Looking for ideas for all the lovely ladies in my life ... And maybe even myself. So far my Santa list is a pair of Bluetooth headphones so I can listen to very inappropriate podcasts and my children won't hear, and a very good, non-leaky travel mug for my horrible work commute. What are you getting?

I was thinking the same. I'm amazed that so many people know what they are getting!

I hate surprise gifts!

So do I! My face always gives me away if I don’t like it, and unfortunately I’m really hard to buy for - I just like what I like.

TortillasAndSalsa · 06/12/2024 23:19

I'm hopefully booking Florida for 2026 as my Christmas present for both this year and next

Flopsy145 · 06/12/2024 23:20

I've ordered (on my DHs card) a navy mini PomPom London cross body bag, love the different straps (2 free ones with first order). He's chuffed he doesn't need to worry now, and I know I'm getting something I really want!
Next Christmas I will get a different colour 😂

Also this year from others, Merry People bobbi boots, new pans and a rug.

Itsmeamandaberry · 06/12/2024 23:25

@Tinaforshort Same here. I actually get a bit annoyed that they have wasted their money on stuff I don't like

@Julia34 How can you be happy with things you don't need or want?

The height of excitement - a memory foam pillow. I am sick of my rubbish pillows 😂

Have you already tried one? I bought one and hated it, I'm a flipper and they're so heavy and unwieldy.

SundayDread · 06/12/2024 23:47

I’m struggling. DH and I aren’t into thjngs and we have enough money to buy what we want. I need something to open though.

Someone recommended a ninja frying pan and I changed all my pans to them this year and they are the best!

100% this!
I dislike waste and struggle with surprises as I won't be able to hide the disappointment if it's off the mark. Ideally I'd like everyone to give me vouchers for the local garden centre or M&S so I could go shopping.

I always have a list available of mid priced things I'd like and don't buy for myself so happy to share it with others.

Elphamouche · 07/12/2024 00:00

New pans
A kindle
A few clothes
Chocolate
Stocking bits - make up wipes/dry shampoo/kirby grips etc

Will get a few other surprises etc :) we love Christmas!

Not sure really. This is going to be vomit inducing, but very poorly husband is home so that will do for me.

This resonates with me too.
My lovely man has been through so many operations last five years .. almost lost his life more than three times.
He keeps asking me what I want for Christmas.. I tell him that he is my Christmas gift.., nothing else is worth anything compared to me having him by my side...
He gives me so many reasons to laugh out loud, more reasons to be proud of him and his resilience....
I just want him to continue on his journey of recovery, so we can go on to realise all our hopes, dreams and ambitions.... from the smallest ideas to the almost unimaginable.

Nothing vomit inducing about that ... well not for me.. 🥰

Lafee · 07/12/2024 00:32

OP the link to your life changing fry pan wouldn't open for me... can you say what it's called so I can look it up?
Thank you 🙏🏻

A silk shirt

and hopefully a couple of books or some nice socks. I got DH an iPad as he requested, so he's done pretty well.

MessyNeate · 07/12/2024 00:41

I got a shark hairdryer, before he went away to sea.

He's also surprised me with tickets to see my fave comedian today

TheNuthatch · 07/12/2024 01:01

We don't do expensive gifts for dh and I at Xmas. We would rather spend on the kids and family time at xmas, then bigger gifts for birthdays.

I love receiving traditional stocking gifts that dh and the dc put together for me. It's usually fluffy socks, pyjamas, chocolate etc. Ds is my fellow foodie of the household so he usually gets me a new recipe book that we both cook from whilst he's home for Xmas. I adore that time in the kitchen with him. Oldest dd usually buys me some nice hand cream or hair product, youngest dd usually makes or paints something for me. I love it all!

I have a contigo cup op and it's brilliant. I've used it daily for 4 years and it has never leaked. Keeps drinks hot for hours too.

Not vomit inducing at all! I hope he stays well over Xmas 💐

My early Christmas present was a new Tumble dryer which I'm very happy about having never had one before

My early Christmas present was a new Tumble dryer which I'm very happy about having never had one before

Which my DM bought me. She's been trying to get me to have one for ages no idea why I kept saying no till now

It's a heat pump one so I guess having newish dryer technology is a bonus
