FHG sits at back of bus and enjoys the rose she's been avoiding 'just incase'

TerrysNo2 · 22/09/2010 23:04

hi all, can I join?

My stats are (if I understand it right!):

TTC #2 UCL 27 Cycle 2 CD3

I hardly believe that conception acronyms are even more confusing than the pregnancy ones were Grin

DH and I are trying for a 2nd for the 2nd month but didn't really try much last month as it was my first cycle for 2.5 years! I stopped BFing DS in May and came off the pill in July. So far first cycle seems a "normal" length of 27 days but my AFs are only 2 days long. Anyone else have such short ones?

Have ordered some OPKs off t'internet so will be seeing what they're like.

So, hello! Smile

MrsP81 · 23/09/2010 07:40

Congratulations totally, keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Welcome greeneyes and Terrys.

I'm 29 btw, and would very much like to be pg before I'm 30. Not that it makes any difference, I just like to have something to aim for!

We have been doing lots of SWI this week and even my DH, who was very enthusiastic to start with, is looking forward to the 2ww so he can have a rest. I am very impressed with you ladies who manage it twice a day.

MrsP81 · 23/09/2010 07:43

And I meant to say to jigglebum, I would also have a couple of drinks at the wedding.

StarflowerGirl · 23/09/2010 09:04

Like fatheadsgirl I took a test this morning to see if it was ok to take some flu meds because I just feel so awful. Well, to my great surprise, I got a BFP!!!!!!!

Hubby and I are being cautiously optimistic. In fact hubby's first words when I told him were "Oh. Ok." Bless him, he's afraid to be happy about it until we're past the point at which we lost the last one.

I'm taking occasional paracetamol to fend off any fever but have no idea what else I can safely take. Any ideas?

mrsden · 23/09/2010 09:25

Congratulations Totally and Starflowergirl!! That is fantastic news. I'm sending you both lots of sticky thoughts Grin

Did you have any signs or symptoms that made you think you might get a BFP? I'm 7 dpo now and feel nothing unusual, wondering if this might be a bad sign or if it's normal not to have any inkling this early.

MrsP81 I'm also 29 and the same as you decided that my aim is to get pregnant before I turn 30!

StarflowerGirl · 23/09/2010 09:38

mrsden I didn't notice anything this month but I don't know if the flu has been masking any pg symptoms. My nipples have looked, I dunno, different the past few days. The nipple area is bigger and I have a huge blue vein underneath my right one but aside from that nothing.

This time is so different to the last time. Last time I was dreadfully dreadfully ill with a kidney infection right around the time I got a BFP, I was puking everywhere from day 1 and had terrible stomach cramps. I'm taking it as a good sign that, aside from the flu, I actually feel pretty damn good this time round. Smile

TerrysNo2 · 23/09/2010 09:39

Congratulations starflower and totally - keeping my fingers crossed for both of you!!

I am 29 too and if being optimistic would like to have baby before I'm 30 (in July) but not banking on that!

ilovebooks · 23/09/2010 10:31

Hey All

Can I join in please?

My stats are

TTC #2 UCL 27 Cycle 1 CD9

My DS is 6.8 and I'm now 33.. pretty stressed with work this month and as it's our first month of trying am already thinking soooo unlikely!

I've also found that since coming off the pill a few months ago my cycle and period has been quite short (only 2 days of proper bleeding!!) so am a bit concerned about that.

Anyway loads of luck to everyone x

GoodVibrations · 23/09/2010 11:02

Popping back to see how you are all doing, and so happy for totally and starflower, congratulations! I have everything crossed for you. I tested really early and so have been a bit obsessed with testing again and have had a few late night dashes to tesco to get more tests!. The BFP has been getting stronger which is good, and I feel very sick today.

Hello to all the other ladies, and the newcomers!

Greeneyesbigbottom · 23/09/2010 15:53

Congratulations StarFlower, GoodVibrations and Totally brilliant news Grin

Sorry about AF Serendipity, I cant offer any advice about implantation bleeding and as think I have that every month! I spot for a few days before so its hard not to think otherwise!

SWI for 10 days was hard work I tell ya! Although we did try and alternate it, i.e one morning, then leave it till the next evening, and it worked out quite well. I think there was a few occasions when we both couldnt really be bothered, but TMI - soon get into it Blush LOL He does feel the pressure if I tell him we HAVE to do it though!!!

I am now imagining waves of nausea, and boobs feel really heavy and sore but then they do most months. 2WW is now 5 day wait.

Is anyone else due on or around 27th/28th September???

