The May Bus

I'm feeling positive about this next cycle. Due rtd tomorrow.

If it's as long as the one I'm just finishing I'll be due sometime in early May so thought I'd do the honours and polish down the bus, stack it full of champagne and nibbles and start the engine!

Who's with me?

Hi lemonsherbet I'm a transferee (eh?) from the April bus too. It's a bit sh!t having to change bus innit? Anyway, here's hoping we'll be on the graduate list this time :)

Hi to brilaunt too. Sorry - I am rubbish at doing the list thing so will leave it to someone who knows what they are doing! Good luck this month to you too

I'm really not up for it this month TBH. Of course when I get to day 14 I will likely begin to obsess again but I just feel complete lack of enthusiasm after another BFN :( I think I am trying to convince myself I wasn't really ready for it anyway and this way I have another month to get my head around everything but I'm not convincing myself.

Maybe it's Wednesday limbo talking and the fact that I am only at the start of things again this month.

Sorry for the downer post. I'm off to stick a big wooden cake mixing spoon in the massive Nutella jar n drink a squeezy tube of condensed milk to see if that will cheer me up Grin but then again eeeeewwwww - maybe will just make Chocolate Truffles with DS and eat most of it before it sets instead :)

Morning all. Welcome brilaunt.

Tamashii send some of those choccies over here!!! I'm sure you'll get your oomph back at the right time of the month -- it's all supposed tobe linked to the hormones I think so I imagine it's quite normal not to be too keen on the SWI on CD6. I know that's certainly the way it works for me.

fledtoscotland · 11/08/2010 11:12

Morning - those truffles sound delicious tamashii. You have put me right in the mood for a jar of nutella Grin

I always find this part of ttc more demoralising than the 2ww- at least then you have done something about the job in hand, so to speak but right now both DH and I don't feel spontaneous. Happens every time we TTC.

Roll on day 12!

digitalgirl · 11/08/2010 15:12

ooh, CD23 already?! Am only just ovulatnig after finally getting a positive opk yesterday afternoon. So nice to get two proper lines for a change. Will either hatch today or tomorrow...but either way the 2ww starts soon.

Am going to try various methods of distraction for the first 10 days from planning DS's birthday party at the end of the month to shopping for a dress to wear to a wedding next month. Have a very busy couple of weeks at work too, which should help.

vallinna you out there? did you get your meds to kickstart ov?

Wombat33 · 11/08/2010 16:23

Hi Digitalgirl. Glad you've got your positive OPK. Happy SWI!!

raspberrytipple · 11/08/2010 18:48

Hello all, I may as well take a seat, im now on CD3 of 2nd month trying.... ive been quite upset that it didnt happen straight away but not many do so onwards and upwards!! Lots of fun trying to be had. A preggers friend of mine has given me an OPK so going to give that a try but looks a bit scary to me!! Still, anything that might give us a baby is worth a go! Good luck everyone!

omnomnomtom · 11/08/2010 20:40

Tamashii pass some of those truffles this way!

So am on CD17 and AF still hanging around- urgh! Am hoping it is just because be AF has only recently returned after DS1 and bfing for a year but am seeing the GP about it on Mon to see what they say.

Any 2ww-ers with symptoms?

Totallyfloaty35 · 11/08/2010 21:38

Hi all, been mad busy so not had time to get on.Will molest DH this eve as he leaving tomorrow and will be away til September. Its still abit early in my cycle though.
I am going abroard for 3days with him...but its not til Monday Angry so will probably be too late in my cycle by then. Am beginning to think i need to chain him to the bed for a month or im never gonna get pregnant .

lateatwork · 11/08/2010 22:14

o'tom no symptoms here and around 7 dpo so not my month (again... deep feeling sorry for me sigh...)... will hang on in til i test next week but dont feel the slightest bit pregnant... and having been pregnant 4 times, i think i kinda know by now... would be happy to be proven wrong though Grin

blimey i am getting over and tired of this stuff. we have been trying now for over a year and had 2 mc and and and (slinks quietly away from the laptop and fills mouth with chocolate...)

Wombat33 · 11/08/2010 22:42

My poor confused brain is imagining symptoms like crazy here tonight: heavy boobs, sore lower back... It's still WAY too early though, and might even be early AF signs. TBH I've never paid enough attention before to notice how early they start.

omnomnomtom · 11/08/2010 23:05

lateatwork so sorry you are having a tough time, especially your two mc Sad hang in there- hope you get your BFP soon x and no symptoms doesn't have to mean no pregnancy- am keeping fingers crossed for you

wombat it's easy to get carried away with the symptom spotting isn't it? Lets hope it is early pg symptoms

Lobyd · 12/08/2010 09:42

Hi all, hope this month is your month!
I'm just starting the 2ww but off on holiday on Saturday so will have plenty to distract me from mad symptom spotting...

Hope to return to some good news - I will find out either way while abroad, but will deinfitely check in to see how you're all getting on...fingers crossed!

Lib76 · 12/08/2010 10:14

hi! can someone take me off the list? AF STILL not here and i am going insane! will hop back on when she appears and chat. Smile

zinnia · 12/08/2010 10:50

Hi Lib, been wondering how you were getting on! How incredibly annoying for you. Will remove you from list for now, hope it's not too long till you're back on board though.

