Something that may help if you are eyeing up a Boots in store purchase ... I've just had my first go at the Scan2Recycle scheme and after successfully getting my first x 5 empties approved (qualifying empties, participating stores etc all on the Scan2Recycle website) I've dropped them off this morning and received a barcode to get 600 points off a £10 spend!!!

So easy and very helpful towards Christmas as you can do it several times in October (not sure of the points rewards change each month?). Best thing is it accepts clean toothbrushes and electric toothbrush heads!

Well worth doing to boost your points and get rid of hard to recycle product empties.

Other Ts and Cs when redeeming that code but a couple I think are good to know now -

Can't redeem at a self service till. I did mine at No7

You only have a couple of days to use once received so don't sit on it!

DeathStarCanteenGal · 11/10/2023 13:02

@Turtleoo Gruum is definitely pretty unisex
had soap, shampoo bars and skin care from there and always been pleased with it

jamrolypolyandcustard · 11/10/2023 13:10

Sorry if it's already been mentioned. Just popped into my local Sainsbury's and there's huge toy sale on. Some fab offers!!

Wolfcub · 11/10/2023 13:15

Davidoff Adventure is 16.99 on Amazon some other reasonable deals but this looks like the biggest drop

uncomfortablydumb53 · 11/10/2023 13:16

I can vouch for Notino as I did wonder if it was legit for the prices
Everything arrived when expected and the items were all security sealed and genuine

imnottoofussed · 11/10/2023 13:18

Does code 40PLUS work for you on lookfantastic?

It's an influencer I follow on Instagram

I can also vouch for notino

sellote · 11/10/2023 13:26

Thanks to those vouching for notino (phew!).

ReetPetite · 11/10/2023 13:27

I can highly recommend the game Sink n' sand. My then 7yo received it last Christmas and it has been a hit with everyone who has played it (children and adults alike). Currently £10.49 on Amazon (Prime Day deal).

Deal of the day for Prime Members: Sink N’ Sand, Quicksand Kids Board Game with Kinetic Sand for Sensory Fun and Learning – Easy Toy Gift Idea, for Preschoolers and Kids Ages 4 and up amzn.eu/d/d4Uqjz2

There are some good toys in tkmax at the moment I managed to get a toddler Disney doll for £15 the lowest I saw last year was £19.99 .. also found some Disney wet brushes for £5 and mini wet brushes for £3!

I also saw in the entertainer some Bakugan singles down from £7 to £2.30!

I have ordered a couple of cry babies dolls from tk maxx as they were a lot cheaper. Picking up Friday so fingers crossed they are OK 🤞🏻

Threeboysadogandacat · 11/10/2023 14:15

@sellote I have ordered twice from Notino, both last Christmas, for man perfume for my sons. I had no problem with them either time. I think people are more likely to review if they are unhappy with the service than if everything is fine.

@CelticPromise The Gruum set is excellent. I got it last year and it was in a little presentation box. My son pinched it so I got another this year. It’s not in a box but is great value. I’ve given a few Gruum sets as gifts before.

GettingOldWithoutStyle · 11/10/2023 14:27

Disappointed to hear about Naledi, mine has been dispatched today 😬 wonder what's coming now

Blessedbethefruitz · 11/10/2023 14:55

@HereForAdvice123 I saw those too but they have plastic clothes that can't be removed (in my store anyway). My toddler would be unimpressed! Great price if they don't care though.

User202242 · 11/10/2023 15:54

Fairyliz · 11/10/2023 11:55

Well I have received my Naledi earrings and I’m really disappointed.
I saw a picture from a previous poster which showed earrings in a gift box.
Mine came in a hessian sack, they are tiny and look cheap. The sort of thing that would cost £1.99 in primark, not anything I could gift.
I know they were only £13 but definitely not worth that and certainly not worth the £23 they were supposed to be.

Oh no this was me sorry! I ordered the 925silver ones! Should have been £55, £23 on sale so they were £12.99 delivered I think! Wonder if they have different packages for different products.

Mrscouldron · 11/10/2023 17:03

Has anyone seen any of the big Magic Mixies at a reasonable price? My daughter has asked for one and the price seems to be £70.

Hickry · 11/10/2023 17:54

Simple gift set containing facial wash and a jade roller for £5.

shash1982 · 11/10/2023 17:54

Thanks to the PP who recommended the Notino website.
Just ordered a woodwick candle for just over half price and had discounts on beauty bits and the sol de janeiro range.

If anyone is buying candles as gifts I recommend the woodwick ones. They crackle like a fire place and the black cherry smells amazing as do the vanilla and calm retreat ones.

onedayatatime73 · 11/10/2023 18:07

Can anyone remember from last year

When is the Lisa Angel sale?

When is the Hot Diamonds sale?

And there were some great personalised Christmas gift labels - can't find in my inbox where I bought them from (but we all did) and they saved hours of tag writing!

Youranus · 11/10/2023 18:08

£10 off a £50 spend at Clark’s Outlet with code THANKYOU10. Free delivery over £30. Just got a nice pair of boots for someone’s Christmas for £59 delivered reduced from £120. They have some nice leather handbags and slippers that would make nice Christmas gifts too.

DeathStarCanteenGal · 11/10/2023 18:17

for anyone still looking for a light up mirror, Urban Outfitters have one in their sale for £8 - there's also a heart shaped one for £16

@Bsgetty Piggybacking onto your drawing tablet recommendation, thank you :) Perfect gift for my niece

If anyone is trying to think of a fun small gift, stocking filler or secret santa for £10 consider a large set of dice. There's a game called Tenzi where each player has 10 dice (in a specific colour) and you just roll continuously until someone rolls all theirs on the same number. Properly, it should be a number that was rolled in a first 'selection' roll but you can simplify it (or play more complex targets). It's transportable and easy for all ages, but gets fast, heated and sometimes chaotic when you reach the point where everyone is just wildly chucking theirs trying to win.

• Official Tenzi pack reduced to £7.98, add £2.99 shipping: Reduced Tenzi
• Off-brand multipack of die £9.99: search Amazon for 'Glaxcidy 100 Packs Transparent Dices, 14mm Acrylic Dice'

This is a really interesting game. Have you ever used that site before? Thanks
