This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7 and share around the joy/referral perks.

Playmobile have 20% off atm, my 4 year wants pretty much their entire catelogue from Santa. Does anyone know if that's a good deal or if I should hold off?

If you look at somewhere like Maqio they have loads of 50/60/70% off Playmobile, but I don't know if its current catalogue stuff

Apologies if I upset anyone with the Temu post, just thought some of the tips I mentioned might be useful for someone. I promise not to mention Temu again on this thread and happy to delete it if need be.

Also it's not all Chinese crap on there ...the last couple of weeks I've bought things from Search Press, Books2Doors, Save on Books etc. You don't have to buy the Chinese crap.

Amazon, Amazon Haul, TikTok Shop, AliExpress, eBay, Shein, AliExpress....they're all the same.

Amazon and eBay (U.K.) have to comply with safety standards.
temu, shein, alieexpress etc don’t. So it’s best not to risk them for things for your children or gifts

Just done an order with sunshine lane via superseconds too! The woman who owns the small business is absolutely lovely! I won free shipping on the spin the wheel on the website but it wouldn’t apply so I emailed, she got back to me super quick and gave me another free shipping code to try and said if that didn’t work she would refund the postage for me!

theyve got some lovely items on there, I ordered a weird is wonderful mug, an art print and a coaster! ❤️

Hi DS is due to start guitar lessons and needs a guitar. I don't want to buy a really spendy one just yet as we aren't sure of his commitment yet. Has anyone here got any knowledge on 3rd avenue guitars?

Have a look at DJM Music. I used them when my children needed first instruments 20+ years ago (guitar and cello) and was very happy.
They also supply schools.

Lovely pyjamas but sadly all out of stock when size clicked on.

I just remembered one of my last-minute but favourite stocking fillers from last year, which was super cheap. After someone posted about it on these threads, I ordered personalised glasses cleaning wipes from the company linked below for grandparents and others which were printed with the photo of my choice.

Using the discount code RMULTI20 takes 20% off when there is more than one item in your cart, so they come down to only £2 each which is brilliant for a personalised photo gift.

Postage last year was only 99p but looks like they’re possibly offering free postage now too.

@YalzI can’t get the SUPERSECONDS code to work on the earrings. Do you know if there’s a minimum spend?

Which site are you looking at? There is one where you get a free pair of earrings (which they choose) if you spend over £15, but I don’t know if it’s the one you mean.

General tip: SUPERSECONDS can be a useful code on quite a few of their makers’ sites.

Edit: did you mean NJDoes Clay? If so, I only know what was in the banner at the top of the page, see I’ll put it in my next post as a screenshot: editing doesn’t seem to allow adding picture.

I really like a pair of their autumn PJ's, the ones with coffee, croissants and cinnamon whirls on, and I'm waiting for the same thing!

Just had a look at old emails and Sainsburys did 25% off Tu clothing in the middle of November 2023, so might be worth holding fire if you won't be disappointed to miss out. Or you could buy them in a couple of weeks if they still offer their 30 day refund policy?
I'd ordered pyjamas for click and collect into store and when I went to collect them realised that they had 25% off so went home and re-ordered. Just took the first order back when I collected the second! Saved £9 on the two pairs I wanted (and didn't make a special trip to get them).

ILoveCatsAndKittens · 04/10/2025 17:27

Does anyone know if Micro Scooters have a sale for black Friday? Or discounts please?

IlovePond · 04/10/2025 17:30

Sainsbury’s had 20% of TU clothing end of October last year. I bought some Xmas pjs when they were reduced and it was when we were driving to go on holiday. I remember because DH was annoyed that I stopped at Sainsbury’s to buy Xmas pigs in blankets pjs when we should have been on the motorway!

Thanks @NancyCarey Those are exactly what I wanted, and yes the delivery was free. I’ve ordered two glasses cloths for total of £4 delivered, but might be ordering more.

There are some great ideas on there e.g. personalised glass chopping board (any photo) for £12 delivered. I think you just need to have some imagination with their quite industrial, pub focussed product images.

Lurleene · 04/10/2025 17:51

Thanks for the Superseconds tip, I had s browse and came across an ideal gift for DS - a print of our local football stadium. It wasn't a second but I got a discount using SUPERSECONDS as a code.

I finally had a decent UberEats discount. £15 off a £25 grocery shop. Not as good as some had last week but it saved me some money and a trip to the supermarket this evening.

Worth checking your app.

BananaWoman999 · 04/10/2025 17:52

Landys chemist sent me an email to say they were offering a free gift with purchase (worth £100 apparently) if you spend £25+ on Clarins. Not sure how they compare price wise to other retailers. Offer ends on the 6th.

PaddingtonTwinkles · 04/10/2025 17:59

I have an £8 off an £80 spend at Argos if anyone wants it.

JellyRains · 04/10/2025 17:59

I finally checked my Uber Eats (which I never use). I had 2 x £25 off a £15 spend which was madness! Free food! And 1 £15 off £25 spend which I also used. I had a free trial of uber eats. So £75 worth of food for about £12.

I had this too - put through an order for £25, meaning my total came to about £10. Then three items were out of stock, so I actually got 40 packets of Wotsits, a 6 pack of Monster Munch, some pains au chocolats and some hot dogs (ALL the health food...) delivered for £1.89.

Has there been a spicery code posted? Or did I imagine it? Maybe on the last thread. I've looked back but can't find it.

spicery is 33% off the legend stuff this month - kits, refills and I think books separately too
