…any suggestions for a good, leakproof, preferably pretty one, that keeps hot drinks hot?

Thanks, anybody!

I have this one. It keeps coffee warm for hours. Lovely cours too. I went for the green. I work in a clinic and never get to finish my coffee hot so this does the job.

Owala is all the rage with tween girls here in Canada now, Stanley's have had their day. So far the one my daughter got has been good, no issues with it. Wait until they go on sale somewhere though!

AwkwardPaws27 · 04/10/2025 15:49

I'm very happy with my Contigo & would replace with the same one if I lost it. I have the stainless steel one so it goes in the dishwasher.
I also have an ion8 one, bought on sale for a few quid as a back up. Its a bit smaller & I don't think it keeps drinks quite as hot, but no leaks.

CriticalOverthinking · 04/10/2025 15:52

How old is she?
stanley is still trendy but I don’t rate them for travel- too big and leak.
ironflask is brilliant, totally leak proof and can keep a drink hot 6+ hours (yes I’ve checked. No regrets)

CharnwoodFire · 04/10/2025 15:55

Hydroflask - loads of lovely colour, you can choose the type of lid, and in all tests (which include Stanley/yeti etc) it was the only one which kept the drink hot for 24hours. I've had mine for five years, use it everyday, and still doesn't leak / looks brand new

Claricecannotsleep · 04/10/2025 15:55

Yeti - best I’ve ever used. 👌🏻

Portabella · 04/10/2025 15:58

Yeti

Yeti Rambler with a hotshot lid

Many thanks, everybody. I’ve ordered a Chillys Liberty Print, but might also get a Contigo - always good to have an alternative.

For whoever asked, she’s 40s, so not fussed about ‘must have’ fashionable brands.

I love my bottle bottle one!

Linenpickle · 04/10/2025 19:33

Get her a yeti!

Linenpickle · 04/10/2025 19:34

Just realised she’s 40!so don’t bother unless she wants the trend factor!

Lastqueenofscotland2 · 04/10/2025 19:37

I love my yeti

onwards2025 · 04/10/2025 19:48

Personally I would go for yeti, but budget dependent

Orangepate · 04/10/2025 19:53

I have a lavazza stainless steel one, it came with our coffee order but I assume you can buy one. It is bloody amazing at keeping drinks hot. I make a cup of ginger tea at half six and drink it coming back from my swimming session at half eight. Still scalding!

Orangepate · 04/10/2025 19:57

This one

A Stanley aerolight transit mug in her preferred colour

This one from Joseph Joseph is superb. I’m a teacher. I make a drink at 7:20, throw it in my work bag and finish it at about 9:30, 10:00. still warm and lovely!

I've got this one too and it is great as it doesn't leak, but mine definitely does not keep drinks hot for more than about an hour or so. If I want a hot drink all day, I will use my Contigo Byron which I got during my first maternity leave in 2017 and it's still going strong..

scandinavianyellow · 04/10/2025 20:42

i bought a contigo off the back of a MN recommendation it is excellent

HugelyExpensiveCrystalDuck · 04/10/2025 21:09

I’ve got yeti because you can put them in the dishwasher.

FriendofDorothy · 04/10/2025 21:45

Yeti Rambler with a hotshot lid

Exactly this. I have a couple and they get used daily. Dishwasher safe too which is very helpful.

fiorentina · 04/10/2025 22:53

Another contigo fan. Or a chillys small bottle.

StopGo · 05/10/2025 09:41

SHO Calix fits my car’s cup holders perfectly, not dishwasher safe but very robust. I was gifted a Yeti recently and really impressed with it. It can also be put in the dishwasher.

Occasionalsnaccident · 05/10/2025 09:55

The chillys one I have doesn’t close so bear that in mind if important! Even when I’m finished I can’t put it in my bag unless it’s completely dry. I use a Joseph Joseph one which I wouldn’t describe as pretty but it works great.
