Worth checking your Very accounts if you have one. I had £30 off when spending £60 which worked on sale items so I've just bought a pile of stuff including the pink leapfrog leapstart (usually £35 alone), large bluey lego set, 2 x wwe figures, lego technic digger, football top trumps and a top for DD for £45 delivered.

Pluto356 · 03/08/2026 21:32

@WellThatsAllRightThen how do you check this?

My autistic DD7 is obsessed with cats, has anyone seen any bargains on anything a young cat lover would adore? Or any suggestions of things that are a must have to include in the gifts please?

I saw some nice ‘not too tacky’ framed cat prints in Homesense recently. Nice for bedroom wall?

Hello
Gah! Just realised it is my very hard to buy for sisters birthday in a week! She is in her forties has very expensive trendy tastes she loves luxury toiletries, shoes and handbags so all things I can’t afford! Anyone got any genius ideas ideally around £50?? Thanks 🙏

Ivalueloyaltyaboveallelse · 03/08/2026 23:33

@Slater22 try T.K.maxx there is some Rodial skincare on there which might be a nice gift idea. If not maybe something from Rituals?

The only thing I’d say about skincare is if you have a routine sometimes you don’t want to introduce new things. Could you book an experience for the 2 of you maybe, spend some time together? Afternoon tea, or something else you both enjoy? Or a nice experience for her, a massage/ facial etc?

Chanel handbag mirror. About £35, and they wrap it beautifully if you go to a counter (or ideally the shop, where they give a ton of samples).

Depending on your sisters taste there’s a few bags around £45-55 in the Michael Kors sale

I'm looking to get my youngest son a yoto mini for Christmas. I'm sure when I got my eldest one we managed to get it slightly reduced but can't remember where from or the time of year. Does anyone have any recommendations on this please?
Or when the cards go on discount too. Thanks

The best option is to use a second email account to buy it with the “refer a friend” points going to your account. Start with just a few cards though, you don’t know what they will like. The bundles are good if you want an adventure jacket etc. The membership is a good way to both buy a bunch of cards cheaply and then have temporary access to a load of content to try things out, if you can afford it. The nice thing about yoto is there’s a reasonable amount of free content, podcasts etc too.

My biggest bit of advice is not to overwhelm them. Give it with 1-2 cards maximum.

Realfastfoodie · Yesterday 09:27

@Slater22 - would the boots/cosmo box linked above £45 with the offer fit the bill?

I would probably ask on the beauty thread that someone suggested. Otherwise i'd probably stay away from anything too specific skincare wise.

The things people have suggested like a Chanel mirror, or Rituals bodycare is probably a good shout. Aspinal of London often have some smaller things in the sale like small purses/pouches that are nice. Sometimes brands that we see as being high end (like Rodial and Michael Kors) may not be high end to your sister if she has very specific tastes.

You know the old saying, "If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is"?

I'm mentioning this with that caveat, I don't know enough about them to recommend it, but I risked an order this morning.
It's Pecksniffs. There are significant bargains on their Clearance page.

It's a name I had heard of as not being cheap, and their Trustpilot reviews are good, but when I did a Google search yesterday I learned that the company went into liquidation a few years. Even so, this morning Google's AI told me "Yes, it is entirely safe and legitimate to buy from Pecksniff's."

Having said all that, there are lots of things very suitable for gifting. The clearance page has mostly hand wash, hand cream and candles, with a few other bits. Some are boxed. Most things are 70% off and I got a further 15% off with the code NEWSLETTER15.
So, I bought several different sorts of handwash at £3.82 for 500ml, and hand and body lotion at £2.55 for 250ml.

Postage is by weight -
1-5kg - £7.95
5.1-10kg - £14.95

If you live near Brighton you might try shopping in store. I rang them this morning and a very pleasant person answered. Perhaps it's worth a call to see if they have any of the clearance lines in stock.

LoveHearts69 · Yesterday 13:27

I’ll caveat this with saying I’ve not ordered from them before but I noticed Boho Moon are doing surprise goodie bags for £10. You can get 3 random necklaces/bracelets etc in either gold or silver. I’ve just ordered a couple of surprise bags so will see what they’re like and if they come suitable for gifting!

Might make a nice stocking filler for a teen though!

Hi, if anyone is near McArthur Glen in York, the Cadbury’s outlet has the large toblerones in various flavours.

They also had a giant one for £90 if anyone wants to really push the boat out!

Also at the outlet: Denby are having a clearance sale in both the proper store and a pop up. Prices start from £2 per item.

The Radley store at the outlet is closing down. They had lots of bags at very low prices. They are also selling the shelving units!

Slater22 · Yesterday 15:05

Thanks all - will go through ideas… Thank you 😊

PissedOffNeighbour22 · Yesterday 20:05

@IlovePondoh bugger, my DH asked me if I wanted to go to McArthur glen yesterday on my day off and I said no! Haven’t got a day off for ages now!

Whatthecluckingcluck · Today 08:59

Vans are doing an extra 20% off sale items with code EXTRA20.

IlovePond · Today 10:40

Oh no @PissedOffNeighbour22 - that’s so annoying! Radley said they were probably still trading until the end of August, if that helps.

RainbowZebraWarrior · Today 10:54

Pretty much all gone straight out of stock. Great bargains, so no wonder.

DS always gets some pants at Xmas - he prefers the longer leg ones as he's chunky rugby player and as sales are on I'm looking for some.

I used to get him Oddballs but he says the recent ones are dreadful quality and only last a few months and not worth the money - whereas before they lasted years!

Are step one any good?

Any recommendation for bargain boxers for a chunky of thigh male?
