I knew exactly where to turn when DD added this tonight - any ideas or things you’ve done in the past along these lines?? DD is 11 (bless her) and knows about the tooth fairy but is desperately clinging on to the elves and Father Christmas.

She wants some ‘proof’ so I blagged through the fact that FC is who he is BECAUSE there’s no proof and that would ruin the whole thing. I’m sure she knows but I’d still like to humour this last request.

i am quite crafty and we have a well stocked supplies box but equally happy to buy anything that fits the brief!

If people wanted AI responses they'd ask AI.

Not everyone uses it. Calm down.

This has confused me though- are there supposed to be other people/beings who fly sleighs? If not, why would a licence exist just for Santa?

Have you not watched Santa Clause 3, were tests have to be passed and standards met to have the role of Santa, The tooth fairy, Easter Bunny and Jack Frost wants the top spot? In Fred Claus, Santa is under pressure via the efficiency expert. In Hop (inspired by folk lore) the Easter Bunny has a type of sleigh, so does the Snow Queen.

Thank you very much! Haven't watched either, but happy to learn.

It’s rather sweet but at 11 don’t think this might be her way of asking you to come clean?

I wouldn’t! My dd1 at coming up to 10 told me she knew FC was me and daddy, so I might as well admit it.
So I did.
When she was early 20s she told me she’d been dying for me to deny it, so she could go on believing a little longer.
I so wished I had! 😰
