Making vouchers with ChatGPT

My niece always asks for money to go sales shopping. I usually write in her card that I'll transfer some money and hope she finds some bargains. This year I asked chatgpt 'create a banknote style voucher for' £50 in your bank account to go sales shopping ' and had this a couple of minutes later. I've downloaded so can print it and include in her card but I guess I could also have sent in a text.

I love the extra dimension this gives, thought I'd mention it in case anyone is out of time to buy and needs to give a homemade voucher.

The 2nd is part of a running joke with dsis but again took a simple prompt and a couple of minutes to do.

It is lazy 🤷🏼‍♀️

So what if it's lazy?

We're allowed to be lazy.

So, unless you're making all gifts and then making your own paper, printing designs in it yourself and tying it with handwoven woolly from a sheep you sheared and reared yourself... then you're just being lazy.

So no, you’ve not made it.

So what?

It's not lazy, because creating a voucher is not an integral part of the gift. It's not a choice between painting a voucher herself and using ChatGPT, it's a choice between using ChatGPT or not at all. So by definition it isn't lazy.

I mean, I didn’t make dd3’s iPad either 🤷🏻‍♀️😆 not sure she’d want my attempt to make one of those 😬 I did make a fuse tester in year 9 DT so maybe I should have given it a go but I was “lazy” and ordered it from John Lewis.

With the exception of 'does pineapple belong on a pizza' and 'how do you pronounce scone', I have never seen such a 50:50 split of responses to something so benign.

Come on now. Pronunciation of scone is not a benign matter! 😂
