late today when in reality I am not. Only been a couple of months for me doing it, but last month I predicted AF due date on the money based on knowing ov day and last months luteal phase length.

queenrollo · 27/09/2010 16:18

i haven't been temping.....wondering whether to give it a go. Need to read a bit more about it. Will my digital thermometer do or do i need to buy a special one?

OverThePond · 27/09/2010 16:31

queenrollo I just started temping (you need a BBT thermometer as it gives you 2 decimals and a narrow range). It makes me feel more in control and over a few cycles will definitely clue you in to timing SWI and timing the length of cycles (I've suddenly become really irregular).

Caveat (not sure if this is good or bad) is it is also what is sending me to the doctor as I realized the severe pain and bleeding is simultaneous with ovulation which I've not experienced before.

queenrollo · 27/09/2010 18:06

i've just ordered a thermometer, i think it will be good for me to do something pro-active rather than just sitting here wondering what on earth is going on with my body.

ravenlocks · 27/09/2010 19:35

Good stuff queen- I think it could help. Without encouraging you to turn obsessive (!), fertilityfriend.com is a good website to sign up for and input your temps. The site the charts it all out for you and tells you when you have ovulated based on your temps.

Hope it works for you - of course you may be pg this cycle still, no?

queenrollo · 27/09/2010 20:26

I don't think so ravenlocks - the one thing i did start doing was checking my cervix and it's doing what it always does before AF puts in an appearance.

Of course sods law says if i spend money on things to help me get pregnant then i'll fall pregnant soonest!

DP and i will be getting married soon and the dress i have is very well fitted, i told him that if we set a date for 3/4 months time i'd be guaranteed to fall pregnant straight away and the dress won't fit Grin

My cycle was more irregular than this when ttc DS, but after he was born i fell into a clockwork 30 day cycle and so i know my body is(was) capable, but being on the pill seems to upset it a lot. I also wonder if my weight is an issue, i was this weight when ttc DS......i put weight on after he was born, but then lost it when i split from his dad. My last midwife said my BMI was too low Hmm and i suspect my GP will say the same, but try as i might i just can't get the weight back on.

fledtoscotland · 27/09/2010 20:32

Evening all

AF has arrived tonight so am off to catch up with the others who are already on the July bus

fingers cross for everyone else

cyberjules · 27/09/2010 20:50

Okay, never been on a bus before! How exciting!!

This is our first month TTC - hope I'm not gonna be on too many buses :) I was really lucky with #1 and concieved the first month. but that was 2 1/2 years ago!

Just a few more days and I'm gonna do a test! prob on 1st September.

Its so nice to know I'm not alone on the 2WW it feels like FOREVER!!!!

Hows every one feeling? I've had dull crampy feelings for the past few days...

Girlsworld · 27/09/2010 22:03

Hi all! Sorry to hear your news RosiePosey Sad & Good luck to all those departed from the June bus to the July bus.

Well, ov is fast approaching for me and although I don't tell DH when ov-day is I'm sure he's now worked it out by the amount of attention he's getting! Wink he's never had it so good (well, since the last pg anyway!) Getting a bit nervous, it really would be sod's law to argue about something minor like whos turn it was to put the alarm on, and that'll ruin the mood and chances will be scuppered for another month! At least if we're managing SWI there may be some long-lasting swimmers around to help in that event Smile

OverThePond · 27/09/2010 23:15

Well, hopping back on to announce my (very cautiously optimistic) BFP. Will hold off from graduating though until at least Thursday as have to go for a second blood test to rule out ectopic because of spotting. Not to mention, these are early days and it could be chemical. Still: because ultrasound tech said my uterus looks spongey and healthy.

OverThePond · 27/09/2010 23:51

Rosie such a bummer. I was on my phone earlier so didn't read through the posts properly. Hope AF arrives soon so you can start moving along.

ravenlocks · 28/09/2010 06:29

Sorry AF arrived fled, all the best on the July bus. Welcome cyberjules!

Well, it is the beginning of the end for me I'm sure of it. Temp drop this morning identical to last cycle. Cue a drop tomorrow below coverline tomorrow and AF turning up on Thursday. Pissed off!

ravenlocks · 28/09/2010 07:23

Ooh, missed your news OTP. That is great, keeping fingers crossed that it stays!!

whatapip · 28/09/2010 08:10

Hello,
Hope you all don't mind me jumping on this thread. I usually lurk so please excuse this message and ignore if you like (although any advice would be most welcome...)
I'm basically wondering how early you could start spotting symptoms of pg. I'm only on CD19 and (I think) 5DPO but today I woke up feeling sick with the strangest taste in my mouth (yes, metallic). I know it's far far too early to take a test, but would symptoms present themselves this soon?
Sorry for barging in, good luck to everyone on this thread - it's so stressful, isn't it?! I had a mc mid-July and am sooo desparate to be pg again...

jigglebum · 28/09/2010 09:27

Welcome whatapip and cyberjules. Really pleased for you OTP but bad luck Raven and Rosie. Hope the July bus is more successful for you both (and everyone else on it).

Whatapip - I am on CD30 but only 7 dpo and feeling awful - I am of course convinced I am pregnant so will look with interest at the responses to your question from those with more of a clue than me!

How long do people normally wait to take a test - I know 2 weeks in theory, but what do people do in reality!

MoogHasNoBrain · 28/09/2010 09:47

Hi All,

I too am a regular lurker. have been desperately trying not to obsess this month (7th cycle now) and relax but it is not working. In the middle of lots of SWI at the moment and tomorrow will be on the 2ww... again...

I had always thought day 6 or 7 was the earliest you could feel symptoms given that implantation doesn't generally happen until then. But every rule can be broken! Fingers crossed for you..

MoogHasNoBrain · 28/09/2010 09:49

Jigglebum - I try to wait until 10dpo to test but have been known to test on day 5 before - which is a waste of time and money, but doesn't stop me!!

Greeneyesbigbottom · 28/09/2010 13:28

I'm jum;ping off, on to the July bus for me.

Sad

I might TRY temping this month as its about the only thing I haven't tried.

Desperate.

8rubberduckies · 28/09/2010 18:27

Hi all, haven't been on much recently as have been ill again, bloody tonsilitis this time! Have only managed to sqeeze in SWI twice and due to having a fever since Saturday have not been able to work out if I've OV'd, so don't even know if we SWId at the right time... it's not looking good this month everyone... Sad. The only good thing is that I'm allowed to eat Soleros for every meal at the moment as it's the onlly thing I seem to be able to swallow Grin

So, so sorry to hear your news Rosie, I hope you have better luck on the next bus. Sorry to see lots of other familiar faces have departed too.

Totallyfloaty big congratulations to you, sounds like you have managed to pin down your husband in the right country at the right time this month Wink!! Best of luck...

whatapip I don't think there's any point symptom spotting til after implantation, around 7-10 dpo, as this is when the hormones which cause a lot of the ickiness start kicking in.
