Here's our new thread. Almost missed that it was needed!

Can somebody add the countdown again please, as I've no clue! 🤣🤣

I loved watching Friends years ago. My daughter messaged me to let me know he had died as she watches the whole series from start to finish quite regularly.

I think people would be amazed how many people have demons. The number gets higher and higher.

Evening!

I'm very tired today. I woke at 4.30 and got confused about when my alarm was going off, depriving myself of far too much sleep! 😩😩

I've seen my surgeon today for a follow up and I'm back in December for another appointment. My left shoulder has joined in the shit shoulder party now. Hurrah. 🙄

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 30/10/2023 21:04

Ouch your left shoulder is not behaving is it , joining in to give you aggro .

I'm cracking on with tidying up . did loads of washing , it was raining pretty much off/on so having to try it in the dryer/the DriSoon /heated rail/hanging rails and shifting things about . I've got some clothes for the Charity Shop
Shampooed some of the hall carpet
Dod food shop

I also have the new Good HouseKeeping (subscription) and I'm refusing to open it is right now as I want to read it later .

Hallowe'en tomorrow Halloween Grin we're going out so no Trick or Treaters .
I'm not decorating and my DS will keep the lights off and the cats in (and probably eat my bag of Skittles )

Dunelm opens in my town today. I'm leaving it alone until next week because it'll be bonkers. Plus DH will be back in work and I'll go over on my lunch so I can wander around and buy loads in peace! Xmas Grin

Jealous of seeing America decorated for Halloween Constantly

I've woken up today feeling quite stressed but not really sure why as I had a quiet work day and an evening out planned. Have spoken to boss and agreed to use my mental health day/duvet day so I'm off. I think DH wants us to go out for lunch so we'll do that, go for a walk after to refresh/blow away the cobwebs, then chill out before I'm out this evening.

NoWordForFluffy · 31/10/2023 18:54

Evening!

Crazy, did the day off help? It's nice that your work has duvet / mental health days. I've never worked anywhere with those, sadly.

I did put a small Hobbycraft order in, as I needed a frame for the cross stitch I'm doing for mum.

Our solicitor emailed today to say they had more enquiry responses. Hopefully that's all of them now. Just need them to be reviewed and OK'd, plus the lease plan amendment agreed (it's gone to the vendor for instructions). We need to exchange by no later than a week today for a November move. Here's hoping! 🤞🤞I've never wanted to send thousands of pounds across to anyone as much as I do now. 😩🤣

Pinch Punch

Sounds like things are (hopefully) getting a wriggle on now Fluffy . You can see why "moving house" in ranked in the Top 3 of stressfull things .

We (DH,DD and I) went out to the local theatre last night which was lovely . We left DS Home Alone (with the cats) but we hadn't done any decorations so didnt expect any knocks at the door .

ConstantlyCooking · 01/11/2023 11:44

I hope everything goes smoothly Fluffy. It's frustrating when something that is so important to you, just seems to be halfway down someone else's to do list.
Crazy - I hope the duvet day does the trick. I can't complain about teachers' holiday but I am going to, but I miss the flexibility of being able to take the odd day here and there.

CrazyBaubles · 01/11/2023 14:00

Constantly can I ask if you're like DH in the school holidays and start doing random jobs around the house?
Today the kitchen needs a clean and the hoover should be put around - DH has spent the morning sorting 2 kitchen cupboards, going through the freezer and randomly deciding I leave too much stuff around the house 🤬

Fluffy I really hope the house stuff gets moving for you. The frustration with the process is ridiculous isn't it?!

The MH day definitely helped. It was so nice and I managed to fully switch off too, which doesn't happen often. It means I also slept really well.
Could do with 2 days but don't want to push my luck - work is too busy for that so I'm back to it today.

70 what did you go to see?
I went to a completely random comedy club show where a small group improvise a play based on suggestions from the audience. Was much better than I expected and gave the giggle I needed.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 01/11/2023 14:28

70what did you go to see ?

Killing Jack - its about the women who were killed by Jack the Ripper and they come back to modern Whitechapel when a 25yo is killed on her birthday . They help her friend to get recognition and for the Ripperologist not just to use their names and pictures in his tours but recognise they were real women just trying to make a living but met up with the wrong client .

QVC have some Matching Family Pyjamas as their Todays Special Value (Mens/Womens/Children/Baby/The Dog)

DH can imagine few things worse than everyone in matchy pjs (though they are actually quite nice pyjamas I have to say) .

DD insisted on having her winter bedding on yesterday , though I don't blame her , I was freeezing on Monday night and got cramp in both feet !

NoWordForFluffy · 02/11/2023 21:31

Evening!

Grim old day today. Though not as grim as those suffering Ciaran!