Sooo, CD14 already, apparently not OV'd yet (not according to First Response, anyway - FF begs to differ). Suspect this means it will be a looong cycle this month :(.

kiwidreamer · 12/08/2010 12:47

Okay I need an 'ovulation expert'!! If I had EWCM yest and today does that mean I've OV'd or am due to very soon?

DH and I have been SWIing Sun/Mon/Tues but it didnt work out last night - am actually gutted as I knew things were happening in the OV dept but DH was too tired, how many fricken times have I put out even when being dead tired over the past year and he couldnt manage it this once GRRRRR - so now I'm in a bit of a mood with him and wondering if I can wallow in my mood or if I should shrug it off cos sex might still be useful in the baby making dept!!!

I'm having flash backs of that FRIENDS episode where Monica tricks Chandler into thinking she is over their fight so they can have 'make up sex' but turns out she is still peeved at him but just wanted his 'goods' as it was the right time for baby making.

Anyone else find the SWI obligation a bit unsexy Confused

saffronbun · 12/08/2010 13:32

Yup, it's deeply unsexy Grin

I got quite agitated about not SWI-ing on the right days last month. All that happened was that I quietly fumed and got majorly stressed about it and it still didn't happen because he didn't get any less tired just because I was cross.

So all I can suggest is; relax and let it go. If you did the deed on Tuesday then there are most likely still swimmers lurking around and if he's feeling perkier tonight then go for it again but above all, no point in wallowing in mood as that way, there will be no SWI at all!

Good luck Wink

digitalgirl · 12/08/2010 15:12

kiwi every other day is fine. Some actually recommend it as it gives sperm a chance to replenish.
Deep breaths, think sexy thoughts, and seduce your dh.

sloathy · 12/08/2010 20:48

I feel symptom ridden, sore boobs, lots of weird looking veins appearing and feeling pretty sick... but I had the same symptoms during my luteal phase for the last 3 months.

The first month I was actually pg (mc at 5 weeks) so assumed they were pregnancy symptoms. Then I got the same symptoms the next month and got very excited about being pg again - but wasn't and now I have them this month too. I think I must just be one of those people that reacts to the dominant hormones in the luteal phase (progesterone?) or maybe I have some kind of inbalance. But either way - its pretty damn annoying!

I think being on the pill for so long masks your natural cycle and PMT symptoms so much that you can get quite a shock when you come off it and realise how you would have been feeling every month for all those years!

rosieroseanna · 12/08/2010 21:14

Please can I join? I have just got back from holiday where I was convinced I was pg as my last cycle was 25 days then this one was 28 before I came on and I had spotting for a few days! anyway I've added myself to the bottom (wavinf baby dust everywhere).

Oooh CD21 and am with you wombat also have heavy boobs Grin

Do feel different from pre ovulation etc bt dont know if its my mind running away with me lol

Ovulated a little earlier this month CD14 but even sknow its a bit early for symptoms ha ha

lolaclare · 13/08/2010 07:06

I'm on CD22 today and warning TMI got loads of milky white discharge yesterday. Have googled and apparently this could be leukorrhea - a very early sign of pregnancy.

Boobs are still sore but not as sore as they were a few days ago. Still feeling like I have a very empty stomach all the time even when I've just eaten.

Cracked and POAS this morning and got a BFN but I know it probably wouldn't show on a test at this point anyway so I don't really know what I thought I was doing.

My ovulation predictor tests arrived in the post and I've been using them all of this week just to detect if I am ovulating unusually late but have not had a line at all on them until this morning - although the line this time was very faint so technically a negative. However, have googled and apparently early pregnancy can show up on an ovulation test because it is set off by the hMG hormone too.

Hmmmm.... think I'm clutching at straws at this point - I'm just going to have to wait and POAS again when a pregnancy it is likely to show up.

Hello ladies [plonks bum down on seat]. I hear that May babies are the best.

Not posting stats yet, as AF has done a midnight flit, but I'm expecting her
any minute now and thought I'd make myself comfy. Have broungh Haribo with me Grin.

sillybillymummy · 13/08/2010 10:02

Hello Laies [shimmies on to the bus, waving at all her friends from the April bus & smiling at any newbies she doesn't recognise]

I am a may baby, and i'm 30 next May, so what a FANTASTIC present this would be?

Please add my stats as i am still feeling a bit sulky thanks to Af getting me

TTC #3 Cycle 3 UCL28 CD3

Is there a CD player on this bus? Since i can drink this weekend, thought we could put a few tunes on and throw some shapes?

delilahbelle · 13/08/2010 10:27

Hey all :)

Not been around much, weekend break and then lots of SWI Blush getting in the way of MN.

No idea when/if I OV'd, thought possibly CD10 as I had loads of EWCM before that then it all vanished. Although that could have been because I ran out of grapefruit juice. Or could be OVing today as I have some promising cramps. God knows - I missed using my OV sticks as I forgot to take them away with me, and it seems a bit late to start today!

Ah well, 2 weeks until testing...

sillybillymummy I am a May baby too, although 31 next year Shock How on earth did that happen?!
