Dammit, I now want a Balthazar!

PearlSlaghoople · 24/11/2023 09:15

I ♥️ Balthazar!! 🐪

My ‘warm cinnamon ‘ Zoflora arrived yesterday, so that’s in a spray bottle for my room scenting. Plans and lists are around regarding foods and bits that need sorting. With Christmas Eve a month today, I really need to think about stuff😱

.

housethatbuiltme · 24/11/2023 09:33

Hopefully today I will sort all the piles of stuff (stocking stuff, present, xmas jumpers etc...) into separate groups for each child and to make sure I haven't lost anything that will need finding/replacing.

MissMarplesNiece · 24/11/2023 09:44

I've ordered gloves for DH - ones that he can wear while using his smart phone.

DSis's cat pyjamas have arrived so have my outdoor fairy lights - multicoloured stars. They're solar powered but with the drizzly weather we've got here I don't know how long they'll take to charge up.

RainbowZebraWarrior · 24/11/2023 09:51

I've been to M&S and bought DD some pyjamas. I tested the White Coconut perfume, but wasn't keen. I then tested the Christmas room spray (all over my gloves) and decided I'd prefer that as a perfume.

Nowt was reduced apart from 20% off Nuxe and Pixi. The lady on the till said they wouldn't be doing any more Sparks offers in the next week as the Advent giveaway starts next Friday.

Bought a Neom Cosy Nights candle online to go with my Christmas Wish one. Now going to look at White Company.

Still really need to move furniture round in the lounge..

Pinkkisugarmouse · 24/11/2023 13:25

My present from DH arrived today and I checked to make sure they sent the correct item. DH put it in his wardrobe and said jokingly “now don’t look” 😆
Bless him. He got our little tree. Can’t have the big one out as our junior cats will trash it.
Getting a bit excited now. 😁🎄

drspouse · 24/11/2023 14:24

Do a Christmas present audit.

CornishGem1975 · 24/11/2023 14:46

Bought some more stocking fillers and doing some online ordering whilst the littlest one is asleep.

MissMarplesNiece · 24/11/2023 17:23

I want to buy something for my great niece who was born in May - she will be 7mo at Christmas. I'm a bit clueless. DSis has suggested baby books. Any recommendations?

Pinkkisugarmouse · 24/11/2023 18:52

I ordered a pair of very cute Christmas stockings for…..my cats. Yep you read that correctly. They will also make fantastic decorations. The stockings, the cats wouldn’t sit still long enough. 😆

Due to arrive tomorrow and then I just need to fill them with treats but I will probably have to wait until closer to Christmas so I don’t give them all the treats early. 🐾🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛💖

@Pinkkisugarmouse

I haven't bought the cats their presents yet (it will include Dreamies Stockings ) they got one of those Flipping Fish that they glared at until we took the battery out and filled it with catnip . So now a non-flippy, catnip flavoured stuff toy fish !

I know catnip is loved by most cats. Hence the name but my girls aren’t interested and my previous girl. Bless her soul. Wasn’t bothered either. Bizarrely I really like it.
I was considering a flipping fish but reviews aren’t good and some people said the noise scared their cat.
I’ll probably just stick to a range of food treats.

We appreciated a good teething toy at that age - sophie the giraffe or similair

Pinkkisugarmouse · 25/11/2023 17:50

The stockings for my cats have arrived. They look really nice especially for the price. So close to done with the shopping.

CornishGem1975 · 25/11/2023 17:52

Tonight I am beginning the wrapping process 🙃

wideawakeinthemiddleofthenightagain · 25/11/2023 18:04

I have cleaned the windows!
I have also take some stuff to the charity shop and generally had a bit of a re-organisation upstairs as that will save me having to do it immediately before guests arrive for Christmas.
And I had an inspired idea to get the DC some dry robe type things as an Xmas present and found some for a good price.

wideawakeinthemiddleofthenightagain · 25/11/2023 18:05

Oh! And I bought a White Company candle and the M&S gingerbread star tree which I'm hoping will be easier to assemble than a gingerbread house

ranoutofquinoaandprosecco · 25/11/2023 18:09

I've sorted and tidied the man cave and office so that the crap that's usually in the spare room can be shoved away tomorrow and I can start sorting the bedrooms out!
I may have hung a few nice bits on a white tree in the lounge Blush and also got a white company winter candle!

RainbowZebraWarrior · 25/11/2023 18:14

I've put the tree up! (Well, I've dragged it out of the big hall cupboard, where it lives, already decorated) We have a few new ornaments to add this year. A wedge of cheese, a macaron, and a few other little vintage bits that I've picked up through the year.

APurpleSquirrel · 25/11/2023 18:14

We've put up our tree - would usually put them up at the beginning of December, put DH & DD are away next weekend & don't want to put it back another week, so they've gone up today.
Also went to the Christmas market in town & bought a few bits for PIL & my niece.

stillholly · 25/11/2023 18:31

Bought the first load of presents, feeling quite accomplished.

Another thing I've done today in preparation is not drink alcohol. I have socials coming up and Xmas is usually quite boozy so purposefully staying off it today.

NoWordForFluffy · 25/11/2023 18:34

I've wrapped all the kids' presents today, and ordered a few more bits to finish them off.

I've almost completed DH's presents (his birthday is 23rd Dec, so it's everything at once!).

I'm gutted we can't put the tree up, but we're moving on 15 Dec, so can't do it before then!

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 25/11/2023 18:37

Must not twitch. Must not twitch!

I have the dreaded itch to twitch. I do not need anything really. A couple of little stocking fillers and a gift card to get closer to the time. Most is wrapped too (have lost one of my dad's gifts. Do I rebuy or hope it turns up?!)

I just have the most annoying urge to keep looking. I don't feel I have completely satisfied my christmas buying itch 😂😂

"That's not my....." books are good for that age up to about 2 or 3 years old as they're textured.

Yay!!! I feel good whenever anyone graduates to this stage before the 20th December. You are in control!!!
