Christmas starts next month

I know I can’t be the only one excited about the fact that we’re now in July, which means all those Christmas goodies will start sneaking their way on to the shelves at the end of august (admittedly a little prematurely). 😜

Now I have a child I absolutely love Christmas again, and I hated it for years. That, combined with the fact it’s been too hot for all of us to get a good nights sleep I’m a little more excited than I should be at the prospect of a Christmas countdown.

I've just ordered my niece her first Christmas present. 🎅It's my second one of the year. I bought my brothers about 2 months ago! 😂

I have to keep magic for my 2 yo & it's really hard getting the buy in from the teens.
So any ideas on Xmas magic,new traditions & presents extremely welcome 🙏

This is insanity but I love it! I've already seen 2026 calendars on the shelves. July feels a little too early but it is what it is. Personally, I like completing my christmas shopping early anyway, so at the end of August I might be actively looking for the gifts.

Hop onto Netflix OP. They have started Christmas in July. I was happily watching Lindsay Lohan in a Hallmark Christmas film last night.

I love Christmas, but I'd have to think about it in July even if I didn't - all our local Santa experiences seem to have emailed me to say that booking opened on the 1st July, or will do at some point this month! I also do cross stitching, and Christmas in July is a 'thing' for cross stitch, I'm currently doing a stitch a long featuring elves and a Christmas tree.
I mainly wait until the end of September to get into Christmas mode though, as our family birthdays are just finished for the year, and I can properly turn my thoughts to Christmas planning.

My daughter has started her gift list so I hope I can make a start on Amazon prime day.

New member of the family who turns 1 next Christmas so that'll be lovely too.
