What’s everyone’s 12/13 year old having for Christmas?

Everyone does Christmas differently. There's no right or wrong.

My son really only has us buying for him so yes he does get a lot from us.

He might get a bit of money from his nan and my sister might give him some too but we're talking £10 each from them.

It's mostly because we host a big family dinner so everyone contributes to that rather than buying presents etc and we're all happy with that.

Main present will be a couple of lego sets

Also some decent colouring pens, sketchbook sweets, a jumper and some tshirts

She gets hardly anything other than bday + Xmas so we do tend to spoil her on these 2 days

My 13 year old has only asked for money and Just Dance for the switch, so that's what she's getting plus some chocolates.
(she did get a new-to-her phone recently though, as I gave her my old phone when I got a new one, and she had originally wanted a new phone for Christmas so that's already covered)

He should also be getting stuff from grandparents

12yo DD is getting a White Fox hoodie, fluffy slipper boots, a riding hat and a hat bag.

Ds who will be 13 in early January has asked for some new pants and socks 🤣 we've suggested a new bike which he agreed to.
He has a weekly allowance of £10 since he started secondary school and he never spends any of it so has around £700 saved up with no clue what to spend it on.
He's a very easy going kid who wants nothing

Which Greek mythology books have you gone for? Looking for some ideas for DS11!

A bit of an obscure feminist book.

If you need recommendations then DD has loved the Pat Barker + Natalie Haynes series but they are from feminist pov.

I want to buy her some sort of book/diary so she can record books she's read as I loved that at her age and am beginning to think it would be useful for me too now!! Although possibly they just use an app....

DS 12 is getting clothes - specific things he has asked for like a puffer coat, a jumper & a north face hoodie & a couple of things I've added on as he's growing like a weed.

Stocking fillers are: water colour/acrylic brushes, Guinness book of records, 2 novels from a series he's into, a beanie hat, his first lynx set 😂 (cheap in Tesco - he doesn't care what he smells like and doesn't seem to have any BO which is odd as puberty has hit) and some other things I've actually forgotten as it's all wrapped and ready to go. I will get some sweets too.

I'm glad he doesn't believe in father Xmas anymore so I can just say no to any weird ideas. In the past he's asked for things you can only get in Japan or 1990's vintage games consoles or, sometimes, things he has just imagined must exist. Because FC is magic he can get anything apparently .. what a pita that has been over the years!

13 DD main present is a Pandora bracelet and charms.

Some bits she's also getting
