Christmas gift ideas & bargains for a 16 year old girl who likes popular branded essentials

I managed to get all of the gifts for my daughter from a thread like this last year so hoping for ideas again. She never knows what she wants but always loves the expensive popular stuff eg. Longchamp bag, Owala Water bottle, Hollister Clothes etc. but what are those essentials this year ? with a December birthday too it's quite tricky

Uggs still very popular here. DD (16) got some minis last year and just bought some longer ones on Vinted.

Jackets/cardies/hoodies with fur trimmed hoods - there's a cropped Hollister one that DD is eyeing up but also Superdry and Bench versions

Agree with Birkenstock clogs
low-waisted jeans - flares but am starting to see boots tucked in again so wonder whether skinnies will be making a comeback

My daughter has also just asked for another pair of Adidas Sambas, even though she has a pair! UGGs and Sambas are her favourite footwear.

I don't know what colour to go for with the Sambas. The pair she currently has are white with black stripes, so fit to any outfit, but it would be silly to get the same colour again.

Yes I forgot digital camera, mine asked for one after GCSEs.

@XelaM mine has green Sambas, niche but work surprisingly well. She also has navy pumas which are more versatile.

Lots of people using Longchamp as their school bag here @chillyputsomesockson (y12, London) but also some using the Urban Outfitters bag mentioned above.

@Suddenslip my 14 year old had the no brand Sephora one last year which was good but I think the ASOS one was better for a similar price, which I think my eldest had. They did a bit of swapping.

Charlotte Tilbury seems to be the more coveted one but more pricey and only 12 days.

Longchamp - don’t think put at all - my very ‘on trend’ fashion loving nearly 17 year old uses one as a school bag as do most of her mates so very much still on trend in leafy Hampshire 😀

other brands to mention that she loves at the moment (although expensive!) are Alo, Eme Studio’s, orelia (rushing - will post more later)

Just placemaking for my nearly 16 year old and she also has a birthday just after Christmas.

Last year the Longchamp in Navy was a hit and she’s actually asked for another one in a Mushroom colour, along with a Coach bag as well!

She liked Prada Paradox and Miss Dior last year and all the makeup! She seems to have figured out now what suits her skin rather than just asking for what’s on tick-tock!

This year her list has Subdued, Urban Outfitters, Hollister clothing, cosmetics and toiletries Medicube & Kiko - she got some lip glosses in the summer in Italy that were engraved with her name so I’m not sure if they’ll do them over here.

@ranoutofquinoaandprosecco Kiko do engraving in their Dublin shop for 1 euro so I would imagine they engrave in the UK branches.

Mine is eyeing up Kayali perfume (she stole the one from my Sephora advent calendar last year), Lancome Vanilla Nude perfume, yet more Laneige / Summer Fridays /Glossier stuff, Hollister clothes and a digital camera.

And Lego and Jellycats… she still seems to love both of those.

Bag wise she’s still using her battered Nike one for sixth form, but she’s had overnight bags / a case as presents recently. New school bag is a good shout

In addition to my previous post, my nearly 17 year old also likes Tom’s Trunks, Bijoux de Mimi, Free People, Subdued, Babble and Goose, Minka Dink, Skims….

My daughter's favourite clothes brands are Hollister (I think she could literally buy everything in there), Subdued and Ralph Lauren. Footwear - UGGs, Sambas, Birkenstocks although she also said flat ballet pumps were in apparently 🤷‍♀️ Make-up and skincare - pretty much everything that has already been mentioned above.

The gold pandoras seem to be coming back but they must be gold rather than silver. Bijou De Mimi is v popular with my DD’s friends.

Boots have a nice Ouai set on offer today. Also v popular with late teens.