I'm going to Grimsby tomorrow to watch the Bluetones, which should be a good night. I don't often get out out. 🤣

Getting near to the Magical 50 soon Xmas Grin

There have been a few roads closed due to flooding round our way .
Our garden used to turn into a mini lake but a couple of years ago we had drainage put in, paved and the lawn re-turfed -lawns suck up the water !

CrazyBaubles · 03/11/2023 14:17

Killing Jack sounds interesting 70

We're in London to watch the Book of Mormon today. Trains were a nightmare but we're here now. Have a nice meal booked for later too so will hopefully be a good day (and fingers crossed we can get home)!

NoWordForFluffy · 03/11/2023 14:43

I'm on a nightmare train too, Crazy. Booked a seat, but they've sent a 3, not 6, carriage, so it doesn't exist! 🙄 And it's rammed.

It's cold out there. 🥶🥶

Oh , really shit about the train FluffyXmas Shock hopefully the Bluetones make up for it .

Just had a Sainsbury delivery and now drinking coffee and going to put an Olaplex treatment in my hair .

I've got a few more things on order for DD Dec 1st Box , just need to resist The Twitch now !

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 04/11/2023 07:51

I haven't seen the Book of Mormon Crazy . I do like wandering round Leicester Square and seeing all the names but never get round tp booking anything .
We're going to see A Sherlock Christmas so looking firward to this Xmas Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 04/11/2023 08:43

A Sherlock Christmas sounds good, 70.

It's bloody freezing here this morning. One of those bright, crisp, days. Rare beastie these days!

I'm back on the train. 3 hours on this one, then change to the local service home. So not too bad, especially as the seat reservations have worked today!

The Bluetones were ace. Too many talky twats though. Mark did ask them to stop a few times, to no avail. He said happy birthday to me and my friend got the handwritten set list from him. 😊 We were right at the front.

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 04/11/2023 10:35

Pouring with rain here, really grim.

Just nipped to Asda for a few things and when I got back to the car a bloke had parked so close to my car he couldn't get out, so I delayed driving off by looking at my phone for a while. It probably amused me more than it amused him. 😂

NoWordForFluffy · 04/11/2023 12:21

I love your style, Why! 🤣🤣🤣

I'm on my second and final train now. I had a laugh on train one as some brilliant strangers sat opposite me and we chatted loads. Then I managed to make an earlier train than anticipated, so I'll be home 15 minutes earlier than I would otherwise have been. It's a good day (despite the weather being shitty on this side of the country)!

Why I would have done the same!

I’ve put the heating on, it feels so chilly. Dh isn’t working this weekend and it’s so nice to have him home. Must be what weekends feel like for normal people. I’ve cleaned the fridge which was satisfying, been meaning to do it for ages.

NoWordForFluffy · 05/11/2023 09:33

Morning!

Today is my birthday. Whoop whoop! 🎉 However, lots of domestic stuff to do today as I was too hungover tired yesterday to do much as I went to a gig on Friday and didn't get back until 1-ish yesterday afternoon.

First job is Christmas pudding. Then I need to collect stuff from Hobbycraft. Then I really need to take the kids to have a photo taken for sending to a few of the older generations in our families!

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 05/11/2023 09:51

Happy birthday!

CrazyBaubles · 05/11/2023 10:25

Happy Birthday Fluffy 🥳 Your day sounds busy but in a nice way.
Will you celebrate with a nice meal (and cake) later?

Lol at making the guy wait why I think all of MN would want to do the same!

We've had a busy few days. Went to watch the rugby yesterday (Wales V Barbarians). Actually got a bit emotional as it was the last international game for a few players that I have a soft spot for.

We're also on the ball early this morning. I discovered on a Sunday a lot of supermarkets let you shop from 9:30 so we were done and out of Aldi at 10:03 😳
Picking up DHs new phone then home to clean and cook a roast for my sister, her dc and my mum.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 05/11/2023 12:01

Happy Birthday Fluffy Xmas Grin. Hopefully the FluffyDog bought you a nice present (our cats are great at buying presents , they delegate it to me )

We have a dry and sunny day here , fairly windy looking at the trees .

TheBucktoothedGirlFromLuxembourg · 05/11/2023 12:10

Happy birthday Fluffy

Asda was a flippin' nightmare yesterday why. Absolutely hosing it down when I went to pick up my click and collect groceries and the delivery van was parked in the locker "hut" so everyone had to park in the main car park and shuttle backwards and forwards with their shopping.

I need to feed my Christmas cake today but I'll have to wait until someone taller than me can get it down from on top of the high cupboard where it's stored. I'm also going to check how many Christmas cards I've got - I only post about a dozen and hand deliver about the same but I didn't buy any last year so I might need to get some.
