Here's our new thread. Almost missed that it was needed!

Can somebody add the countdown again please, as I've no clue! 🤣🤣

Crazy, that's bonkers for you too. What is wrong with these hotels?! If I'd been on my own, we couldn't have stayed as I can't carry the dog either now when recovering or ever!

That's bloody dear re the bus pass, Wreck. 😬

WreckTangled · 29/08/2023 16:53

It’s a ridiculous price isn’t it?

Crazy definitely need a patio space. He seems to think that summer holidays is a holiday for him too and he doesn’t have to do any housework, consider the dc, provide any financial support etc etc despite the fact that I’ve been working too 😡

WTAF, Wreck?!

I would definitely divorce 'D'H for that shitty attitude. Fuck that shit. Split and get CMS-ordered maintenance. See how he likes those apples!

(I have zero tolerance for shite, as you can tell!)

Fluffy in one of the hotels, we were on the 3rd floor, no lifts and literally the last door on the corridor.
For the morning I essentially threw on shorts and a jacket and carried ddog outside. He's too old to make it that far now and he gets really stressed if anything happens to cause him to have an accident inside.

Wreck maybe send Fluffy down to do the job for you while you come to Wales to get yourself an alibi meet me?
Why would he not need to pay for things because it's summer? Are things suddenly free? 🙄
Have the DC noticed anything?
Agree I think I'd have to have a very big row in your shoes.

Finally logged off now. My head is like this -> 🤯

NoWordForFluffy · 29/08/2023 18:03

Crazy, I can't dig until Boxing Day, so please nobody do anything rash until then! 🙊🤣

Good thing is that FluffyPup can hold his bladder for a long time.

OP posts:
FireflyGirl · 29/08/2023 18:34

Wreck does he think the world stops during the summer holidays?!? Kids stop growing out of their clothes and needing to eat?

I seem to recall Fluffypup's digging skills aren't too shoddy. Maybe we could recruit him?

I am responsible for most of the housework and 'mental load' here, but that's one of the reasons I only work part time. It's what works best for our family. Still pisses me off sometimes, though. I couldn't cope with having to parent my husband as well as the kids!!

WreckTangled · 29/08/2023 20:07

He’s still contributing his share to all the bills etc but nothing extra. He wants to pay his credit card off which is fair enough (it got chunky from starting up self employed) but he could have had a month of minimum payment and he’s had some good earning weeks with work.

The first few weeks he also only played football with ds once after work and that’s all ds ever wants to do, especially when they’ve been stuck home all day whilst I’ve been working. The dc noticed how grumpy he always is. He’s noticed how grumpy I am with him and I know I’m being immature by not bringing it up and talking about it but I’m pretty sure if he didn’t know what the issue was he’d have asked. Also fucking crumbs. I clean the kitchen and he comes in from work and makes a sandwich (ON THE SIDE!) and just leaves the crumbs there until I ask him to please clean it up a few hours later.

I promise I didn’t just come back on to moan 😂

CrazyBaubles · 29/08/2023 20:17

Your pup is still pretty young Fluffy so it's definitely good that he can hold it when you're so far away from the door.
My Ddog used to be great but he's 15 with shoddy eyes and kidneys - the front door was just too far away. Stupid for a dog friendly room if you ask me!

Firefly genius idea to put FluffyPup to work for Wreck.

Wreck oh crumbs make me murderous 🤬 DH is awful for them so none of us would blame you for losing your shit!

Please tell me your DH is getting some sort of consequence for being an arse (no clean clothes etc)? Is he being infuriating by continuing as normal, as though he doesn't realise you're annoyed - even though he clearly knows? Both my dad and DH do this sometimes and it make me want to kill them feel irritated and frustrated.

NoWordForFluffy · 29/08/2023 20:46

Let's not talk about crumbs! 🤬🤬🤬🤬

Nothing you've said has changed my mind, Wreck. I threatened to divorce DH over less when DS was a baby!

