The May Bus

I'm feeling positive about this next cycle. Due rtd tomorrow.

If it's as long as the one I'm just finishing I'll be due sometime in early May so thought I'd do the honours and polish down the bus, stack it full of champagne and nibbles and start the engine!

Who's with me?

Ugh pixieonaleaf I'm with you... it sucks sucks sucks!

Had a blardy crap day really and I'm going to rant here cos no one even remotely knows me and if they feel the need to judge it will be bad karma and lord knows we need all the good karma we can get...

SICK of doing 13hr toddler days all on my own
SICK of never having any nice things (friends are moving and have brought all new stuff and I WANT THEIR NEW LEATHER SOFA pout pout)
SICK of farking diets
SICK of toddler who throws EVERYTHING
SICK of other people getting pregnant (aforementioned friend orderd a decaf today on regular coffee date never does normally, suspect she is up the duff)
SICK of afore-aforementioned friends toddler rejecting my son and being down right mean to him at every playdate for the last month (even tho rationally I know they are both only two and its not personal!)
SICK of WAITING
SICK of farking diets
SICK of blowing my budget every month and only feeling guilty until I find something I want
SICK of this stupid blardy excuse of a summer

Argh and Grump

kiwidreamer · 19/08/2010 19:50

PrincessBoo · 19/08/2010 20:45

Rant away Kiwi - I could have written most of your list too. Fecking rain. Bah.

Thanks to you all for being so lovely about my car prang, insurance company are being mega rubbish, must keep calm...

fledtoscotland · 19/08/2010 21:00

Evening ladies. Any vienetta left from last night.

Am sort of celebrating as got a promotion at work today and now a nurse practitioner instead of a nurse. Same job just but now its recognised and i get a pay rise.

Kiwidreamer - i love the rant and know what you mean about the long days. DH left for work at 6.15am and back at 8.30pm (also in nursing).

Princessboo - glad ur ok . A car is replaceable/repairable but you arent.

lateatwork · 19/08/2010 21:19

FTS congratulations! good news about the job.

ljg72 welcome aboard.. sorry to hear about chem pregnancy. thats a bummer.

AF on her way... but did calculate if she arrives on time new EDD will be May 31 so will still be on this bus.. Smile

LittleMilla · 19/08/2010 21:53

Hello, been dithering on when to jump in on this...and travelling back from yet another work trip, knackered, depressed with PMT, and depressed at what that means, I've decided that now is the time to take the plunge.

Desperately trying to get with the lingo...sort of feels like I'm earwigging teenagers' street language. but here goes:

TTC#1 cycle 4 (I know, get a farking grip!) and UCL is 28. No idea what the last thingy means.

BTW, I am 29 fit healthy, but certainly drink too much wine. DH is wonderful...but I have convinced myself that between us something will be wrong. We both work a bit too hard...which I don't think is necessarily condusive to babies. But keep on saying that people that abuse their bodies manage it...so surely it can't be that hard! Sorry, unfair thing to say, but you catch my drift.

Sorry, long guff-filled first post. Hi, hi - hope there's room for a small one...

fledtoscotland · 19/08/2010 22:01

Hi littlemilla - grab a seat. Theres chocolate, crisps and the remains of last night '70s dessert trolley coming round (plus im having another sneaky glass of vino as im celebrating).

Am on my phone but one of the more techy people on a laptop will add you to the stats.

digitalgirl · 19/08/2010 22:05

Welcome littlemilla, perhaps you'll be one of those lucky ladies who hops on board only to leave a few days later with a bfp.

Halfway through the 2ww. God I bloody hate it too. Spend the first half wishing the days away then the second half trying not to read into every little twinge and sitting on my hands so I don't test. (didn't work last cycle - got too many bfn's to count).

So, who's testing next?

OP posts:
LittleMilla · 19/08/2010 22:11

Hmmm, I am so rediculously impatient I don't know why I even considered this! Next up is the old sticky things so that I don't have to keep on relying on the dodgy calculators. Think I might test tomorrow though.

