Sorry to start this thread in August (in fairness it is nearly September) but I can't see one yet! I enjoyed the one last year.

Has anyone started thinking about which product advent calendar they want? I'm thinking of getting my husband the Elemis one. We get each other one every year as a surprise ☺️

I like the beauty ones. I wish I could buy my DH a chocolate one, but he’s diabetic. Last year, I got him a beard oil one, the year before coffee. I wish there was a good, but different one for him this year. There is no point in me going for male skin care, as he wouldn’t use it 🤷‍♀️

You could get him a good quality dark chocolate one, a square a day is fine. He'll also appreciate it if chocolate is normally off the menu

I made fabric ones and I fill with chocs and small treats. My grown up girls have had the same ones since toddlers and they love them. I have made them for all my niece's and nephews too.

We’ve only ever done chocolate ones. But I’ve been organised this year! Puzzle one for youngest daughter in the RNLI January sale, Harry Potter figures one from Vinted in June (bargain) and funko pop for son, also in sale earlier this year. Not usually so extravagant but got them at such good prices. Meant I could treat husband to a Brewdog one! I’ll get an old school picture one for my classroom 😊

It was Coffee beans. I found it on Etsy. I can’t remember the name, but it was good 🙂
He is a tough bloke to buy for. No alcohol because he’s an alcoholic (4 years sober), nothing with sugar due to his diabetes and we’re both vegetarian, so nothing with meat. As for tools, he’s a good DIYer, but has everything already!

I bought myself the space nk one, I can officially say I have started my Christmas shopping now 😂
I usually make my dds beauty ones using some of my old calendar boxes, this way they get exactly what they like. It works out expensive BUT there’s absolutely no wastage. I do also save some bits from GWPs to add to them so I’m not buying absolutely everything to fill them.
All the dc will also have a chocolate one. I got ds a Harry Potter lego one a couple of years ago but he was really uninterested and there were about 7 days that he just didn’t even bother getting round to open so that was a lesson learnt.

I’ve got them from Sainsburys in past years. Haven’t seen them in shops yet (they will come out closer to the time) but you may be about to order online.
