This is a really long shot but I've seen success twice this week with posters coming together to help find something. Encouraged to do so here is my appeal.

In 2003 I bought a soft toy Piglet from Adam's. Does anyone remember that shop? It soon became clear DD loved him so I bought a second one. She lost them both in the same week and even though I rushed back to where she had dropped one, he'd already gone. It was the first time she'd taken him out and that must have been 2006.

I found one with the right legs but wrong ears and another with the right ears but wrong legs. I bought the latter and left him on the stairs for her to find when we got back from play school. I said Oh, DD look who has come home! She looked at him, looked at me and said That's not my Piglet. She hadn't even picked him up.

DD was in a fire this year and we very nearly lost her so I think it would be a lovely little blast from the past if I could get her another one. Thank you to anyone who has any ideas. I did contact Adam's and they wouldn't tell me where they got him from and I don't remember any information on the label. The photo is the best I've got at the moment.

The LittleBlueCup group is for children and adults with disabilities to find items that they're attached to and genuinely can't manage without. It's not for every random who wants a blast from the past and shouldn't be suggested as such!

I'm so confused. This was 2003 so assuming your dd is now in her 20s?

What's the relevance? The op wanted help locating something. Also if you had bothered to read the thread you would know

JawsCushion · 28/11/2024 16:40

@SeaToSki that took me to a handbag store.

@DontReallyCareBear I did google and and realised what the site was so won't be asking them. I do have brain cells.

This is him ❤️

What's confusing you? Or are you just wanting to try and have a dig?

My apologies I did say someone who knows better would probably be along soon. Nothing more than that .
This is in Christmas and not aibu you could have been nicer , but that's me told eh?!

Letmegohome · 28/11/2024 17:02

@JawsCushion apologies for the misinformation , I've seen the group suggested before, but as I don't have any "adults or children with disabilities" directly in my life or use Facebook I was unaware it was such a specialist group .
Genuinely was an attempt to help

I wasn't cross with you. I appreciated you suggesting it as I'd not heard of it.

I know it was. I was snippy at the other poster, not you 💐

I'm good @JawsCushion 🐷 but thank you

Normallynumb · 28/11/2024 17:48

I remember Adams kids stores! 3 sons in their 20's here
I've checked eBay and loads of Disney store there( which doesn't help, I realise!)

Yay, someone who remembers them ! They were really unhelpful when I asked them. Rude too.

Thank you for checking for me.

I'm sure my dd had one although I don't think it came from Adam's

JetskiSkyJumper · 28/11/2024 18:22

I've just looked but the label has had all the writing worn off.

@JawsCushion Sorry I only read the first few sentences and assumed she was a child.

Paragraphs not sentences.

SeaToSki · 28/11/2024 20:53

The JC Penny one is the same design but only 8” tall

JawsCushion · 28/11/2024 21:08

Thank you so much @SeaToSki but it isn't the right one. The material is hard to describe. It's not velour, or fleece but like my rug fluffiness.

Sorry no good at links and can't tell size of this one but it looks very similar just not as worn/faded as your one
https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1690188557/vintage-piglet-and-winnie-the-pooh-soft

Meant to add, if you scroll through the photos it has an image of the fluff as you describe is not being fleece or fur

JawsCushion · 29/11/2024 06:36

Thank you @ElvenElf it is certainly close. I'm trying to get the exact one as she knew at 2.5 that a new one wasn't hers from a metre away 😁
