I was very pleased to receive an e-mail last Thurs from Shade in your office saying I had won the competition for a family camping ticket to the Wilderness Festival in Oxfordshire next weekend. At the time I explained to Shade that we would love to go but the results of the comp came out so late that we already had plans for next weekend which I would have to try and change. Sadly I cannot change my plans and the friend I had thought I could pass the tickets on to is now not available either.

Please, please can you reallocate the prize so the tickets don't go to waste? They are to be picked up at the gate so no need to worry about allowing postage time. I know it is short notice but there must be competition entrants, or people reading this thread, who could drop everything and go. I do hope so.

Asparagus how did you find out about picking the tickets up ? I am still waiting to hear anything regards wilderness and am worried it is getting so short notice to make plans.

Are there closing dates on the comps that I'm not spotting? I had no idea the Lollibop draw would be so close to the event (not that I won ). What if the winners needed to book accomodation or time off work? It would really only have been possible to go if you lived in the London area .

So...
a) why are these comps being drawn so late?
b) please could you display a closing date (or if you are, make it more visible!) so that we can make a judgement as to whether or not it's sensible to enter?
