He's asking for things like :
a real jet pack so he can fly through the sky
An invisibility cloak
An x box, phone and switch 🤣

So obviously pretty much everything on his list I've tried to dampen expectations of and now feel really bad. I'm sure he will be confused as to why Santa hasn't got him ANYTHING he has asked for!

“That’s not the sort of thing Santa does. Can you imagine if every six year old had a jet pack? Chaos! They’d be everywhere! Shall we go to Smyths Toys at the weekend for some more realistic ideas?”

How does a six year old even know an Xbox exists, or think phones are even available for kids?

What about books, arts&crafts kits, etc? Sounds as though he has a good imagination.

”Santa thinks you have great creativity and wanted you to try this instead of video games. Santa doesn’t make Xbox or switch in his workshop.”

Some friends have them, I guess if they have older siblings? There's one friend of his who has a phone and I believe it's to keep on contact with his father as he lives in another country..

We've always said that father Christmas does the stocking presents as he can't fit big presents for everyone on his sleigh. My younger dc have both asked for impossible things from us/grandparents though.

I'm with you. My 6 year old has been hatching a plan all year to ask Father Christmas for all the magic in the world, so he therefore becomes Father Christmas and can learn all the secrets of the North Pole....

So basically he's asking for disappointment again, much like last year when he asked for a drone and golf clubs like he was hitting mid-life crises 40 years ahead of schedule!

Lol yes my son has also mentioned asking for magic which I've said cannot happen.

I HAVE found a jetpack costume though! So I bought one for him and his little brother and I think they will be happy with that!
Maybe that will come from us rather than the big man.
