Thread 12 - The one where it's All Pants (and socks)

1000 replies

RainbowZebraWarrior · 25/11/2025 20:27

Levi's pants and socks, that is. It's also exactly a month until Christmas!

Also, I have to thank @FortnumsWeddingBreakfastTeaPlease for this quote, as it really tickled me: "Well it's not going to be the one where we found the fucking flamingo.
Honestly I'm starting to despise the stupid, elusive, constipated thing." Sadly, it was too long to make the thread title.

Hello folks and welcome to the ongoing Christmas Bargain threads, which are hosted annually by the Amazing Reastie. I'm just caretaking for now.

This post is a work in progress, and if you have any links you’d like to share or you think would be good to add, then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas, and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links, please.

Please post any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

As we move towards actual Black Friday (does that even exist any more?) the threads tend to move very quickly. It can be helpful to post your bargain in bold. This can be done by adding an asterxix either side of a word with no gap in between. So Levi's would be Levi's

I've looked at Fahlo the past few years for DD and went for it with the BF offer but they're being very slow to dispatch and haven't responded to my emails. Is this normal? Having a bit of buyers remorse!

@GiddyDog I'm feeling the same. Four days and no dispatch email. The gift shop recommended by @RainbowZebraWarrior dispatched same day.

Yo Sushi have 20% off gift cards today, and are also doing their "bottomless belt" from 1-14 December. So you can essentially reduce the cost of that by 20% as it doesn't usually stack with another offer.

Alternatively, if you buy a gift card, you can (when paying in store) reduce your bill by another 20% if you have a Blue Light Card (this doesn't work for the Bottomless Belt).

PearlTeapot · 28/11/2025 09:35

Wow, what a shit Black Friday. I'm usually broke by now and not bought a thing.

oatmilkisntsobad · 28/11/2025 09:35

Has anyone managed to stack their £10 referral code with the BF50 sale on The Patch Collection? It’s really annoying as the email with the referral code says you just have to have over £15 in your basket and I have £16. I haven’t tried their customer services as they only have email and I’ve not had any luck with them in the past.

bairnk · 28/11/2025 09:43

For anyone looking for switch 2 with access to blue light I just bought an Argos voucher through blue light with 4percent discount and used it to buy it so was 384 instead of 399 for the Mario kart bundle. Also Argos has cash back through Quidco, 6 percent for tech purchases so hopefully get another £15 or so back through that!

Toooldforlonghair · 28/11/2025 09:43

Bit niche but for anyone with ezema Cosi Care scratch care products have BF reductions. They are aimed at children but my daughter swears by her Scratch Star for relief at night. She can scratch away without damaging her skin.

Aren't they a US based company? As it's just been Thanksgiving they may have been closed for a day or two for the holidays.

I think somebody mentioned Odeon limitless dropping in price before Christmas, does anyone remember this? Debating if the Black Friday fifteen pound Amazon voucher is the best bet or if it's worth waiting...

Ah, I hadn't thought of that!

Does anyone have a free delivery code for TGJ (WHSmith)? happy to collect in store, but only need £10 item and they do free delivery is over £30

Ness1234 · 28/11/2025 10:49

A secret Santa and it’s a charity request for a 15 year old male who just wants warm clothing.

Could anyone give advice on what else a 15 year might like, extra to the clothing without knowing anything about him. Thanks

watchuswreckthemic · 28/11/2025 10:56

@Ness1234sorry massive edit! Thought you were looking for clothing brands.

Blessedbethefruitz · 28/11/2025 10:58

@Ness1234 I dont know what's in fashion wise, but I'd definitely be stuffing the pockets with treats. Maybe some reusable hand warmers too if he's cold? Or gloves?

Moreteaandchocolate · 28/11/2025 06:55

Thank you 🙏🏻

CEX have a practically brand new one, box and everything, for about £375 on their website. No extras though! Just the console.

Toooldforlonghair · 28/11/2025 10:58

For knitting and crochet fans Hobbii yarn crafts shop has good BF reductions. They only offer free shipping on orders over £25.00 so for bulk buys there a cheaper places but if, like me you only need one or two balls it's worth it. You won't save much but it's cheaper than the high street and you don't end up with stacks of wool that you never use.

LoveHearts69 · 28/11/2025 10:59

Apologies - not in the Christmas spirit but a friend has just been through a horrible operation. I don’t have much budget at all but would love to send her something to show I’m thinking of her. I see Bloom and Wild has 25% off today but was just wondering if anyone has seen any better deals on flowers or little mini postal gift boxes?

CalliopePlantain · 28/11/2025 10:59

Happy Levi’s birthday to me! T-shirt for DPs stocking for 80p delivered!

Moonlightfrog · 28/11/2025 11:07

I have managed not to buy anything for Black Fridays so far.
I am looking for a gift for a 40 year old man who like movies and sport (ideally just something around £10), something for my mum, possibly some gloves for when she’s walking the dog. Something for my dad who has everything he wants/needs…maybe a food gift?

I am pretty much don’t for everyone else. Dd wants a bird box camera or a bird feeder camera but I can’t find a good deal so I many have to buy on vinted.

TeenWhisperer · 28/11/2025 11:10

Landsend have 50% off and House of Bruar have 10% off.

boobybum · 28/11/2025 11:19

Costa are doing their ‘free £5 when you buy a £20 gift card’ deal again but only until 1st December.

Itsallthelittlethings · 28/11/2025 11:20

Hi looking for camera drone recommendations for an almost 12 year old. On amazon of possible as I'm in Ireland so no argos... Thank you!

bizzey · 28/11/2025 11:28

@CalliopePlantain what a coincidence !
We share the same birthday 🎉 🎉!! 😂😂!

What did you get for £12 ?
