I have and I've just had an email reply to my chase tye weekend (oddly emailed dated 23rd but I swear it was showing a reply this am) to say they will start shipping next week into November which doesn't give time to cancel so if mine hasn't moved by Monday night I'm going to cancel as the very sparse info on my account pages couple with the dragging of heels comms and very tight cut off for payment is making my paranoid spidey sense tingle a little

The juice isn't feeling worth the squeeze if you get me

Sorry can't remember who it was mentioning Nano Blocks, but if they like them, I'd recommend Loz Blocks. AliExpress have loads of them, they're tiny like nano blocks but more detailed and smoother looking like Lego. Just make sure it's definitely says Loz.

I have now contacted my credit card provider about Birchbox. They can’t do anything until I actually get charged, though: I hope I was right in saying that’s the 1st Nov and that the company doing this are actually using a trading name vaguely similar to Birchbox! Anyone else in the same boat, I’d recommend emailing customer services so you have a record of the bounced email in case you need to prove you tried.

Advised me to reply to email I did get asking to cancel that way if they call anyway bank can use that when they then raise a dispute if need be. And I screen shot t's and c's showing cancelling was permitted on monthly billable box

I suppose it's a clever strategy on behalf of Birchbox to stop people signing up and only having the first box. I feel that they are not the scammers, the bargain hunters with no intention of signing up are, and sometimes when getting a deal like this you have to accept that you'll get stung for the full amount. It's always a risk. I love a deal as much as the next guy (wiggles toes in new white stuff socks).

I guess you have a point to a degree but strategy is one thing, not responding to comms, making it difficult to access your account and data is a different kettle of fish and quite frankly not what a professional organisation does

I mean that's probably how they see it. These deals are often a risk and I think this is their way if stopping us taking advantage.

When the second box arrives there may be a chance to return.

I love all the deals and bargains we share but every year there is at least one that doesn't work out so well.
