Yes, I know they're unpopular on here but I fancy tinsel, and ceiling decorations this year!

& I wondered if anyone's seen any really thick tinsel, or ceiling decorations, anywhere irl?

I forgot to look at The Range the other night, & the tinsel in our local pop up Christmas shop is thin & a bit rubbishy.

I've found ceiling decs on ebay unless anyone's seen any of them in person. None of the usual suspects (Poundland type places) had any that I could see this afternoon.

Thanks (& if you're going to express your distaste at my desire for tinsel & ceiling decorations, please don't bother!) 🎄

I went all 80s for lockdown Xmas and have carried on since. I bought all the foil Dec's from Eba, asda and Wilkos and petal lights from an online Xmas shop.

I’d try amazon/google.

I still like lametta* known as ‘icicles’ in this house) on our tree, but have had to order online, since I can never find any in the shops.

My streamers arrived today and brought such joy 🎄🎄🎄I'll put them up tomorrow 😃

Ah! I used to do "tasteful" decorating. Then a few years back i ditched the warm glow lights for big bulbed multi coloured lights in red, green blue and yellow. I also bought wonderfully thick tinsel garlands in red, green, gold and silver. All from my local garden shop op. So you have one near you?

Oooh. Please post a pic!

I felt the same and found them hard to buy for a cheap/reasonable price!
I got foil ceiling decorations from Asda (£1 per pack) they have silver, gold and red.
Asda also have a three pack of gold foil stars for the wall/ceiling that are lovely for £2.
I got tinsel from Lidl, and Wilkos. Wilkos has every colour tinsel you could imagine!

I went back to LIDL to get some of the lovely tinsel I'd seen and there wasn't any. 😞

I like the 80s style foil ceiling decorations but they're getting harder and harder to find and I'm not paying Amazon prices when you usually get one or two stapled wrong.

I've got a ton of tinsel so don't know the struggle for that.

I got some magnificent ones yesterday. Proper 80s ones from a shop that if they had told me it was 1987 I would have believed them, it was so old school.
Adams in Rye is where it's at :)

edit I think you can buy them here https://christmasdecorationsoutlet.co.uk/collections/christmas-foil-decorations/premier
