fimbo, Greenwich - the property prices reflect it, lol. Point Hill is a very good location for Greenwich. Also, Greenwich is within walking distance of Blackheath, for that posh villagy feel.

EachPeachPearMum · 27/03/2008 12:30

Fimbo · 27/03/2008 12:31

Its gorgeous isn't it? The whole Point Hill/Gloucester Circus area just does it for me. I love it.

Fimbo · 27/03/2008 12:33

We live in Norfolk, dh could commute, what do you think?

blueshoes · 27/03/2008 12:34

yes, shooters hill road is a pretty busy road. I think the location is just on the fringes of acceptable, being on the right side of shooters hill. The property is set far back and has a large enough front garden/driveway to be shielded. Lovely inside.

blueshoes · 27/03/2008 12:35

fimbo, gloucester circus, now we are talking! With your dh's millions, he can have 2 properties, the townhouse and the bolthole

Fimbo · 27/03/2008 12:41

Oh yes. Actually there is a property on Rightmove at the moment on Gloucester Circus but there is only a pic of the inside.

Why is life so unfair

I live in London and we were thinking of doing a house swap - when are you wanting to come? I live in Stoke Newington - a pretty trendy part of London, near lots of nice restaurants, shops, parks - very child-orientated. We have a two bedroom flat - with large open plan front room kitchen - very modern flat. We also have a sofa bed in the front room

nailpolish · 27/03/2008 15:52

The Landmark Trust has some very central London properties. Also try The King's Wardrobe for short let (a night, a week, whatever) flats by St Paul's cathedral- v good quality. Have tried them and can heatily recommend.

janx · 27/03/2008 16:39

Thats a shame nailpolish - does anyone else fancy a house/flat swap?

TantieTowie · 03/10/2008 10:27

Months later, but Janx if you're still in the market for a house swap at some point we could be interested - we have a two-bedroom house close to central Bristol, 10 mins from Temple Meads, 5 mins from parks, shops, on a picturesque road etc.
Used to live in London, have friends in Stoke Newington and indeed across North London, but always easier to have your own space when you have a 21-month-old.