OverThePond · 23/09/2010 15:58

Welcome ilovebooks and terrysno2 Hope this is a good bus for you.
Congratulations starflower really happy for you!
Think AF may be turning up early as I'm spotting Sad Have to go to Recurrent Miscarriage Clinic tomorrow now for stupid blood tests. Humpf!

OP posts:
ravenlocks · 23/09/2010 18:10

Sorry FHG, hope things go well tomorrow, let us know how you get on.

Congrats starflower!!!!! Welcome newbies.

Am feeling "bleuch", is that a pg symptom 6DPO?? Just want to put on a tracksuit and eat cheese.

StarflowerGirl · 23/09/2010 18:19

Thanks for the list of medications overthepond! Looks like we're not so bad off for things to take when we feel rotten. I'm very interested in the Vit B6 for nausea. I can definitely see that one coming in handy!

As for the list, please keep me on it. As I said, we're being cautiously optimistic here but I'm not ready to graduate to an ante-natal club just yet. I like it too much here on the June Bus. Smile

Lastly, welcome to ilovebooks and terrysno2!

kat2504 · 23/09/2010 18:28

starflower many congrats on your bfp, sending you sticky bean wishes and hope you will be leaving the bus at the very next stop. Presume you will test again in two or three days?

Girlsworld · 23/09/2010 19:11

Congrats totallyfloaty and starflowergirl! Great news. I gotta feeling that you'll both most definitely be on the June antenatal thread!

hey TerrysNo2 at last I have company at the back of the bus!

CD8... gearing up for lots of SWI next week. I usually ov day 16 which is Friday, then have a 12 day LP. So DH is on red alert! (although he doesn't know the specifics, I try to keep that from him so it's like a... what.. a russian roulette?!? Grin Keeping a bit of mystery. He knows I know when O-day is but he doesn't ask!

Teds77 · 23/09/2010 19:13

Congrats to starflower and Totally and hello to the newbies.

I am feeling sorry for myself as work (especially a few days away from home) and tiredness mean I think I may have rather messed up my chances this month Sad Fear I may soon be departing for the July bus.. Bum. I guess statisically a few of you lovely June bus will be joining me - a nice thought for me though I apologise for depressing everyone else...

To those of you in the SWI-stage, stay alert and get to it! Smile

Greeneyes based on a 26 day cycle I'm due on 30th but I'm determined not going to test until day 30 (length of last month's cycle).. though the arrival of AF might make testing irrelevant anyway. Sob Sad

NervousNelly · 23/09/2010 20:40

Bad news :( back to cycle day 1. 3 days earlier than expected. But on the positive side, this means I get to stay on the June bus. Two trips in one month! Just as well this bus is a good one Grin.

I brought gin Wink

milanomum · 23/09/2010 20:46

:( nelly that's a bugger pain.

starflowergirl congratulations! As for the meds, over here they pretty much tell you not to take anything except paracetamol. Confused

8rubberduckies · 23/09/2010 21:07

Ah, I go away for a couple of days and we get some BFPs! Yay! Congratulations ladies! Welcome new people as well. I have no news, except it's the busy time of the month, so just poking my head up really [waves]

queenrollo · 23/09/2010 22:07

well that last two cycles i've had definite building up to AF symptoms.....spots, tell-tale stomach cramps and the shortest fuse it's possible for a woman to have. DP hasn't retreated to the shed with his tin hat on yetGrin
This time (so far) i have nothing except my boobs have suddenly got tender Hmm
I'm not feeling optimistic for a BFP this month, more Sad that my cycles still haven't settled down.
Looks more like i'm going to have to pester my GP for blood tests doesn't it?

it's so unfair.....

fledtoscotland · 24/09/2010 07:48

BFN this month. AF due today or tomorrow and feel premenstral. Shingles clearing up but still needing some painkillers most days. Also a july baby would mean xmas 2011 off!!!

Congrats to you all who have a BFP , fingers crossed for the rest of you.

Am now off to find july bus stop :(

KnitterNotTwitter · 24/09/2010 09:55

Oh dear - just adding my news... AF arrived this morning - a few days early which is always a nice surprise Hmm

i'm off to find fled on the July bus... good luck everyone else :)

StarflowerGirl · 24/09/2010 10:24

Glad to hear your shingles are clearing up fled

Sorry to those who have been visited by AF this month. Sad I have a feeling the July bus will be a lucky one for you!

kat I've just done a CB Digital test and got a Pregnant 1-2, so it's definite. Feeling tentatively excited. Smile

I'm hoping my GP will agree to do beta HCGs next week so that we can be sure they're doubling.
