We start the day with champagne and a light breakfast usually croissants, brioche, assorted fruits whilst we open presents.
Then the main dinner about 2pm
Starter - a large seafood platter smoked salmon, lobster, prawns etc as well as a charcuterie platter with cured meats served with warm breads - I find it easier to do a sort of help yourself starter when catering for larger numbers.
Main - Traditional Turkey, Roast Ham and also a large Beef Wellington fortunately (as yet) there are no vegetarians this year!! I will do roasties, pigs in blankets (already made and frozen about 80 of these ready to cook), dauphinoise potatoes and new potatoes, parsnips, cauli cheese, carrots, sprouts, red cabbage and although not traditional we have yorkshire puddings.
Desserts - Xmas pud, St Clements trifle, Chocolate and Chestnut Log with flavoured and plain cream and custard to accompany.
I then set out a cheese buffet with crackers and fruit that we can all graze on.
Later in the evening I slice and plate any leftover ham and turkey with french bread if anyone wants any more food.
