Ok, have agreed to a £5 Christmas - now what on Earth can I get everyone?!

Right, this does not apply to dcs or dh, just everyone else. We have agreed as an extended family to spend a maximum of £5 on everyone. So, now it's getting competitive.

There can be no cheating as proof may be required. The £5 must include things like delivery charges.

My plan is to make some little stockings out of old curtains and fill them with lots of little things. Does anyone have any good website recommendations for cheap but nice gifts?

I need all sorts, things for young men, old ladies, and everything in between (no teenagers, but lots of 2-6 year olds).

All help welcome

Wilkinsons do nice cheap little things. just to save you looking!!

Norksinmywaistband · 17/11/2008 12:52

I think Mulled wine spice bags attatched to a cheap bottle of red is nice for men. If you make your own it costs about 40p plus the cost of the wine.

other than that looking on websites with clearance section is good, especially if you can have it delivered to store as no delivery cost incurred.

for the youngsters think party bag, book( can get job lot off the book people) bubbles, choc, etc

Old ladies - soap, tights, hankies

Young men - bottle of beer/miniture of spirits, golf balls, football socks,

I am full of ideas for cheap pressies

www.play.com have lots of dvds for 4.99 including postage and books for this price and under too.

Yellow moon - something like www.yellowmoon.com - has lots of small cheap arty crafty activities for children, and lots of stocking filler toys.

Book people for packs of 10 books for £10. Adult fiction as well as children's books.

slayerette · 17/11/2008 12:57

Hawkin's Bazaar has lots of quirky fun stocking fillers quite reasonably priced - lots of retro stuff that adults will like!