Having had a coil for a few years (odd reactions to lots of pills) I'd naiively assumed I'd get pg STRAIGHT away. What a nob!? Ha.

I've had twinges and pains since last week and period (what's the MN letters for that?) is due on Sat. I'm pretty renowned for marathon sleeping, but feel utterly knackered too.

Soooo, secretly hoping that this all means I am pg. But depression and suicidal thoughts (well, mild thoughts!) is making me think it's ruddy peewee. Ah well.

LittleMilla · 19/08/2010 22:13

p.s. thank you digitalgirl and fledtoscotland for kind welcome words. Already feeling oddly better - certainly cathartic to know that others are in same boat/bus.

Prinpo · 20/08/2010 00:04

Welcome to everyone who's just hopped on. Shall henceforth be using 'farking' at every farking opportunity Smile.

Princess, Sad, hope you're ok.

Wombat, black forest gateau making it's way down to you.

ljg, so sorry to hear about chemical pregnancy. That's really lousy. It's such a loss, whatever stage it happens at.

Fathead, Shock Blush Grin. In his defence (why am I defending him?), I do believe that the menfolk can find this whole ttc thing difficult. It can be a bit of an affront to their manhood to realise that sometimes we only want them for their man juice and not their animal magnetism. Overthepond, on that same note, I'd definitely go for the whole "I'm so frisky because you're so hot" approach this month. It's a tried and tested method on these buses and an extensive cost-benefit analysis has demonstrated that it gets results.

Kiwi, glad you ranted. Does you good once in a while.

Up late tonight. Collecting DH at 1.45am from station 18 miles away (MIL here to babysit) after a drunken night out in London. How nice am I? Feel major brownie points accruing...

Eeek! Just POAS and I think I can see a very very faint line. Shock
Managed to catch DH when he was half way out of the door to work and he had a good look at it in the light and agreed that there was definitely a faint line there...
Won't be getting my hopes up yet as it is SO faint. But I've got a couple of Clear Blue digital tests due to arrive on Sunday with my internet Asda groceries so will retest then and hopefully confirm it. Smile

kiwidreamer · 20/08/2010 08:07

waves to all the newbies, welcome aboard please avail yourself of all the treats and settle yourselves down for the ride :)

lolaclare Yay for lovely wee lines (bahahaha me so funny), hope its a sticky one for you!!!

Forums are so fab, its so good to have an avenue for the obession general interest of TTC without showing DH quite how mad I really am!

Prinpo I think you win Wife of the Week for collecting your DH in the middle of the night after being out having grown up fun with out you!

Okay best go sort myself out while I have the window of quiet that is 'Mickey Mouse Clubhouse'!!!

lolaclare · 20/08/2010 08:13

kiwidreamer thanks - I'm keeping my FC

You're right about this forum being a good outlet for our crazy obessiveness! If my DH knew how much thought I had put into the TTC process, I think he might have been scared off! A couple of days ago I mentioned TTC about 3 times in one evening and he said I was being ridiculous so I dread to think what he would say if he knew I was reading TTC forums all day at work! Blush

LittleMilla let us know when you get to the first day of your next cycle and whoever does the list next can update your stats.

Several passengers at the front look like they might be coming up for testing - here's hoping for some more graduates over the weekend...

zinnia · 20/08/2010 09:16

meant to add...

lgj so sorry, that's gut-wrenching for you.

and lolaclare hooray - and I admire your patience for waiting till Sunday for another test!

LittleMilla · 20/08/2010 09:35

Zinia - AF is due tomorrow, so that puts me on CD27. I think.

Just been on the old symptom spotting thread, which probably isn't the best thing for me!

Had something akin to kidney pains for about two weeks now. Wrote it off as drinking too much one night (!), but had it quite steadily since.

I managed to stop AF coming through stress a couple of months ago, so I need to chill.

Anyone else have guilt toward their DH/DP? He is trying his hardest to be sympathetic (even speaking to other people's DHs who have just had babies to find out how long it takes), but says he hates seeing me so stressed. Blush

Think I'll test on Sunday. Anyone else doing it then??
