What to get the in-laws that have everything?

They are rather wealthy, I've only known them 2 years. Last year I got them a sage tree for the garden. What are you getting your in laws? 🤔

Do you mean you’re getting them a separate present from your partner? That feels really odd and unnecessary to me: Partner sorts their parents’ presents and writes both your names on the label, you sort your parents’ presents and do the same.

Tree was a good shout! Hamper of handpicked items? Not a pre prepared one. Then you can combine luxury and thoughtfulness (tailor to their likings)

If they like wine I'd get them a nice bottle recommended by a wine merchant. Or Waitrose have some good ones on offer just now at £10.00.

A craft workshop for MIL
A share in a racehorse for FIL

They have a wine cellar full to the brim, sadly for me!

Speciality food hamper. My ILs are getting a scottish cheese one from us, as its what they love.

Or a cheese making kit. Did that a few years ago and it was a massive hit.

Nowt

PuddledDuck · 06/12/2023 23:19

The share in the racehorse was £45. Just something for him to follow as he’s a racing fan. They range in price.

Last year I got my in laws a nice sheet set, year before I think a nice blanket- this year we are reducing things to wine and chocolates amongst us for which I'm grateful.

Homemade presents sometimes carry more meaning if people can already buy anything they want eg Christmas cake, jam, jelly, Christmas chutney, choc truffles 3 flavours, sloe gin, or make up kits for one of their interests: gardening trug, trowel, gardening gloves (always need renewing) kneeler; chocolate making day, cocktail kit with fresh ingredients, liqueur, spirit and mixer plus typed out recipe, pet pack if into animals, if walkers how about making energy ball selection, 2 sitting pads, stainless steel flask and 2 beakers, neck warmers, gloves. Good luck.

Love Snowdonia Cheese, that's a real winner.

Another vote for Snowdonia Cheese.
Tickets for a show?

Do you have kids? If so personalised photos of the grandkids are unique without it mattering how much they cost. DM loves getting a bauble with a grandkid photo in of them a year older. If not any other sort of personalised photo item tends to go down well in our family, maybe a group photo of you with them printed onto something? There's a huge range of options for photo printing online.
