We’re grabbing a takeaway pizza tonight. Christmas Eve is always grazing/party food whilst we settle on the sofa watching a movie, it’s one of the very rare occasions when we don’t eat at the dining table

Starlight40 · 23/12/2025 16:54

We are having Tandoori chicken for tea tonight and a takeaway pizza/Chinese tomorrow.

Blingismything · 23/12/2025 16:59

M&S party food tonight with home made soup prior to that.

Lakeyloo · 23/12/2025 17:02

Pushmepullu · 23/12/2025 16:52

What i would love is a tin of ambrosia rice, eaten cold from the tin. Haven't had it for about 40 years. What we are having is kebabs and jacket potato tonight, pasta with a homemade vegetable sauce tomorrow.

@Pushmepullu i had cold Ambrosia rice at lunch time today. Glorious ! I'm a bit hooked on the Ambrosia rice Madagascan vanilla pots at the moment.

Canonlythinkofthisone · 23/12/2025 17:02

Snacks tonight as DH at work and then a takeaway tomorrow night. I dont have any room in my fridge for normal food 🤣🤣 not even sure where the meat from the butchers tomorrow is going to go 😭

15minutesaday · 23/12/2025 17:06

I've just had fish and chips.

Tomorrow I'll be having a jacket potato with the rest of the cottage cheese from today's lunch.

SwansOnTheLake · 23/12/2025 17:10

Tonight it's mushroom and broccoli spaghetti, tomorrow it's salmon fillet with homemade parsley sauce and veggies.

ExhaustedPigeon37 · 23/12/2025 17:11

Tonight we are having yesterday’s left overs (lasagna) and DD made a pizza from a Wrap, tomato paste and cheese.

Tomorrow, we’d usually have roast beef but as we are having beef wellington on Christmas Day we will probably have nuggets chips and beans/hoops! Easy dinner and everyone eats it!

Doseofreality · 23/12/2025 17:12

Cottage Pie tonight, late afternoon lunch out at a Restaurant tomorrow. Will snack on cheese, crackers ans sausage rolls tomorrow night.

MrsR87 · 23/12/2025 17:12

We’re having Tuscan fish tonight so we have a lighter meal before the festivities begin! Husband is cooking it though so that’s good!
Tomorrow is smashed patties…super easy but sooo delicious!

tinyspiny · 23/12/2025 17:13

Tonight we are having smoked haddock fishcakes with salad and tomorrow I’m doing a buffet as we have family coming .

ffsrealy · 23/12/2025 17:15

I’ve got a Sainsbury’s beef pie tonight and I’ll do some mash. I’m working until 5pm tomorrow so got some nice ready meals as a treat.

TheMadGardener · 23/12/2025 17:16

Sausage and chorizo pasta tonight using up loads of mushrooms and stuff from fridge to make more room for Christmas food.

Tomorrow night both DDs are out for dinner so it will just be me so I will probably have leftover pasta, assuming there are leftovers! Or raid the freezer.

(We have other people coming for Christmas day but they're only coming for the day)

Samanabanana · 23/12/2025 17:17

Indian takeaway tonight, tomorrow we're out for a lovely lunch at our favourite restaurant and then pork pies/sausage rolls/pickles for a light tea tomorrow night.

SunnyKoala · 23/12/2025 17:18

Macaroni cheese tonight. 13 year old is doing beef stew tomorrow.

Boododedoop · 23/12/2025 17:22

@LunaDeBallona I hear you ❤️

Tillow4ever · 23/12/2025 17:23

No idea what we are having tonight, but Xmas Eve we traditionally take the kids to Maccies. No washing up or cooking on Xmas Eve is a win!

HoneyParsnipSoup · 23/12/2025 17:25

Tonight is lentil and cauliflower curry
Tomorrow will probably be sausage and mash (done in a posh way! Tenderstem broccoli, whole grain mustard, fresh gravy etc)

tonyhawks23 · 23/12/2025 17:28

Jacket potatos tonight and was kind of thinking cheese and crackers tomorrow would do.

Boododedoop · 23/12/2025 17:31

Tonight I had a nice chicken salad sandwich. It was delicious and I used a brioche roll from a new local bakery for it. I also had a small handful of grapes alongside it as well as 2 squares of dark chocolate.

Tomorrow is Salmon, potato’s and a nice salad with avacado smothered in a homemade French dressing. Some grapes and 2 squares of dark chocolate.

Summerunlover · 23/12/2025 17:33

Chinese takeaway tonight. And the Christmas dinner tomorrow. As have it on Christmas Eve.

Vickim03 · 23/12/2025 17:35

ones having korma, me and one other chicken fajitas (both made with left over roast chicken) korma is a jar. Hubby is having stew that he made the other day. He can’t eat what we are having due to allergies. Xmas eve is party food and breads and cheeses eaten in front the tv with a film.

washingfrenzy · 23/12/2025 17:35

I have just eaten a Charlie Bighams curry for 2 to myself, half a packet of crisps. (Big bag) and I am on my second glass of wine.

Tomorrow is lasagne.

JudgeBread · 23/12/2025 17:36

Chippie tonight, steak with garlic parmesan roasties and tenderstem tomorrow which is our traditional Christmas eve dinner.
