Go on emkana, I'll share my shame, just need to add it up...

emkana · 08/12/2008 22:46

Well it's more than a £100 each.

Spill...

MincePirate · 08/12/2008 22:47

i am a bit lacking in the cash dept, but have spent about £80 in total on my dd6. Bits and bobs do add up. This is for her santa sack of gifts and one £25 main gift.

TheMoistWorldOfSeptimusQuench · 08/12/2008 22:47

Me too, Emkana

I'm an idiot. Every fecking year I swear I won't do it again

I haven't even counted the small stocking presents...

In my defence on the list there is a bean bag each and a lampshade each which they were supposed to get anyway for their recently done up rooms.

oh go on it's all relative ( i think!)

thritbies · 08/12/2008 22:51

Yep me too, I really shouldnt try and buy bit by bit as I forget what have got! Mine is possibly just under £100 each but not inc stocking fillers, one of which was a tenner

BreevandercampLGJ · 08/12/2008 22:56

£111 roughly speaking....

Have just asked a colleague to buy him a stocking filler, that I got caught buying him at the weekend.

I produced the said disco glide ball yesterday evening as treat for being good all weekend.

FC is going to bring another one, on the basis I would never duplicate..

Can you tell he is 7.5 and I feel vaguely sick that this might be our last year.

DaidiNaNollag · 08/12/2008 23:05

Bree, if it's any help, ds2 is 10 and still a believer!

BreevandercampLGJ · 08/12/2008 23:08

Gra mó chroi thu.

MincePirate · 08/12/2008 23:14

lol and i am highly impressed at the cannyness of the disco glide ball repetition (goes to google it as sounds like fun)

Here

NorthernLurkerwithastarontop · 08/12/2008 23:20

Big mistake to add it up! I never do. It's not that much - one present around £30 (ok £40) an outfit and then stocking stuff - some of which is very, very cheap - but it's not that little either. I think i'm happier not knowing!

fortyplus · 08/12/2008 23:23

I've never had a budget as such. Cost of Christmas has varied according to whatever is their heart's desire - one year ds1 had a snooker table that cost £5 from Woolies. This year he's having a laptop that cost £500 but we desperately need to avoid the fights over the desk top computer so it's a worthwhile investment. Two of them arguing over whose turn it is to do homework is no joke!

ilovemydog · 08/12/2008 23:24

Loving the disco ball!

BreevandercampLGJ · 08/12/2008 23:29

...

ilovemydog · 08/12/2008 23:33

Bree - your last year?

BreevandercampLGJ · 08/12/2008 23:37

Well Hunker and QV would tell you, he is a very switched on child.

I said to him last week, I am delighted for you, now can you please get in the car, he replied in a very manner of fact reply of ........Now you are just being sarcastic.....

He wasn't being cheeky just factual, IYKWIM

ilovemydog · 08/12/2008 23:42

Oh, his last year as a believer, not his last year on earth!

BreevandercampLGJ · 08/12/2008 23:47

Yes, his last year as believer, I may be wrong but I have to say it feels horrible.

WilyWombat · 08/12/2008 23:51

Im on about £120 each but I have no excuse as its all on a spreadsheet and im sure I will find things ive forgotten ive bought in the cupboard
