Anyone else sad that Christmas is over for another year?

Sept-Dec is possibly my favourite time of year.

I absolutely love Christmas and everything about it. The whole of December feels magical.

My dc are getting older and I think we've possibly had the last year of Santa. We might just get away with one more year.

The absolute joy of the dc opening their presents, I wish I could bottle it.

The years seem to be going faster and faster. I wish I could repeat last week and do it all again. Anyone else?

We have been away since 20th, travel back on Friday and seeing family at the weekend so it feels very extended 😊.
Then it's count down to Easter!

I guess you're on your own OP.

After 2 weeks of travelling brtt family relatives in so glad Xmas is over and really looking forward to January where I can be in my own space and spend time decluttering. My kids are 2yo and 6 weeks old. Eldest ones tantrums have been through the roof with the gift excitement and being out of routine. Glad it's all over now.

Nope. Wish it were every two years. What is it even celebrating? Just takes your mind of how horrible winter is.

Haha of course not.

For us it’s been lovely having DH at home more. He’s self employed so only had the bank holidays off, but worked slightly shorter hours between Christmas and New Year.
I’ve been ill with the virus all Christmas so felt sad to take the tree down today, and absolutely dreading the return to the school run on Monday. So yep, feeling sad it’s all over

I was sad about it coming to an end on New Year's Eve but now it's the 4th I'm looking forward to a fresh start. As PP said, not having chocolate and snacks readily available. The decs now just remind me that it's over now.

I actually love January and Feb; quiet months where you can hunker down and recoup some cash! Stop my jeans giving me a hard time. Have a 4 and 6 year old so looking forward to a declutter if I can get away with it.

Same OP I struggle a little during summer months from mid-July when it's so light the kids won't sleep and school holidays to plan around work. Lots of people away so feels a bit quiet and melancholy. I always feel a buzz when autumn comes.
