dp just informed me last night that several weeks ago he went halfer with his friend on a pig. aparently they're fattening it up for xmas WTF

aGalChangedHerName · 04/10/2008 09:10

We are going to our local yummy Indian. So much cheaper than us hosting Christmas dinner for all the family!!

SaintRiven · 04/10/2008 09:12

my mother has invited herself over and insists she wants raost potatoes, roast sqaush, broccolli, peas, nut roast and gravy. Apparentleeeee.
I'd of been happy with pasta or baled beans on toast and so would the kids.

aGalChangedHerName · 04/10/2008 09:19

Riven why not ask her to cook it all and you can put your feet up? I wouldn't mind someone doing that for me. Call it a Christmas present? lol

Monkeytrousers · 04/10/2008 09:20

Probably a pot noodle. On my own.

aGalChangedHerName · 04/10/2008 09:22

Monkeytrousers you are joking aren't you?

bellavita · 04/10/2008 09:25

awww Monkeytrousers

Monkeytrousers · 04/10/2008 09:29

Probably not. Ex-dp is being such a twat I probably won't be invited to the family dinner. DS will go but I'm positive he will say I no longer belong there.

And I would rather be hung over hot coals than endure am xmas dinner with what's left of my family.

aGalChangedHerName · 04/10/2008 09:32

Oh god that's shit!! Can your ex not let you have ds for Christmas day?

What a twatty ex

onlyjoking9329 · 04/10/2008 09:32

we will be rewritting Christmas rules this year, I need to change our usual traditions I think, so this year me and the kids will be going somewhere hot for Christmas where we can escape the in laws

bellavita · 04/10/2008 09:32

What about your side of the family (if you don't mind me asking)

Monkeytrousers · 04/10/2008 09:37

Oh no! I don't want to hijack the thread with my moaning!

It's not written in stone - I just kicked dp out though and he is ferocioulsy angry and lashing at me at the mo. I am very close to his family though so I know they wouldn't approve of him trying to exclude me. But, a bit like OJ, gonna have to come up with strategies to deal with the arkwardness of the seperation over the holidays.

My family are just a like the Shameless lot, without the entertainment factor. They will be aguring over who frank all the Thunderbird anf ate all the quavers by 10am

aGalChangedHerName · 04/10/2008 09:37

Sounds like a plan OJ lol

Have thankfully only had to spend one Christmas with my in-laws and that was enough.

Monkeytrousers · 04/10/2008 09:38

God, how to mess up a good gag...aguring over who drank all the Thunderbird and ate all the quavers by 10am

aGalChangedHerName · 04/10/2008 09:39

I hope your ex's family do include you. Hate to think of anyone spending the day alone.

SaintRiven · 04/10/2008 09:40

agal - hehehe. My mums buys frozen roast potatoes

bellavita · 04/10/2008 09:41

OJ - sounds like a good idea any room for me in your suitcase?

Monkeytrousers - I hope you get something sorted.

SaintRiven · 04/10/2008 09:41

come here monkeytrousers. You can dilute my mother

aGalChangedHerName · 04/10/2008 09:46

Hey there's an offer for you MT lol

You could make proper roasties for Riven?

EnchantedWithEdwardCullen · 04/10/2008 09:52

My placenta, I think

Seriosly though, am worried about christmas dinner this year, am either going to be ready to pop (with bad SPD), in labour or have a brand new baby.

Might be beans on toast!

Monkeytrousers · 04/10/2008 09:55

oh, with a sprinkling of rosemary. yum!

SaintRiven · 04/10/2008 09:57

Cullen -ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
Go into labour Xmas Eve then the hospital sorts your dinner out

aGalChangedHerName · 04/10/2008 10:00

I always do dinner for around 16 people, but last year we decided to go to the Indian along the road.

It costs me a fortune for food and booze on Xmas and Boxing Day.

So i'm not doing it anymore

Feels great!!

ChopsTheDuck · 04/10/2008 10:00

guinea fowl maybe or venison joint.

I want something nice, not boring chicken again. Don't like turkey.

EnchantedWithEdwardCullen · 04/10/2008 12:04

No chance riven .. Im having a homebirth!
