It's been asked if we can post winners' details on the site and there are a lot of winners announced today, so without further ado: -
Hearty congratulations to Blueberrypancake - you've won a Kanzi Home chandelier

Fabulous felicitations to MrsWeasley and FilthyMindedVixen - you've won a place for your child on the Hamley's Board of Children

Thanks also to all of you who completed our surveys this summer and in particular, well done to lummox and sammac who've both won Kombi Karts for filling in the marketing survey.

And last but not least, congratultions also go to snowcat who's won some fab Neal's Yard goodies for completing the Soil Association survey.

If you're not one of this week's lucky winners, don't be disheartened, there are some brilliant competitions coming up, and we'll even widen the entry criteria too.

Thanks
MNHQ

IllegallyBrunette · 29/12/2008 10:41

Hi Alexia, do you know wether the build a bear vouchers have to be spent on high school musical stuff ??

I recieved the vouchers today with a short note, but it doesn't say if they have to be spent on hsm stuff or if you can use more than one voucher per person.

My dc are dying to go and spend them but I can't see ds wanting hsm stuff.

lionheart · 29/12/2008 10:47

No sign of the Nintendo DS here either, although maybe it will take more time, what with Christmas and all.

AlexiaMumsnet · 29/12/2008 16:57

Hi IllegallyBrunette I would have thought that you can spend them on anything at Build-A-Bear Workshop...do the voucher make reference to HSM? If not then I would presume it can indeed be spent on anything, I'll drop them an email just to confirm.

Did you receive a party as well?

AlexiaMumsnet · 29/12/2008 16:58

Hmmm I had hoped the DS games etc would have arrived a long time before this...i'll chase these again

Thanks for letting me know

lionheart · 29/12/2008 17:00

Thanks Alexia.

IllegallyBrunette · 29/12/2008 18:04

Thanks Alexia, it was ok you could spend them on anything, we took them with us shopping and asked.

Tbh I think the party was something you just organised yourself and then gave each guest a voucher. There was no mention of anything else in with the vouchers.

In the end I rather greedily let my 3 spend them all . They all had a bear, and outfit and were absolutly thrilled.

Thanks MN

AlistairSim · 29/12/2008 18:45

Blardy hell.

Really??

HallelujahHeisBorntoMary · 29/12/2008 18:48

I've not heard anything about my itax prize either...

IllegallyBrunette · 29/12/2008 19:07

Was the blardy hell to me ??

The reason i let my 3 spend them was because if I had taken 5 children as the prize stated, then that wouldn't have been enough for a bear and an outift each so i'd of then had to have told guest children to bring extra money with them to buy an outift, plus pay for mine to have an outfit too.

Also I don't drive so there would of been the problem of how to get all 5 children to the shop without me losing one.

AlistairSim · 29/12/2008 19:10

God, no!

Sorry.

It was a reaction to me winning something.

IllegallyBrunette · 29/12/2008 19:12

ROFL, oh well, nevermind then

Congrats on the bedroom makeover

EustaciaVye · 29/12/2008 20:21

Hi Alexia,

I was very lucky to win the Barbie Diamond Castle prize ages ago. I gave them the DVD straight away and I saved the dolls & flying horse for DDs for Christmas. They were thrilled. (as was I as it saved me loads of £).

Only problem was that when we opened them, one of the dolls had a broken crown. And the other one's batteries had run out, When we finally got to a shop to find the little tiny circle batteries we have found that the doll only sings one song instead of the two she is meant to. Not a huge problem but it means it is a bit hard to co-ordinate the 2 dolls to sing together

Not posting this to moan, or to expect you to do anything, but I just felt you should know really. Perhaps the sponsors should check the products before they send them out.

AlexiaMumsnet · 29/12/2008 21:07

EustaciaVye - oh that's not nearly good enough, let me just send them a really kind email explaining the situation, this is rather disappointing, i'm sure it was a mistake and i'll just see if they are able to send you new dolls...thanks for posting this

AlexiaMumsnet · 29/12/2008 21:08

HallelujahHeisBorntoMary - sorry you've not received this yet,I have chased for this, but they are out of office until 5th Jan, i'll give them a call next week though if they don;t response on monday

hunkermunker · 29/12/2008 21:09

Are there any competitions where people win their prizes, their prizes arrive swiftly and everyone's happy? Alexia, you must want to cut your head off at times! You have the patience of a saint! Maybe invest in a Rottweiler in the NY?

EustaciaVye · 29/12/2008 21:17

Thanks Alexia. Just to clarify though, I no longer have any of the packaging as it got lost in the Christmas chaos.

Out of interest do you have service levels in place with your sponsors? For example, winner will be contacted within x days, item will be despatched within x days etc. You seem to be forever chasing the sponsors which must be a drain on MN resources.

And why are you working on a Monday evening?

Pinkjennybellrock · 30/12/2008 10:25

Alexia - I have emailed you. I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but I have won the £500 Blossom Mother and Child vouchers.

Erm, I'm not pregnant, and dd is too old for their clothes. I have called them to see if they do a non-maternity range, and they do a limited collection, however it is not available on line, and I live in Liverpool. As their stores are in London, I can't get down there to spend my vouchers on their non-maternity stuff!

I know I do sound really ungrateful. Soz. What can I do????????

[whining emoticon]

Pinkjennybellrock · 30/12/2008 10:39

I mean, obviously, if I have to have them, I will.

Because I never win anything!

AlexiaMumsnet · 30/12/2008 16:43

hunkermunker - don't tempt me with such wonderful ideas... I think i'll run Christmas competitions in June next year, that should leave plenty of time for them to arrive!

AlexiaMumsnet · 30/12/2008 17:01

hi EustaciaVye funny you should ask as the last couple of weeks i had thought of that wonderful idea. I think i'll put it into the guidelines for next year! Whether is all runs more smoothly is another story!

Hopefully the packaging wont be a problem, besides it would have been all ripped open anyway!

And yes...why am was i working on a Mon evening
