I remember he asked for it a while ago but completely forgot now it's too late. It's a character teddy and they do have one at our local tesco for £5. He said this morning he's asked Santa for it.

Problem is if I buy him on I will have to get other ds one too as they have equal amounts of gifts. So that means an extra £10 spent which I can't really afford.

What would you do?

His birthday is in January so I could give it then but he's asked Santa for it now so I feel obliged to get it.

Stop doing presents in turn. One year one of them is going to want something more expensive than the other one, especially when they hit teenage years

I’d buy it and remove one of the other presents as he’s asked for it in advance.

If he asked santa for it a while back, I'd get it if its affordable and do what others suggested of keep a toy back for birthdays.

Jesus didn't get his presents until the wise men showed up in January.

I would go out and get it.
Either take 1 gift out or don't take it in turns to open them.

Take one out and give it to him for his birthday if it will be that obvious he has a different number of presents to other DC.
