Inspired by another thread and encourage to by some posters - please help me find Piglet (clearer photo further down the thread)

This is a really long shot but I've seen success twice this week with posters coming together to help find something. Encouraged to do so here is my appeal.

In 2003 I bought a soft toy Piglet from Adam's. Does anyone remember that shop? It soon became clear DD loved him so I bought a second one. She lost them both in the same week and even though I rushed back to where she had dropped one, he'd already gone. It was the first time she'd taken him out and that must have been 2006.

I found one with the right legs but wrong ears and another with the right ears but wrong legs. I bought the latter and left him on the stairs for her to find when we got back from play school. I said Oh, DD look who has come home! She looked at him, looked at me and said That's not my Piglet. She hadn't even picked him up.

DD was in a fire this year and we very nearly lost her so I think it would be a lovely little blast from the past if I could get her another one. Thank you to anyone who has any ideas. I did contact Adam's and they wouldn't tell me where they got him from and I don't remember any information on the label. The photo is the best I've got at the moment.

DD has this one. Not sure if it’s quite right (think the ears might be darker?) but it looks very similar so sharing photos just in case. It was a gift but the label is for ‘Push Paws’.

What size is the one you want? And can you find something else in the fabric you mean if that's not right?

It's plush whereas the real one is fluffy.

This is plush as well.

It is the material that is the important bit.

Can you post with the size you need and more detail? You keep saying the fabric is wrong, can you find an example of the type of fabric you're looking for?

Do you mean it's the same fluffy fabric for the light and dark bits? A lot of them seem to be fluffy for piglet and knitted for the jumper, is that what you mean is wrong?

Hi, I’ve been looking around a bit for you but I’m just wondering, what about the condition? If your adult dd loses it, or something happens to it, she will know the one you have isn’t the one she lost. Are you planning on saying the backup one turned up or something?

@longapple the fabric is the same for all the piglet apart from his ears.

@GirlfromIpanemagoestoGreenland dd will know it's new because I'll give it to her for Christmas. I bought two in case we lost one but then did and I'd like her to have two, or else we have one each. It's hard for me to really explain why I'd like another identical one but I appreciate everyone for looking.

Did you scroll through the photos. I think it is fluffy rather than plush if you look at the close up photo. Remember your daughter's is well worn so the fluff will look a little different?

Ah so the whole piglet is made out of the same fabric but just different colours?
In your most recent photo his body looks less fluffy and more fleecy than his arms and legs so that is what threw me off! Will see if I can find one same fabric all over

I’ve just sent DD’s dad to go hunting for her old one now 😂 I don’t think it’s the right material though but you can have it if it is

Also just in case it helps. My daughter has a well love Jellycat dog that would have started out as a plush standard jellycat but he has been cuddled so much he definitely looks fluffy rather than plush if thar makes sense. I will try and get a photo to demonstrate what I mean. So perhaps your daughter's piglet started out looking quote different to the less well love ones we are finding x

There was another one of the same sold not long ago which shows it in different light. It looks the same as the photos you posted of your daughter’s so 🤞🏻 Seems to be a “Piglet Dangly Beanbag Comforter” for future ref!

Oh goodness, thank you all.

The comment about it being old so the fabric has changed has blindsided me. I think that is a valid point. I won't be able to do it for a while but I'll look for photos from when she was a baby and first had it and compare.

So, everyone please stop looking as I don't want to take any more time when I can't check yet. Was supposed to be moving house last week so everything is packed!