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 29/08/2023 21:05

Crazy dh does his own washing anyway but I’ve been leaving his coffee spoon/mug/knife etc in the sink where he leaves it instead of putting it in the dish washer where it fucking belongs. And yes he’s just acting like normal and as if I’m the one being weird and moody for no reason.

Fluffy I will have to tell him as clearly he’s too stupid to work it out. I’m going to have 12 week placements next year that could easily be 2 hours from home so he really needs to start making an effort. Dd has obviously picked up on something because she told me she had a dream that we got divorced because he was cheating on me and that’s why he didn’t have any money (as he was spending it all on the ow!) 🤔

TheBucktoothedGirlFromLuxembourg · 29/08/2023 21:24

That's really sad Wreck. I hope you can discuss it between you and get some understanding on a reasonable division of labour and family contribution - especially with your study hours changing.

Cleaning crumbs is apparently my superpower 🙄 WHY can't anyone else see them.

BiddyPop · 30/08/2023 08:35

Morning all,
My sedation didn't work so I didn't get my nice afternoon snooze yesterday. DH was grumpy that the later collection time for me (that I was only told when I went to the ward) would mean being late for DD - who only decided her plan on Sunday whereas I had put my need to be collected in his diary in MAY! And back to work today but rushed this morning so forgot my lunch. And feel groggy and ugh. But someone has booked me in meetings starting at 10 - at least I have an hour to deal with emails.

Sorry, sunny service will be renewed shortly. But so much work not yet done at home and for Cubs, and I did ignore paid work, but haven't done much relaxing on my "holidays"...

Morning!

I had a nice walk with the dog this morning. Though the forecast changed and we got a bit damp at one point! He looked at me as if it was my fault. 🙄🤔🤣

I'm taking DS into town today to spend his birthday money as he's waited over a month! Very patient of him!

@WreckTangled that is terrible, you and your poor daughter :( I hope you can come to an agreement with your placements and things changing.

The -ber months start TOMORROW! That practically means I need to put my tree up!

ConstantlyCooking · 01/09/2023 07:28

It's my first official day in my new job, so I can't stop to chat.

And it's September! Hairspray, get your 🎄🎄🎄 up (I assume you have more than one!).

It is definitely autumnal for the morning dog walk. And not entirely light!

Just need the Coke advert now. 🤣🤣

Morning all :) Dreaming here. Sorry for having been AWOL but as today is the 1st September I am definitely back in the Christmas spirit! How is everyone?

HairsprayBabe · 01/09/2023 10:44

@NoWordForFluffy i used to have two but the one from my student days finally bit the dust last year.
I have also just remembered that i got so pissed off with my lights last year i just chucked them back into the box hideously tangled :( so i have a feeling i will be buying new lights this year

@ConstantlyCooking good luck for today!
@Hopingforno2in2023 Hiya, how have you been?

CrazyBaubles · 01/09/2023 11:41

Good luck today Constantly

Welcome back Hoping Xmas Smile

Hairspray my friend moved into her own home this year and is currently buying her Christmas decs - apparently brand ally have some good deals right now.

Fluffy I'm def ready for the coke advert - I had to use a blanket and bed socks while watching tv last night Xmas Shock

It's pretty much officially Christmas here as me and DH had our first Christmas argument yesterday.
He was putting things in the attic and had a bit of a strop about us having too much Christmas stuff and the amount of room it takes it up - almost like it was a surprise to him despite him being the person who gets it in and out of the attic every year 🙄

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 01/09/2023 13:51

Good Luck Constantly

Hello again Hoping in your new guise Xmas Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 01/09/2023 13:59

Even though us lot darn sarf cannot get to Booths (and they don't deliver here) I will join in by drooling over the online book .

I have a subscription for Good Housekeeping , (freebie offer that DH got) so I don't need to look out for it , usually out round Guy Fawkes .

I love that, sadly I live down south as well. So I get my Mum to get me a copy and pick it up when I'm visiting 😁
