They should arrive with today's post.

So tired today I didn't sleep very well at all last night

Gilead · 18/09/2021 14:59

I’m having a lazy day, crochet, Netflix and tiny tasks. Pain is there but I’m not crying. That’ll do.

Hope everyone is having a decent weekend. 💐

Akire · 18/09/2021 16:19

Snap crochet and watching rubbish v lazy day and not crying. Heat and cold packs on various parts.

Fucked of with the sleep situation. Apologies for the bad language but I'm getting to the beyond angry point with myself now.
Me very thing was so much better with the increased meds but that last couple of nights have been horrendous.

I don't know how many lot nights I can lay there in the early hours in tears with the pain.

Sorry for depressing post x

cricketmum84 · 18/09/2021 19:00

Also sorry for typos. Pain and numbness in my fingers doesn't help with typing x

Akire · 18/09/2021 19:10

It’s ok we all now how that goes. Especially cruel when meds gave you fleeting magic pass then gets all messed up. Xx

Akire · 18/09/2021 21:26

Hope everyone gets some sleep tonight. I’ve got really sore jaw pain for no good reason. Just when you think there isn’t a body sort that doesn’t hurt, up pops one and does a na na na na na dance. Hoping it’s a 24h wonder as can’t face trying get dentist appointment. Will check in if I’m up in the night. Good luck troops

Thanks my lovelies. Just having a really bad few days. You know when the pain is so bad that you actually shout out when you get that stabbing/shooting pain?

Trying to kill it with gin.

Akire · 18/09/2021 22:01

Can’t blame us all for turning to drink it’s freely available always does something even if makes you drunk and you just care less about the pain! Been joining with hip pain and nerve pain shooting up from foot. Luckily no one to scare with my shouting.

@Akire poor DH keeps asking if I'm ok. I know he feels so helpless because there is nothing he can do.

On the plus side I suppose I did manage to get out in the back garden with his help and my frame rather than chair. He was amazing and held me up so much.

Can't even imagine how we would have coped if this happened 2 years ago when i was 12 stone heavier! He reckons in light as a feather now lol 😂

cricketmum84 · 18/09/2021 22:15

Oh and @Akire I had a dodgy tooth pain yesterday and started to get a bit panicky Cos I'm am petrified of the dentist but it's fine today. Keeping everything crossed it's the same for you!!

Akire · 18/09/2021 22:25

Still can’t believe you lost that much! Amazing and great timing as well like you say or else you be really stuck. It feels more like jaw pain joint (whatever it’s called) than tooth. But guess chewing made all hurt more. Not that few days liquid diet will do me any harm lol

They make me feel good. I feel so strange without them now. I'm just glad I can do my own or I'd be spending a fortune on them

Gilead · 19/09/2021 05:00

Slept from half one ish to three. I am peed off! Oh, and strangely, I’m tired!

sweetkitty · 19/09/2021 10:54

Re periods. I’ve been on Cerazette for years as I have painful periods too and it’s just one thing less to deal with when you have chronic pain isn’t it?!! It was brilliant for years no PMT/no heavy painful periods. Would totally recommend it. But last few months I’ve started having horrible week long periods again and breakthrough bleeding inbetween. Don’t know what’s going on Sad I’m 46 peri-menopause? Suppose I should talk to the GP but it’s so so difficult to get an appointment just now.

Was at the dentists too, he couldn’t even get a plate in my mouth to get an impression for a mouth guard so he was going to refer me to a dental hospital in Glasgow but that could take months. I asked about going private as I can’t go on for months like this it’s so painful. It’s either going to be Botox injections or hypnotherapy as it’s stress related (grinding teeth leading to jaw pain).

Then I saw the chiropractor and I’m getting fed up with him too, £37 for 15 minutes it helps a bit but not much told it’s stress again. You could draw a line down the right side of my body from my head, neck shoulders, back, pelvis and hips. Only dihydrocodeine takes the edge off.

I know I have to relieve the stress I’ve tried yoga and mediation but it’s not like you can click a switch relieve stress cure fibromyalgia is it? Sorry for the rant I’m just fed up with it all as I know we all are, doesn’t help when you mention Botox work colleagues immediately accuse you of getting it for your wrinkles!!

Akire · 19/09/2021 12:05

It did make my last period less horrible if that’s as good as it gets it’s an improvement on 7 days pre period full on cramps and then 7 days of flooding. Roll I’ll menopause which will no doubt bring more nasty horrid painful things and can’t take HRT!

Bad night last night for me, sometimes I seem to get stuck in one position and I wake up in pain and find it difficult to move. Last night I got stuck and really just couldn’t seem to move for ages even though I felt I needed to take some painkillers.

Felt awful this morning and as though I had pulled a muscle in my groin with the effort of turning in bed.

cricketmum84 · 20/09/2021 08:21

Happy Monday!

Bit better sleep last night although the nerve pain is still kicking my arse! For the others on here with specific nerve pain what meds are you on? I don't think amitryptaline is working for me unfortunately. Tried gabapentin but had awful side effects.

Hope all had a better night and ready for the week ahead.

languagelover96 · 20/09/2021 09:35

I had bad foot pain last night. Waiting for a call back from a doctor about my symptoms.

Akire · 20/09/2021 13:19

Happy Monday all or not so happy but it’s Monday again to everyone else.

I tried amitrptine but felt so spaced out only lasted 3 days. Didn’t feel safe with it on my own but I have long resigned self to strange side effects. Have this rubbish with chemist who insist on me coming back after 2 weeks with new meds to see how getting on. Me return after 2 weeks state side effects (on leaflet in box) get told that is not side effect of the drug and can’t possible have it. Have long since given up on pharmacist.

One last week told me no one sells inhalers spares… yes plenty do. That could be difference ending up in hospital or not.

Managed to some tidying in flat so progress.

I've just done 14 hours straight of payroll without a break and I think my brain just fell out of my ear 😂😂😂

Gilead · 20/09/2021 21:01

Does anyone have experience of acupuncture. Sort of mulling it over, but pricey for no effect.
Still not sleeping and amitriptyline hasn’t come through yet. Grrr
As for losing 12 stone @cricketmum84, I admire you. All advice gratefully received, bloody steroids!
