Thread title inspired by the 'it's time' Christmas trend as it's now time for Christmas now halloween is over!

In message two are the links and info from last year - if anyone has anything they'd like me to amend or add, please do tag me and I'll update.

A reminder not to post affiliate links in the thread but that MN do change amazon links shared by posters into MN affiliate links.

Please do watch the thread rather than post to mark place to make it easier for everyone to keep up and find relevant info.

@MrsChristiesChristmasCake do you or any of your family have an old digital camera sat in 'that' drawer that's not been used since smart phones came about? That was one of the most successful presents my son has had from DM over the years and completely free!

Sux2buthen · 05/11/2023 10:29

@Talisin
@AQuantityOfNaughtyCats
Thankyou both 🌲

DelurkingAJ · 05/11/2023 10:30

I bought Photobox calendars (using the 50% off code FLASH50) and was then offered a range of discount vouchers to choose two from.

Filterphobia · 05/11/2023 10:53

@Pammela2 I was holding out for Black Friday for a toy for DS but then succumbed to the Jack’s birthday club deal. My plan is that if it goes much cheaper on Black Friday I will buy a second and return the original one as it will be within 30 days now.

Soscrewed · 05/11/2023 11:11

@ThreeB oh my goodness- thank you so much. My uncle loves tanks. The whole family has just done a mass order (10% off if you sign up to newsletter) at the tank museum. He has tank bedding, a laptop bag, onsie and tank tank top plus other bits on the way for Christmas. He will be delighted. They even do tank wrapping paper! Loads of military stuff plus some Harry Potter and star wars in the sale too.

I saw Joe and sephs popcorn in aldi this week in one of the middle aisles. Quite small bags though.

Thanks @Holdyournoseandthinkofchocolate @Timwith2noses and @fishfingersandchipsagain
Don’t have Ocado unfortunate, wouldn’t have thought of T K Max but hurray for Amazon! Never thought of Amazon and just had a look and prices there look good.
That will be another one ticked off!

fishfingersandchipsagain · 05/11/2023 11:38

I’m glad it helped @nicky2512 😊

I might just remind people of the Amazon Subscribe and Save stacking hack too.

I have Prime, and have some things delivered on a monthly subscription (eg toothpaste). If you have more than a certain number of items (I think 5) in a subscription for a particular month, then you get a discount on it. 5/10/15% depending on the item. You also, on some items, get an extra percentage off for adding it to your subs for the first time.

I always use November delivery for this. I fill it with Lindt chocolate, Elemis skincare, Neom diffusers, Burts Bees stocking fillers etc. all with double extra discounts, so some reduced in an offer already, with 20% off for first subscription, then 15% because of being in an order with more than 5 subscriptions.

I set the frequency of delivery to “every 6 months) which means I have plenty of time to cancel. And it means I still get the same “first subscription” offers the following Christmas.

fishfingersandchipsagain · 05/11/2023 11:42

Example on Neom from last year £39 down to £22.30 using subs hack

Does anyone have one of those sheepskin things you use with seatbelt to stop the belt rubbing and do they actually work ?? Thank you

chocolateisavegetable · 05/11/2023 11:56

Argos have the Nivea advent calendar half price - £25, which is much cheaper than Amazon

Cult Beauty have released Xmas crackers today.

nicky2512 · 05/11/2023 12:00

Oh @fishfingersandchipsagain that’s brilliant! Would never have thought of that either. That will keep me busy later!

MrsChristiesChristmasCake · 05/11/2023 12:01

@Changingagain Thanks for the suggestion! I've been looking at the instant print cameras with thermal paper (so black and white). My mum seems to think DS would be disappointed with no colour prints, despite saying that me and my siblings had great fun with a similar camera when we were little! Just not sure what one to choose!

@fishfingersandchipsagain that's genius! Thanks!

DinkyGT · 05/11/2023 12:29

Hi all, I’m after a bit of help - my DN is 10 (nearly 11) and she would like some make up for Christmas - any ideas of make up sets suitable for children? Also, she loves Lilo&Stitch and I saw some lilo&stitch make up brushes on LookFantastic which would have been perfect but they are £23 and I can’t justify that amount on brushes alone! Anyone seen any similar around or any idea of discount codes for LF? Thanks in advance xx

ThreeB · 05/11/2023 12:37

@DinkyGT Claires Accessories have 2 Stitch Make Up Pallets at half price

Oh wow that’s amazing! Thank you! X

psuedocream3 · 05/11/2023 12:44

@DinkyGT Just to follow on from @ThreeBs suggestion.

Code Merry20 takes an additional 20% off. Also If you have a claires account check your rewards, I had £10 in reward gift cards in both of mine, not sure exactly why.

Help!! My eldest ds has a dark chocolate toblerone in his stocking each year. He is 21 now and always says he doesn’t want anything as long as he gets a dark chocolate toblerone. But I can’t find one anywhere! I’ve tried Tesco, Asda and sainsburys and today WHSmiths which is where I got it from last year. I’ve got a small Waitrose in the next town so will have to venture there next week but does anyone know where else I can try other than duty free!!
And on the same theme …..a white chocolate orange? Have they stopped making them? It’s what ds16 has each year in his stocking!!

I think they have them here. Not the cheapest but you can personalise them. Also 15% off your first order if you sign up.

Yeknom · 05/11/2023 13:17

@Beautifulsunflowers do you have a QD near you? You can order and online and collect? www.qdstores.co.uk/products/toblerone-swiss-dark-chocolate-with-honey-and-almond-360g.html#

I'm looking for suggestions for a 16 y.o teen boy who is very into Pokémon. My kids grew out of this very young so I'm clueless and a lot of Pokémon stuff seems to be aimed at much younger kids. Budget up to £30. Would a bundle of Pokémon cards be acceptable?

ilisten2theradio · 05/11/2023 13:24

@Beautifulsunflowers Asda seems to have white chocolate oranges according to Google

WhereTheresAHill · 05/11/2023 13:26

@Beautifulsunflowers i am flying this week if you want me to pick you one up and post?
