Rum truffles

Mince pies. Cranberry juice and fizzy water, with orange slices. Easy for him to mix at work and non-alcoholic, so okay for work.

TipsyFairydifferentID · 14/12/2008 20:36

how about these?

How about icing some holly or something onto the cake?

Mince pies are really easy. You can even cheat with ready made pastry and ready made mincemeat. If I use bought mincemeat I like to add a grated apple, some orange rind and a good slug of brandy to it; maybe some chopped dried apricots too. It stops it being too sweet and cloying.

olive pinwheels - roll out puff pastry, spread with olive paste and the roll up, slice and cook for (20mins) a period of time!!

Cheese straws

mince pies.

Mince pies are great!

My dh "volunteered" me to make mince pies last year.

DH.."Oh about 60 should be enough".

Me..

Afterwards..."the blokes loved 'em, Dave ate 6!"

Nice to be appreciated.

Chocolate log shouldn't be too hard. Just cover it with lots of chocolate butter cream.

Buy some mini fairy cake cases and make little chocolate fairy cakes (add a bit of cinammon to make them christmassy)

TipsyFairydifferentID · 14/12/2008 20:48

its because you need completely straight sides for them to like puds I think and cake cases are crimped? It means you have 2 strips of paper and criss cross them in the hole.

Yes 60

Did get rather sick of rolling out pastry by the end of it.

I made some cranberry & white choc cookies for the DCs on Friday - which are very easy to make. DH took one bite and asked me to make a batch for his office too. The recipe makes 40-odd cookies (although Nigella reckons less). It is in Nigella's Christmas but let me know if you want the recipe

Sausage rolls are always popular with blokes.

My DH has just taken in a box of M&S chocolate biscuits for workmates.
